  1. Hello Has anyone had one session of micro current accupunture on their scalp 2 months post op for dry skin relief and better blood circulation too? Is it ok to possibly have just one session and does anyone know if this will ruin a hair transplant 2 months post op or are the follicles at this point imbedded well and safe thank you.
  2. M3 Did you ever wear a hat? My question how long after the procedure can I wear a hat and go out and do things?
  3. Jkm3, Thank you for the contjnued updates. I can see what you are talking about in regards to the thinning behind your hairline. It's really not bad first of all just to let you know but I would probably feel the same as you after getting this far. In pictures 4, 5, and 6 you can clearly see what is of concern to you. In the majority of the other pictures your hair is dry and you really cannot recognize it but it looks like when you put some gel or wet your hair a little as you said to style it you can notice that it is slightly thinner right behind your hairline. Doing another 1500 if you wish will really make your hair a complete work of art! So far your hair looks great compared to the pre op pictures and reinforces my decision to go with this doc so I want to thank you again for starting this thread. I will be going in pretty soon to get my hair transplant! Thanks and hope your hair grows longer then Rapunzel's.
  4. Pp2, Thank you for all the answers and for all your progress reports I'm sure everyone appreciates it as I have. Your new pictures look good I'm glad your past the worse parts. Your hair looks like it's about to start growing big time and your cut in the back is covered up pretty well now...also your shock loss on the right side should get better soon too. Thanks I will send a pm.
  5. Wow thank you for the insight. It looks like this is not going to be easy for me too. I am sure worse things can happen but on successful finished procedure like yours do you think maybe yours was worse then what usually happens? How common is shock loss?? The puffiness I guess will be there my brother had a procedure done with Bosley many years ago and I remember the pain and puffiness he went through the first week...I was hoping thkngs had gotten better...he still has a scar from bosley it doesn't look good; do you think the trychophytic closure you got will turn out ok in your opinion.. I need fut because I will need at least 5000 grafts and it is more cost and time efficient... So a scale of 2/10 sounds like something I could handle is it a 2/10 directly after the procedure too like the next day? If so that would be nice.. Also how did the shots feel? Did you feel the strip being cut? And also how is the whole procedure on a scale of 1-10 as far as pain, comfort, etc.... If you can share anything else with me I would appreciate it if you want to PM that will be fine also. Anyone else on the forum experience the same pain for more then a month???? Thanks
  6. Hello PP2, Hope everything is going good with the transplant. I am considering fut as well with same doc. I am amazed at your story and how your pain is still around at 4 months and you have shock loss...do you know how common this is?? From my understanding this is not supposed to hurt past like the first week or so??... I was thinking of doing fut (5000) grafts.... An was hoping to be a little better after a week and then wearing a hat for a month or so.... Your scar looks really visible and red in pics upto months after...I'm sure in due time you will be fine and you will have a film aet of hair...however do you think what yoh have gone through is the case with every hair transplant of this size or was youra just a rare case...?? Lastly does the back of the head feel tight and has it gotten better yet? Does it feel normal? Also does the swelling of the eye and face happen with every procedure????? Please help answering these for me.. Thanks in advance for your answers because I really need to know...
  7. Jkm3, I have done pretty much the same thing you have. I have watched the majority of his videos and it looks like he's really good at this and he is one of the few that shows his work on YouTube. So how bad is the pain you did fue which is supposed to be less painful then fut since I will be getting a cut. Was your pain really bad and unbearable? Also what would you rate the pain in the recipient area over the course of the first week. Also after reading your post I checked out some other videos and wanted to let you know that I seen a client who had the front 70% of their scalp done. After a year it looked like front of their hair was similar to what you are concerned about in regards to your hair not matching the back of your hair. After looking really close I wanted to let you know that the new donor hair the patient had matched and looked very close to the thick textured hair he had towards the back 30%. So your hair should be fine once you hit the one year mark hope this helps you not worry too much anymore. Now talk to me about the pain I might experience even though you didn't get a FUT what do you think the pain might be like will I be ok can I bear it, how bad are the shots on a scale of 1-10. Did you recieve shots in the donor area for FUE also? Thanks.
  8. Congradulations on the hair transplant. You can see the differences in a couple of the pictures between your thicker hair in the back and the newly implanted hair in the front. However just like everyone else commented; you have to give it some time perhaps, so far it is way better then the way your hair was before. Even if you would have to live with the progress thus far I personally believe that it is way better then what your looked like before, your head looks completely different in the front. Maybe you should ask Dr. Diep if this normal and if your new hair will eventually become as thick and close to the same texture as your hair towards the back. Anyway you look like you have come a long way and your hair is looking great man. I am considering Dr. Diep as well and have already made my initial visit to him to just go over how many grafts I will need. It has been almost 6 months now and I think that I want to move forward and get this done because it has been bothering me really bad for a while now (almost 2 years). I am looking at 5000 grafts via FUT. I know that you did the FUE procedure and wanted to know your thoughts along with the thoughts of everyone else on the forum on the pain level I may experience. I am a little scared but want to get it done. I have read and carried some extensive research myself amd most people have come to the conclusion that it will not hurt as bad as I think it will. I am afraid of the cutting part and what it will be like during and after the procedure, etc... All answers are appreciated... Lastly I just want to say congradulations and thank you for your up to date and current post. Your hair looks wonderful I am happy for you and I hope that I grow the balls really quick to go in and get my hair done too. Oh and also if anyone knows will it be ok to wear a hat for a few months after the procedure during the day I would like to cover my head perhaps.. Thanks everyone! P.S. I did a lot of research on many of the doctors listed here on this forum and for me he is the closest to me and probably one of the good ones around and I would hate to have to travel across the world to get my hair transplant done but is there anyone else that might be recommended for FUT or would it be safe to just go ahead and get it done here..I don't know if this will be answered or should be answered on the board but just wanted to throw it out there since I will be spending some big bucks here. Thanks
  9. In the process of considering the strip method so that I can do more than 2000 grafts on one sitting vs having to wait a while year to finish up the back.. I was concerned about a huge nasty scar in the back of my head but have been told that the new trichophytic closure is barely visible and almost 80% undetectable after a year.. Can you guys in here whom have had a trichophytic closure procedure please share your feedback and pictures also if possible... Thanks
  10. Hello Everyone, I know this thread is almost 2 years old but is something I know everyone thinks about before getting a HT done. For those of you who have had a FUT or FUE procedure done recently can you please share the pain level at time of the operation. How bad is it really?????:eek::eek: :confused::confused: Thanks
  11. Whats Up Everyone, I have been reading the many threads over the past month or so on this forum and from around the internet in regards to HT's. I have finally decided to post and wanted to say that we should all be grateful for a forum like this which is very "real". Anyway let's get down to business. I am looking at around 4000 grafts. I reside in California and spoke to and emailed back and forth with several Doctors so far. I have been told that if I were to go FUE in the states that 2000 would be done on the first procedure and then 2000 a year later for the crown area. Or if I take the FUT route that I could have it all done at once without having to wait a year which I prefer but would rather have FUE so there will be no scar however would like FUT pricing don't we all. I have read about doctors in India and Turkey too. Doctors on the list so far include the following. John Diep who is in California Dr Hakan Doganay who is in Turkey And the following doctors who I have not contacted but seem to be truly respected here on this forum by many senior members: Erdogan & Lorenzo Any recommendations, advice, etc..????? Thanks in advance
