  1. Thank you so much!!! I’m annoyed I didn’t arrive a day earlier. I literally get there and go straight into surgery the next morning. I fly out 2 days after surgery so it will be a hotel quick stay for me. How is Turkey right now with all the restrictions during COVID? How was it I will look at posting a onto the forum for sure.
  2. I am so glad to read that. So since we spoke... I’ve booked my next HT. I’m actually flying to Turkey next week! I’m excited about it and I think I will get more placed in the crown now that I’ve seen yours. I might even ask how many he did with you as a comparison. I’m aiming for 1750 to 2250 grafts as a top up. I’m so happy with the results from my surgeries and now I just want to add some density and volume. His assistant said that I’m a perfect candidate for that and it should fill in nicely. Those nerves still kick in but this time I’m trying to just turn it into excitement & really allow the process time as I know it takes time.
  3. Also... Your crown looks fantastic! Way better than mine and we had the same amount of grafts. For some reason, my crown never really bloomed after all 3. Or maybe it did but the native hair just got worse around it. I'd be really happy if mine looked as good as yours. Did he tell you the amounts he placed at different parts of your scalp? I think mine was 1000 in the crown, 1600 across and in the middle and 800 in the front. Again, your crown looks AMAZING!
  4. I completely agree with you! I love that after doing tones of research 6 years ago I am now back here and have noticed that he is STILL the top doc on all the forums and websites. It makes me feel so confident in my choice and I agree that he likes to conserve and think ahead rather than go absolutely all in which is why his results are consistently strong. I actually have been whatsapping with his assistant and he said he can definitely thicken up my front area for more density and I may put few in the crown but all depends on how many grafts I can get. The front is more important and filling in crowns takes so much more work, more grafts with less success rate for some reason. Plus the crown is at the back of the head and volume there isn't as important visually as the front. Plus the crown is always easy to cover with topic or other ways. After my second FUT transplant with Dr Path in Thailand, he tiold me I had about 7500 grafts left. I then had 3300 FUE with Dr Demirsoy 2 years later so I'm confident I have a solid 2000 - 3000 left. My donor area actually looks great. I keep it really short to a number 3 around the FUT scar and a number 2 everywhere else. Once this next HT grows in (my 4th!) I will look into scalp micro pigmentation (Hair tattoos) to have done all over my donor area and maybe even a little in my crown. That way I can shave the back of my head all the way down and have it appear like there is more hair there. What supplements are you taking right now?
  5. Hi there! Great results so far. Wow. Also a Dr Demirsoy patient. I had 3300 grafts done by him in 2015. Was my third transplant. Very happy with the results. Obviously, now after 5.5 years I'd like to come back and top up just for a little more density. I know Demirsoy can be on the conservative side with density and that's a good thing when doing multiple procedures over time. Definitely considering returning back. Just wanted to ask, as you mentioned in an earlier post, what other doctors have stumbled across while doing your research that specialize in density?
  6. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! Looks so great for only 6 months. You've completely restored my confidence. I am three months post op, also saw Dr Demirsoy 3370 grafts. Had some shock loss which is just beginning to recover now. I was just looking in the mirror and got excited about noticing the new growth. Then I checked my emails and saw your post. A sign of good things to come!!! You must be so happy!!!! He's such a great doc. At what month did you begin to see the growth? Did you have any shock loss?
