I am at 4 months and things are really starting to shape up! I will post some photos shortly.

The Proscar (Finasteride) is manufactured by TEVA USA. The price is $9 for 30 pills. This is without insurance.

Here are my pre-op and immediate post op photos. My procedure was Nov 1, 2 and 3. I had 1090 FUE placed into my front hairline, existing donor scar and crown. I just started Proscar (Finasteride). I got 30 pills (5mg) from Walmart for $9. I split them in 1/2 and take 2.5mg every other day. I also started on 5% Rogaine Foam. I apply it every night. I also plan to start MSM and Saw Palmetto. Now its time to wait and grow! I will try to update my progress in about 6 months with photos.

I just completed a 1090 FUE procedure at SMG. After prior poor HT results with donor area scarring I was very nervous to try again. I spent over 2 years researching and visiting clinics for consults. Thanks to forums like this I was fortunate enough to have choosen SMG. All I can say is SMG is a First Class organization. They made me feel very comfortable and the procedure was flawless. Tom Ortiz, the lead FUE Tech is a very experienced and talented individual. Dr. Ron, Tom and his assistants spent 3 days placing the 1090 FUE grafts in my front hairline, crown, and donor scar. This was a real team effort. I cannot wait for the final results. I only wish I would have gone to SMG to begin with instead of going to a local clinic that messed me up. Do your research and do not let distance get in the way.

I just scheduled an in office consult with SMG. I will be flying in from Florida just for the day and really hope that Dr. Ron Shapiro will be able to spend some time meeting with me. I prefer only in office consults as you can really get a good feel for the Doctor and his staff. I will let you know how it goes.

I find this entire debate on the Neograft a waste of time. Show us consistent results with before and after photos (non photoshop). One of the few Doctors that uses it is Dr. Bauman and he is also big on laser therapy and does not have the best reputation. What good is a $90K machine that a monkey can use to perform an HT? We all know that it takes a highly skilled and experienced Doctor and staff to perform an HT with great results.

I sent SMG an email to schedule an in person consult and I felt like they were not very accommodating. At first they tried to push a phone consult and I said I was not interested and wanted to meet the doctor and speak to him face to face. Second I was told that I would have to first meet with Matt Zupan and that there was no guarantee that I would be able to see the doctor. I was told that they would make an effort to have the Doctor step in at the end of the consult but there would be no guarantee. I have had several HT procedures and I am only interested in meeting directly with the Doctor and not a patient educator. I have no interest in flying 7 hours for a consult with no guarantee that I will be able to meet with the Doctor. Can I get some feedback from those of you who have had in person consults. Where you able to meet with the Doctor?

I am also a victim of Bauman. The only reason he gets media exposure is because he has great Public Relations people not because he is a great Doctor. Do not believe everything you hear and see. They should do a story on all the people he has butchered.
