  1. [quote=1978matt; You're right and I'm not going to argue anymore. It makes no difference anyway provided readers go to a few decent HTN doctors and get a consensus of opinions. I just worry about people who go to those dodgy clinics like HTI... what's the name of their doctor again?! My attention has been brought to this post and I would like to respond on the company's behalf as follows: Health Travel International has at no time treated, corresponded or liaised with 1978Matt - his statement above referring to the company as a 'dodgy clinic' is therefore considered liable in nature as Matt1978 has not had the opportunity to form his own opinion on the company, as, as stated above, he has had no contact or experience with the company, or to my knowledge, any of its patient advocates. Health Travel International is a reputable company which takes patient care and quality standards extremely seriously. Being UK based, the company brings UK/European professionalism and standards to Turkey - this is what sets us apart from other HT clinics in Turkey. From a quick Google search - there are 4 HT companies (in the UK), all from page 1 of the search who do not advertise their surgeons. Some are very well known clinics, one of which even advertises franchising opportunities........I am not quite sure what to make of that. I will name the companies rather than post links which will likely be removed by moderators: - UK Hair transplant Clinics - HS Hair Clinic - Advanced Hair - The Glasgow Hair Clinic It is fair to say that the vast majority of people would not consider the above to be 'dodgy clinics' purely because they choose not to advertise their surgeons - it seems this 'dodgy' stigma is not attracted in their case because they are not based abroad. A good proportion of our patients have had unsatisfactory treatment in the UK and therefore look to be treated abroad. I stress again, we are a UK based company. I cannot speak for the above named clinics, but HTI makes a conscious decision not to openly display our surgeons. For the sake of clarity, we employ several HT specialist surgeons - not just one. Our surgeons are specialists - hard working, highly experienced surgeons who are focused on working hard on their day jobs which is achieving great results for our patients - NOT on boosting their profile across the globe. Our surgeons work for our company only - they are not affiliated with several agencies who bring them patients, as is the case with many well known surgeons. Unlike some of our counterparts, we do not operate as a hair factory, relying on technicians only to perform procedures with surgeons only drawing hairlines etc. Our procedures are surgeon led - in some cases, despite the cost, the company often uses more than one surgeon during a procedure where this is considered particularly beneficial. Our priority is achieving the best results possible for each patient, providing the highest level of patient care and expertise with UK professionalism. When an enquiry comes to us from a UK patient, patients are met with a full and comprehensive response from a British patient advocate - not broken English from a rep. Although there is nothing wrong with that, this means our patients can have all of their queries answered comprehensively and know that they can expect this level of understanding from start to finish. Our patients are genuine, our testimonials are genuine, and most importantly for us, our patients are more than happy with their results and the treatment they receive from us. We do not advertise heavily, we do not pay to be on forums, we work from word of mouth from satisfied patients. I appreciate that there are some 'dodgy' clinics out there, but we are not one of them, and thus, although forums are all about free speech and expressing opinions, our company would appreciate members refraining from making uninformed sweeping statements which are unprovoked, liable in nature and damaging to our company. Unlike many companies/doctors we don't use these forums to gain patients, but we do object to our reputation being damaged without valid cause.
  2. Dear Bill Thank you for your response on this on this topic which is much appreciated. I have already advised all three patients about using their own log-ins - they are, understandably quite unsettled about the furore this matter has caused so I don't anticipate any other problems in the future. Feel free to contact me if there are any other issues arising. Thank you for the alternative email address which I will use from here on. Best regards
  3. Dear Bill Thank you for your response. I can again confirm that emails were sent to yourself using the help@hairtransplantnetwork.com. I have since resent them, this time pasting the address to avoid possible transcription error, and have still not received a response. I suspect that there is a problem with this email address. I have pasted below screenshots of the emails sent showing the date and times sent. I would suggest providing an alternative email address so that I may forward to you the original emails sent and to put a very easy end to this matter, I will send you clear evidence (images, documents, individual airline ticket invoices) that each patient involved is a genuine patient of HTI. Despite any IP issue, this evidence proves without a doubt that the three patients involved are genuine. I would ask that once you have verified this fact, you do not publically share any of the data involved due to our duty of confidentiality and Data Protection responsibilities towards all of our patients which we take extremely seriously. I have now had contact with all three patients who have confirmed that they are happy for me to share their information and images with you in order to resolve this matter. I have now had a returned call from Walter (WRajah2012) who had been on vacation with his children and had no knowledge of this matter until very recently. Walter explained to me that he does not have a pc at home only a mobile tablet (IPad) which he could not use to upload his images which were on his phone and USB. Walter also has his hair styled by Nihat and used the premier lounge within the salon (a VIP area created for the many footballers and sportsmen who visit the salon – (images can be provided)) which houses a pc and entertainment suite, to update his blog. Walter has confirmed that he does not know Steve – as you might imagine, I do not know which of our UK patients know or do not know each other, my role is simply to act as their patient liaison and deal with their patient case when it is passed through to me. As a company we also have no knowledge of who does or does not choose to document their results on forums across