  7. Hi mate. Love your thread. At what month did you see your shock loss start to recover?
  8. Thank you Mikey1970 I am feeling much more confident now. I am actually starting to get excited and looking forward to seeing the results unfold. Both previous transplanted started to grow in around at the 5 month mark. Very early days. As for your situation, sending you good energy. Wait it out and then re-asses in given time and seek out professional opinions about which approach is best to take. Then just take the action that seems best for you at the time. You have options for sure, lots of donor hair still available. All the very best mate:)
  9. Dingdong12 thank you! It's taken me a while to finally get around to informing you but I was researching doctors for months for someone who was similar to me. You had previous strip surgeries, plus your pre op density was similar to mine and you went for more density in the frontal area just like me. Your thread gab e me the confidence I needed to book in with Dr Demirsoy. I am now 7.5 weeks post op and after re-reading through your thread again I noticed that you too experienced shock loss. I had 1500grafts in the front and the rest spread throughout my scalp totalling 3370grafts. I didn't have shock loss in my previous procedures due to the fact that they were smaller and spread quite sparcley. I have had a worrisome couple of weeks as the shock loss has caused me to look significantly worse than my pre-op state. I'm assuming it's because of the size of the procedure and because I went for more density in an area that already has significant growth. A lot of my previously transplanted hair has shocked and as you know can be quite distressing. Since your case was so similar to mine, I read that it took about four months for you to recover to your pre-op state. How bad was your shock loss? Also at what point did you notice it starting to come back? Seriously thank you so much for sharing your story so openly and honestly. It gave me that feeling I needed to make a decision. The fact that he performs the extractions & incisions with consistent results posted by patients for the price he is made him a clear winner in my opinion. Thanks again and again and I would greatly appreciate your time in responding:) feel free to check out my thread to see my pre op and current photos. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180447-bald-patch-shock-loss-7-weeks-post-fue.html
  10. Hi afgallday. Thanks for the write up. Would love to see how you've progressed since your last update. How have things turned out?
  11. Hi mate, Great thread. Congrats on your procedure. I too have just recently seen Dr Demirsoy. I wanted to know if he used manual or motorised extraction with you since you had the procedure over two days. I had 3370 grafts in one day. Appreciate your time:)
  12. Hi Thin Jim. I just found your post and was wondering how things turned out for you? I have very recently undergone a procedure with Dr Demirsoy. I am currently 7 weeks and have experienced some shock loss. I know that it's very early days and will have to wait it out a few months before I see some growth. Am at the stage though where I can't go out in public without a hat which I read you experienced in your procedure. Did you have any shock loss? Would love an update. Appreciate your time in responding:)
  13. Mikey1970 I read your thread. It's a very bizarre occurance especially with the extremely small number of grafts you had done. Shock loss is a result of trauma to the scalp and that number would not have caused significant trauma at all. Have you been extremely stressed or experiencing any kind of emotional trauma recentl? This too sometimes can cause our body to react in strange ways. It also may have something to do with applying that much rogaine every day. You say that your shock loss recovered though from previous surgeries. At what month approximately did it shock and when did it regrow?
  14. Sorry to read. After my first HT, I didn't notice any growth until around the 7th/8th month. Everybody grows differently. Who was the doctor you saw? Or where did you have your procedure done?
  15. Hi options. I'm exactly 7 weeks post op too! I had a similar situation at about three and a half weeks post op. All my scabs were clear and I had started shedding. There was noticbly dry dead skin in one area that kind of looked like dandruff. I gently scratched it off and too noticed a hair or two shed. There was no bleeding either. To my knowledge grafts are sealed and secure at ten to twelve days. Unless there is any severe bleeding at this stage they are fine. The only concern is that nails have lots of bacteria and this could cause an infection if there were any breaks in the skin which wouldn't be a good thing for the newly transplanted hairs. Keep posting your progress though. It will be interesting to follow someone the exact timeline as myself:)
  16. Thanks for the reply's. No it wasn't super dense since13, I don't know the exact density but since I already had decent existing hair, dense packing wasn't necessary. Just general thickening. I appreciate you saying that you've seen worse that have recovered. I have just not ever seen anyone with similar circumstances to me that experience a patch like shock loss. It also appeared quite early after the procedure. At about the 3rd to 4th week I noticed there was no hair re-growing in that area.
  17. This is the part with the shock loss patch. Only a few tiny transplanted hairs still yet to shed. No previously transplanted or native hair has regrown in this area.
  18. More pictures to follow, apologies but this is my first thread and I can't upload more than one pic at a time from my iPad
