  1. No idea what you are missing. All I know is that I'm missing some solid donor agreed. those pics are dreadful ...
  2. I hope you don't mind me replying to this part too. While I speak reasonably good english (I like to think so) I'm not quite sure I get the nuance of this statement. Are you able to provide more data about the donor doubling procedure? Would this be a potential solution for people like me where donor area was deemed unsatisfactory (by Bisanga) and foremost: is it too soon to estimate timings of when this procedure would become commercially available ? thanks.
  3. Hey. Thanks for the input Yes, I have actually done a couple years of Dut too (3 or 4 I believe) , stopped because I wanted to have kids - but that plan went south - so now back on Fin ... might go back on Dut because of the exact reasons you describe -> potency.
  4. Obviously there is no 100% scientific way to say if I would have been bald by now (or long time ago) if I hadn't decided to go on fin 10 years ago , but I can say with 100% conviction (so , not science) that I would have been bald for years now if I hadn't gong on fin. How about that for a statement. But like I said. Fin no longer is powerful enough to stop my loss ... my facial appearance is changing too much due to serious loss in the temples so I want to start fighting it with more power... hence the fact that I purchased Regaine foam. Still figuring out what to do with it ... dermaroll or not...
  5. Very interesting and to -the-point post because: 1) yes, I have asked them to call me as soon as they have a cancellation , cause I'm very flexible. I can be at Feriduni's office literally in 45 minutes, all day , every day (I work from home) 2) yes, I have tried to contact Dr Mwamba's office ... especially after a) reading about (early) trials for donor doubling by Mwamba and b) putting two and two together as 'donor doubling' would be awesome for people like me (people that get refused for Fue because of shitty donor, pardon my french). Have not heard back from Mwamba's office tho. Maybe my question wasn't focussed enough (I asked him if donor doubling would be something for people like me, but it might be too early days for him to reply or say anything conclusive to potential customers about that). Any idea what the best way would be to contact him / his office ? again: the only "luck" I have is that I'm located in Belgium ... the mecca of top transplant surgeons ... hell if Mwamba needs people for a donor doubling trial , I think I would even volunteer (so he can follow up very strictly , cause I'm only 30 minutes away from his office)
  6. Hey man, Just had a consult with Bisanga myself. Bisanga decided not to do FUE (or anything for that matter) on me , cause my donor area was too weak. You still have more hair than me and especially , your hair is thicker. I have a combination of my mom and my dad ... my mom has insanely thin hair and my dad is mpb bald ... Check my pics : http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/172941-need-your-advice-thinking-about-going-hair-transplant-route.html#post2371695 Did Bisanga comment on your donor ? Looks pretty thick from the sideways pictures that you have put up. Just got off the phone with Feriduni office ... earliest they have a free date is August 12, 2014
  7. So , just called Feriduni office for an appointment (today is Dec 10 2013) ... earliest Feriduni is available for appointment is August 12, 2014
  8. will make an appointment with Feriduni next week (don't know when he'll be available) to get a third opinion altho I'm really putting a lot of weight into the opinion of Bisanga tbh
  9. I'm not open to FUT no. My hair in the back is REALLY freakishly thin ... I don't want to damage the skin there with some strip , just in case my only solution is shaving my entire head. There is a little bit of hope tho ... Dr Mwamba (also in Belgium, what do you know) is doing some exciting stuff together with Dr Nigam resulting in "unlimited donor". I'll drop the link (to another forum) in your PM to not violate any rules here (dunno if there are rules against posting links to other sites tho)
  10. hm ... did not really get that number maybe I should have asked. If you want I will send them an email to get that number. If it helps you in any way. Yeah , Bisanga seems legit. He's a bit of a funny guy tho. If I would see him on the street I wouldn't necessarily think of him as a top Hair Transplant surgeon.
  11. So , today I went to Bisanga for a consult. He said (summary): nope, can't do anything for you. your donor is too weak, bye (again , summary ... he took enough time to assess the misfortune of my donor ) I guess it 's important to get those different views on the matter. I'm really leaning towards trusting Bisanga on this call ... sad but true.
  12. Hey Will, Your AMAZING post was: a) one of the reasons I signed up for this forum b) gave me an extra reason to visit De Reys. Your post was also the reason I asked dr De Reys about body hair (not that I have any, I was just interested) ... and he said "yeah , don't do that anymore ... did it once at the special request of a customer, so I guess that was you " You did have ALOT of donor tho ... I guess I'm lucky to have just sufficient donor for 1500 FUE My hair in the back is , and always has been so incredibly thin too talking about bad genes.
  13. Hey guys. thanks for the comments. Baseline pic before fin.... gonna have to look hard for those. But trust me , I 've always head very thin hair (almost see through from as long as I can remember) Went to Belgian Dr De Reys today for a consult.Looked interesting. Took the time to check me out. Will write up a report when I start reporting my experiences on my HT journey. Hopefully pics in attach aren't scaled down to oblivion like my last attachment
  14. Been battling hairloss for well over 10 years now. Important note: I have always had very thin and not too much hair, ever since from when I was a teenager. (my mom also has really thin and not much hair, dad is 'bald') I was wondering if this makes me a bad candidate for any FUE work to be done. Lately my hairline has taken a serious hit (vertex too) ... Pictures were taken in huge bright overhead light and I did not work my magic on the hair with styling products , like I usually do to cover balding areas up ... So pics are completely out and open, no camouflage. I guess it's the only way to see the true nature of the damage. I'm 36 years old. Been on Finasteride for more than 10 years (4 years avodart in between) + currently using : Finasteride, Nizoral and Tricomin Thanks for your time/advice. CB
