  1. Hi 2ndTimesThe Charm, I am actually going to have a 2nd transplant tomorrow with Dr.Arocha...The cost is considerably higher than the botched surgery I had with Dr. Rashid but I hope this will be the last time I ever have to deal with this. Did you end up filing a complaint against Dr.Rashid? I did mine via the BBB and got a refund, however, I do think he should be liable for the repair surgery...
  2. May I ask which doctor you went to see? I am in the same position as you, trying to fix a bad transplant from Dr. Rashid.
  3. I went to Dr. Rashid for an FUE transplant several months ago and the results were very poor as well (I posted pictures in a previous thread). I have to say my results look very similar to yours and I have a lot of 2 and 3 follicle grafts at my hairline resulting in a "pluggy" look. I filed a complaint against the doctor and received a refund, but I still need to fix the mess he made of my hairline.
  4. So...It has now been 5 months since the procedure. The recipient area looks absolutely horrible. The doctor placed grafts with 2 and 3 hair follicles at the very front of my hairline - the result is very unnatural and looks a lot like small hair plugs. Also, because they are erratically placed and spaced so far apart, it looks even more bizarre. My hair line now consists of natural (normal looking) hair, huge gaps, and groups of mini hair plugs. While I was having the procedure done, the doctor specifically stated that it is important to only place grafts with one hair follicle in the front. Ugh. I am not sure what to do at this point.
  5. Thanks for your responses Wylie and Spanker Does the recipient area really look that bad? I am going to go see another doctor in Houston but I really do not think I want to go through this procedure again. What can I expect to happen in the recipient area? Right now it feels like hard hairs that stick straight up, they do not move or bend at all. I also filed a complaint against Dr Rashid and the Mosaic Clinic in Houston.
  6. Thanks for your replies everyone. Does it look like there were 100 grafts placed? It doesn't seem like it...will the fact that the donor area is not very "refined" and that the grafts are very spaced out affect whether or not the transplanted hair will actually grow? Or will it just look horrible when it does start to grow? Cloudy - Unfortunately I have a professional job, so wearing a hat is not an option. I knew I would have to have a portion of my head shaved, but that area should have been much, much smaller (and not so uneven).
  7. I am a young female who had a small bald spot at my hairline due to a childhood accident. I went to Dr. Rashid in Houston and he suggested 100 grafts to cover the area. I had the FUE performed two days ago and I feel like I made the worst mistake of my life going to this doctor. First, the area to be shaved was supposed to be small, this was only for 100 grafts. Instead, he shaved an area of nearly 3 inches by 5 inches. I have long hair, which is layered and I cannot cover the area with my hair up or down now. Looking at it makes me completely devastated and I have not been to work since the procedure. Yes, I realize this will grow back, but it will take several years to return to what it once was. Second, I paid for 100 grafts, and I do not think I got more than 50. Any comments would be appreciated. I don't even care about the bald spot I had initially or what it will look like. I feel like this Dr pretty much butchered the back of my head for no reason and I have no idea how I can fix the mess he made.
  8. I knew there would be some shaving, (Dr Rashid said it would not be noticeable) but I was not anticipating a 3x5 inch area for 100 grafts! Because of this huge bald area I cannot cover it with my hair up or down. I have not been able to stop crying all day. Because I am a female and will likely never wear my hair short, I was not really concerned about a moth eaten appearance in the donor area. What concerns me is a huge bald spot that I cannot cover up.
  9. Hi, I just had a transplant by Dr Rashid (supposedly 100 grafts) and he made such a mess out of my donor area (I am a young female) that I have been in tears all day. This is a picture of the back of my head, there is NO way he should have done that for 100 grafts. Worst mistake.
