  1. How soon can I start using nizoral after an FUE transplant? Im using 2% Thanks
  2. Wow, Im suprised by that. Can I ask, was it a colleague in work or a close friend who asked? Also was the person balding themselves? I would expect most people who are not balding wouldnt really think about things like that. I would also have expected at the 2 month mark most of the grafts would have fallen out and thus apart from some redness there would be little sign of a transplant? Do you have growth already? Im close to a month post op. Most people in work didnt really say much when they saw me. But Ive been avoiding a lot of my friends since I was hoping that around the 2 month mark it would undetectable...
  3. i found this thread great. I have a question. There was mention of " green tinted concealer and some sort of powered mineral "foundation"" Has anyone used products like these to hide redness? Does anyone have recommendations? Also when people generally talk about concealers are they talking about skin colored make up to hide redness? Or brown colored stuff to blend in with the hair? Also I like recedingboys idea of having FUE and not shaving down until the op. It always struck me that surely if you shave down in the weeks before the op, your work colleagues would become accustomed to your (lack of) hair line and when you come in it with "saplings" it would be obvious you had something done. On the other hand if you let your hair grow and then shave on the day of surgery, when you come back to work 2 weeks later you will have a new hair line but people will be mainly shocked by you having a shaved head and will have trouble remembering the exact location of your hairline. I figure it would throw them off the scent... Just a thought.
  4. Thanks for the washing tips! Im 3 days post op with lorenzo now so getting ready to start washing properly.
  5. Hi Gotime, I am just a few days after surgery with Dr. Lorenzo and have been following your case intensely since it was one of the first posts to introduce me to the doctor. In fact my new hairline is a very similar design to yours. (I am 3401 grafts, with similar temple point and hairline design). I am very happy so far and enjoying my time off Ill make my own thread with photos soon... I have to admit though the main thing I am worried about now is going to back to work! Both yourself and I have strong temple points so I am little worried about people noticing redness there more than anything else since its so well defined! Did anyone say anything about redness when you first went back? Did you have to say you had sunburn or anything like that?
  6. Ive been getting 4 back and sides and just cut with scissors on the top (say an inch). Yeah maybe ill start with number 2 back and sides and 3/4" on top. Then a week later I can go with number 3 all over and see how it is. I assume it will be better if I shave it completely (say to a 2 or a 3) at some point before the procedure as then there will be less questions asked when I come back after the procedure.
  7. I have a question about shaving my head before an FUE procedure. I would like my co-workers to get used to me having a shaved head beforehand. However I only want to shave down as close as necessary. Assuming I am taking 14 days off work after the procedure, (and thus will have 2 weeks of growth before going back to work), approximately what length will my hair be when I go back to work (and thus what blade should I have my hair cut to when in work in the weeks coming up to the procedure). My calculations are as follows correct me if I am wrong: Doctor will shave to approx 0.9mm Hair will grow approx 6 mm in 2 weeks. So lets say about 7mm length when I go back to work or somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 of an inch. Here are the barber clipper sizes 1. Oster Clipper Blade Sizes Blade - Length: 00000 - 1/125" 0000 - 1/100" 000 - 1/50" 0A - 3/64" 1 - 3/32" 1A - 1/8" 1.5 - 5/32" 2 - 1/4" 3.5 - 3/8" 3.75 - 1/2" 2. Andis Clipper Blade Sizes Blade - Length: 00000 - 1/125" 0000 - 1/100" 0000A - 1/75" 000 - 1/50" 0A - 3/64" OA FD 3/34" 1 - 3/32" 1A - 1/8" 1 1/2 - 5/32" 2 - 1/4" 3 1/2 - 3/8" 3 3/4 - 1/2" 3. Wahl Clipper Guard Sizes Guide - Length: 1/2 - 1/16" 1 - 1/8" 1 - 1/2 - 3/16" 2 - 1/4" 3 - 3/8" 4 - 1/2" 5 - 5/8" 6 - 3/4" 7 - 7/8" 8 - 1" 10 - 1 1/4" 4. Speed-O-Guide (Red Guard) Guard Sizes Guard - Length: 000 - 1/32" 00 - 1/16" 0 - 3/16" 0A - 5/16" 1 - 7/16" 1A - 9/16" 2 - 11/16" From that I can gauge that I would be somewhere between a blade 2 and a blade 3 in standard barber clipper lengths?
  8. Any particular reason why you didnt mention feriduni in your top 5? I know its all just subjective opinions, but I have noticed you mention him a few time before so curious if your opinion has changed.
  9. Have you had a procedure Mickey85? I understand you are big into FUE Did you have FUT at some stage? With whom did you have it?
  10. I have a question regarding the downtime (I know the topic of this thread has changed over time but its a from your post post). I am curious if you were wearing a bandana in your office, what excuse did you use for wearing it? Fashion fad I have to say I think your results look great, although I can see thats a controversial opinion. It doesnt even look to me like you are balding much in the recent photos.
  11. I have also heard the view that getting it done all in one day would be easier on the patient (not the doctor of course) because of the fact that the patient only has to be anaesthetised once and only suffers one "trauma". Dunno if thats true though
  12. This is manual and is also a belgian doctor. He says he usually would spread it over 2 days but can do it in one day...
  13. Hey I posted this on another forum but Im hoping to get a response as quickly as possible as Id like to get back to the doctor. Basically I have been consulting with one of the top European doctors and had been planning a 2 day session of 2500-2800 grafts. I asked for a cancelation to come up and his consultant told me he had a 1 day session free coming up soon and that he could fit me in do the whole thing in one day. Im a bit confused by this as it seems like a lot to do in one day. Obviously it would be great as long as there are no drawbacks. Can anyone confirm this is the case? Should I be worried at all? Will he not be really tired by the end of the day? I assume he wouldnt offer it if it wasnt going to be fine, but I dont want the job to be left unfinished and then find I have to book another session in a years time. I also dont want it if its in any way inferior. Any thoughts?
