  1. Hello, at this stage yes I would recommend Dr Yadav. I did take a big risk by going with him. I had posted a question here on the forum, but nobody replied.. nobody knew or had any experience with him. I don't remember exactly how many doctors/clincs I contacted but I went with Dr Yadav because of the excellent communication. I know its not much to go on.. but its one thing that proves to me a reliable character. I did some digging around online as well, found that desire clinic had a groupon offer at some stage for HT, they also have youtube videos. I do know they get a lot of patients, so even though there werent many good reviews to be found.. at least there weren't any bad ones, and considering that Dr Yadav has numerous weekly bookings for HT thats a good sign. Of course, I do have my concerns.. its still early days, and still things can go wrong. You can judge by the images i've already posted and ones to come as to how you think it went and make your own decision. The clinic itself is not ultramodern, its fairly basic compared to large western hospital standards. But it, Dr Yadav and his staff get the job done regardless. With an operation lke this its more about skill, patience and genuine care for the patient and the desire to do a good job by the doctor. I think the team there have all this. Its not just Dr Yadav that does the HT, he has 3 assistants. It took about 8 hours i think to do 3000 grafts. They take turns. Thats the info.. sorry if its not so well written. Take what you want from it and make your decision. Good luck! =) Tintin05
  2. Thank you for the feedback. I can relax a little more I'll let it grow as you said and style it in a way that suits the HT. Either way its definitely going to be better than what you see in the first couple of images which is a very strong receeding hairline. Hopefully this is going to be a good confidence boost.
  3. I could copy paste what I've written in another thread. But If a moderator could move it to here for me that would be great. Until then.. please see it at the link below: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/167357-dr-prashant-yadav-india.html
  4. So my experience overall was OK. It wasn't as easy pain free and straight foward as the websites make it. The actual extraction procedure done horizontal facedown is painfull interms of holding that position for lengthy periods of time.. its very unconfortable. There is bleeding you just can't see it at the time, but you will definitely see it after. The numerous needles, the scabbing process, the copious amounts of pills and head washing and sprays... it all adds up. I would recommend doing it, but please make sure you know exactly what you are getting into =) So the photos i've uploaded are the ones ive just taken on my mobile phone.. i had my surgery on the 8th Nov so its been almost 2 weeks now. I had been a little agressive with the rubbing of my head in the last 2 days as i had enough of the scabs.. nothing that would cause pain or draw blood.. just enough and long enough that they definitely go! .. and its worked, after a hot shower, and shampoo.. they soften and are rubbed/lightly picked off with a bit of help. Looks good so far.. lots of little hairs, theres only one thing really annoying me and i hope the people of this forum can help. Do you see in the last few photos the line thats formed? Its a clear difference between implanted and existing hair.. and theres that gap.. and even like a triangle thing. Its really obvious and people at work are starting to ask questions. I have to say its a scar. Do you think its badly done? Or something has gone not quite right here? Surely it should be less of a obvious shape and more integrated with the hair behind.. or is this just how it is at the start, and as the hair grows it basically (i assume) wont even be noticible? Either way.. so far happy(ish).. I guess reading the forums and past research, the hair will drop off ,and the roots will produce new hair (lets hope). Will post more photos, i will take one every now and then when there is a significant difference and post it here. I will also post information of the medicine i've been given and dosage etc. I'll also post information given on care post procedure advised by doctor, and various other bits that i can think of. Maybe they will help somebody understand the process better or compare it with their own. Thanks all. Feedback appreciated. Tintin05
  5. Hello everyone I've had the procedure done. So far so good. I have taken daily photos, and kept a good record. I will be posting this info here. Only thing I can say at this stage is that be very careful that you know the procedure very well. It is a major procedure and not to be taken lightly. There is pain and discomfort and there is certainly a recovery period that is not so easy. I still have the scabs, they are slowly starting to fall off. Will post photos and details soon.
  6. Hi everyone, I've done a bit of research online and read through plenty of forums here. I'm considering booking Dr Prashant Yadav from Dezire Cosmetic & Hair Transplant Clinic. From seeing other posts I guess im not allowed to post url's here but, if you search for hair transplant Pune.. this HT clinic should be in the first few results. What do you guys think? From previous contact with the clinic by email I have gathered the following info: 1. They've suggested I go for the FUE method. 2. 20000 rupees deposit. 3. Blood tests need to be done in advance. 4. 45 rupees per graft and 3000 grafts needed so 1.2lakh rupees. I would say im medium balding.. the baldness is visible, but not hugely obvious depending on hairstyle.
