  1. Bluedude, Apologize my delayed arrival on this forum. I forgot about your private message. Like I said earlier and as an echo to other members suggesting you here, I would wait it out for 2-3 years and then go for a mega HT. I know you're a little impatient and restless to do a quick fix now, but it just doesn't seem the best option.

  3. All, Please also get a consultation with Dr.Bhatti from Darling Buds, Chandigarh. I understand the preference to do an HT from the same city or nearby Mumbai. But Dr.Bhatti has excellent reviews in this forum and most of his clients are international and many Punjabi Celebrities. Above all, his prices are competitive. I do not ask to get the HT done through him, all I recommend is to send an email with your pictures and get a consultation. This is just to get a uniform opinion across surgeons. I am 4 months post HT. My requirement was around 1150 grafts. PM me and I will share pre and post 4 months pics. Although, it's too soon, but I'll share if anyone's interested.
  4. Hi Sam111, I got my FUE-HT done at Darling Buds Clinic in Chandigarh (Tejinder Bhatti) in November. It's been a little over 2 months, so there is not much progress to share or rather I have been too busy and I have decided to wait for 6 months before making a judgement. However, I am flying to Chandigarh for work in next 2-3 weeks and thus I will be paying a visit to the clinic, probably then I can share an update. I haven't heard anything about Dr Sohi from Reviva Clinic. He might be good but atleast I didn't come across on any information on this forum during my research. My cost at Daring Buds was Rs.70/- per graft and I was billed for precisely 1136 grafts, so Rs. 80k roughly. Overall I have no complains with the procedure and the staff. I would definitely recommend them. But I would explore other renowned HT-Surgeons if any, and would decide on the HT only after visiting the surgeon. I did consult 4-5 surgeons in person before making a final call. Lastly, I think the prices have been revised since December. If you need any other information, feel free to PM me.
  5. You should try Park plaza. It's literally 10 mins walk from Dr. Bhatti's Clinic. I have stayed in Altius as well. Would definitely recommend Park Plaza to any patient getting an HT at Dr.Bhatti's.
  6. Tintin, I wish i had read this thread earlier. I too am from Pune, and I just got a procedure done with Dr.Bhatti from Chandigarh. No regrets though, he's an accomplished surgeon. Only thing, an added consultation with another surgeon from the same city would have been good.
  7. Hi Spelunk88, Your pattern of hair loss is identical to mine when it started. The only difference is - it started out for me at 25. I then quickly went on meds, and it sort of prolonged the entire Baldness. For careless reasons, I went off meds and this accelerated the baldness. The attached link shows where I am today. (I am 29 now). I am at NW 3, and proceeding with the HT. A true word of advice - I know exactly what you're going through. My guess, you would be constantly scrutinizing the bald patch day in and out, especially after a shower where its more prominent. I strongly suggest, start off with medications and keep reviewing yourself every 6-9 months. A HT now is definitely not recommended. Here's my snaps on the thread
  8. Hi, I have been contemplating a HT for the past 6 months. After much search and mainly on the positive suggestions by members on this network, I narrowed down on Dr.Bhatti (Darling Buds). I did a lot of consultations with him through email, and also paid a visit as my questions just kept increasing. His rate is Rs.70 per graft. I haven't come across any review on Reviva or Pradeep Sohi. Just saying, the clinic/surgeon may be good but I am yet to hear something.
  9. Arrie - Thanks for your reply. I have almost decided on the FUE and Dr.Bhatti as the surgeon. It seems he has a strong following here. Per his initial assessment I require less than 1500 grafts. I am taking more consultations with through email and will all my queries sorted. I will start to update this forum with my queries asked to Dr.Bhatti and his answers. I think this might assist people who are considering an FUE.
  10. Also, just to add, I am not looking to lower the hairline. I am only looking to fill the temple area and other noticeable area where there is Hair Loss. Again to reiterate an important question- Any feedback on the FUE done without the head being shaven? This is being offered by some clinics, and they do promise the same result as with a shaven head.
  11. I have been a Richfeel patient in the past. I've had very poor experiences with them. Would not recommend them to anyone unless they have proven results to show.
  12. Nick153452 - I completely agree with you. Yes, HT is not a cure, but a treatment to fix the existing problem gone out of hand. I will restart the medications from a reputed doc for as long as advised. I am very concerned about my first HT as I am aware that a second HT will be required in future. That is why I am trying to be judicious and extremely cautious in selecting the surgeon and the FUE or FUT approach. I want the maximum yield with the suggested grafts, and based on this contention I want a the FUE or FUT procedure suggested by people who have done an HT. Arrie - The FUE option gives a lesser yield. This is the only reason I am not contending an FUE. Can you improvise on the lesser yield part?
  13. 1978matt, Thanks for your comment. Sorry I forgot to mention my complete medication history. My hair loss began 4 years back (25 then) and upon consulting a Dermat I was put on Finax (another version of Finasteride) for about 1.5 yr - 2 years. This medicine and some application on the scalp, slowed the entire hair loss and delayed the MPD (I think I remained in NW1, for the whole time). But in the last 2 years, for stupid reasons I stopped all medication, and now I am on NW2. The reason why I want to fix my current hair loss with a HT is because I am soon moving my job overseas permanently and also the hair Loss is beating my confidence and self esteem. The idea is to fix the current loss with a HT, and resume all medication to avoid any further loss that may occur in other regions. I know I wouldn't have got to a HT had I been meticulous, but with where I am now, a HT seems the best option. Any comments?
  14. Yes, I have been following the forum actively and have paid attention to the refinement required on Temple Points by Dr. Bhatti. I will keep that in mind. For now, I have begun to consult through an emai Also, does anyone have any feedback on the FUE done without the head being shaven? This is being offered by some clinics, and they do promise the same result as with a shaven head. Any comments?