the globe and whether they do or do not follow the Terms of Service when doing so. If Steve had not contacted me expressing his distress we would still have no knowledge of this matter. Although I can certainly appreciate that you must investigate matters reported and police suspect accounts, it appears that this is a very simple case of 3 people who are inter-related through a hair salon and have at various times used the same premises and/or in the case of Nihat and Steve, have assisted one another to create blogs and share their experiences. As I have described above, I feel the IP issue only an issue if these patients were not genuine HTI HT patients. Once you have had the opportunity to verify this, it seems irrelevant what network, pc, salon, home or IPad these patients use to log-on and whether they help one another or not. All three patients genuinely wished to share their experience and gather the advice provided by this forum, and that is what is most important. If you provide me with a working/alternative email address, or confirm that you have received the latest emails I have sent to the help@ address, I will get on with sending you all the aforementioned evidence so that this matter can be resolved. Regards
  4. Steve's email to you : "Bill Please see my response to 1978Matt which should explain everything you need to know. Apologies for the tone of that message but I find the immediate assumption quite bullish and against ethos of this forum. Dear 1978 Matt Firstly, I want to say what a sad shame it is that you have assumed the worst and looked for the worst case scenario, posting immediately before stopping to think of anything else than the negative. Just because you are representing somebody (doctor) on here does not mean everybody else has the same agenda. It is quite obvious for ALL to see, that I have had all of the surgeries I have shown - the two whacking great scars on the back of my head are obvious enough are they not!?! Nihat Yenturk is my hairdresser. He, as you can quite clearly and obviously see from the fact that he was as bald as a coot and now sports a full head of hair, had a hairtransplant a year and a half ago. Upon visiting the salon I told Nihat that I had learnt how to make a blog and share my progress and said he should do it too because his results are so good. Nihat isn't the best with technology or English as your detective work might have discovered, so he asked me to show him how to create one for himself. We did this together, simply using his facebook pictures! Don't you think if we were some covert representatives that we would both be using better quality medical images?! One member on here even asked Nihat to provide some close up images and the poor guy had me taking pictures with his iphone to upload so he could respond to the blog and again, share his results which he is over the moon about, and for what? To get this kind of a response. I'm new to posting on this forum so maybe the kind of shady behaviour you're describing is common on here, and if it is then I can see why you might think such a thing, but for heaven's sake, we were just trying to share our experiences, I thought that's what this blog was for! From the response I had to my own post, at times I wished I hadn't bothered as I was scolded for expressing my opinion. None of what I said about FUT had anything to do with HTI whatsover - and I haven't even used the company name in the name of my thread! I've already taken a lot of criticism on here for the name of my thread because of the 'Don't have FUT' - it seems any name is no good for you people. Is it just me or is it not a completely sane and rational thing to put the name of the company you used on the thread - if not then I think most people on here need to rename theirs. I saw Walter's blog on here after doing a search for HTI to see if there were any other fellow patients. I had already created and named my blog when I saw Walter's and so when I helped Nihat make his I followed suit and just put 15 months with HTI....sorry!"
  5. Dear Bill I note that you have said you have not heard from the members re the closed post - I have emailed you without response. Our patient has also emailed you without response therefore I have been forced to create an account just to contact you therefore a response would now be appreciated I emailed using the help@ email you requested with the following email: Dear Bill I have received an email from one of our patients expressing deep concern regarding posts on your forum. This patient is very upset after seemingly using your forum to share his experience and now feels has ‘let us down’ due to the negative outcome. I am not familiar with the site however I have been shown a screenshot of the post. I note that you very promptly responded to a complaint from a fellow user regarding our patient’s post however the same urgency does not appear to have been applied to the response. I can confirm that as a company we have thus far had no use nor particular interest in this forum, however I am understandably concerned with the manner with which this matter has been dealt as it appears that the post is still present for viewing but cannot be responded to. As a company we have built our reputation on genuine word of mouth, quality service, customer care and good results. We have not, unlike many companies, chosen to use forums such as yours to advertise doctors or our clinic therefore as a company we are not at all pleased about the negative impression being created as a result of the forum. I understand that you are expected to regulate the site and that there has been an issue regarding ISP addresses which we are looking into however I believe the correct course of action on your behalf would have been to either bring down the post altogether, without specifying the cause until proven, or the matter discussed with ourselves. Failing that, the post should have been left open at least until the patient in question had an opportunity to respond to the allegation made. As far as I am aware no effort has been made to contact our company to discuss this matter and according to my patient no response has been received from you thus far. I am more than happy to discuss this matter further with you and as mentioned above, we have contacted the two other patients in question to discuss the matter. In the meantime, I can confirm that all three patients are genuine patients of Health Travel International, proof of which can be provided if necessary, and none of these three patients, nor do any patients or persons work for us in any capacity. I would be most grateful for a swift response. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing the matter further.
