  1. So the Hair Shedding I saw after applying Minoxidil ? The night I did Blow drying in the evening ?
  2. I have a question So Hair has a cycle which is Anagen, Catagen and Telogen is where the hair sheds and then it again grows in phases again. is this possible? Let’s say if I am blow drying my hair, and when you blow dry hair, there is a little bit of pulling an tension of hair that happens because of the rolling of brush. Is it possible that if you do it every other day or like on daily basis, can that push the hair into telogen phase? And by the way I am using Cold Air. The reason why am asking this is when I apply minoxidil normally, I don’t see hair shedding from my transplanted hair area, but lately I have been doing blow drying every alternate day, and I use room temperature Air,and so when I applied minoxidil, I saw shedding of some hair in my hand, these were 1 or 2 strands normally I don’t see it, not at least from my transplanted area, I know Minoxidil can cause some Telogen Hair to shed, Hair which are already in Telogen Phase, But still I was just thinking can blow dry and push your hair into telogen face when it is not supposed to. I am way out of my Transplanted Care Time with a Couple of Months now I am on my 10th Month Mark after last procedure (Of the Many that I have got done) So Can Blow drying push hair into Telogen phase ?
  3. Stopping Minoxidil before a Hair Transplant is imperative as otherwise it does not give a true picture to the hair Transplant Surgeon on which Grafts are the best to cherry pick the one's which have a chance to be in the longest time in the Anagen Phase. 5 weeks of stopping Minoxidil should not very aggressively and acutely cause hair loss.. Has the clinic/Dr also told you to stop DHT blockers before 2 weeks of Transplant ? I guess you don't have a choice? Do you ? From what I have read and know once a hair starts miniaturizing you still have atleast 4-6 weeks to revive it. That is the window period beyond that, it is the point of No Return.
  4. Anyone here using Topical Dutasteride on what Brand are you using ? And what strength and percentage are you using ? does it cause any problems especially when you apply it topically ? Any Indian audience here using Topical Dutasteride ? And which Brand are you using ?
  5. But any amount of washing, rinsing and combing and brushing hair should not lead to a permanent uprooting of hair follicle that is what we are concluding ?
  6. Yep ! Not interacting with the follicles directly. But can excessive combing of hair not make the follicles weak or something. lol !
  7. Hi Guys, Have been veteran now in terms of undergoing a HT Procedure but still even after these many times there is this one question which troubles me a lot and I feel like asking you guys here on what do you think about it? Now I am sure everyone here who have had ther HT got done would want to maintain and preserve their hair and results in the best possible way and for a long…long…time and so do I, but I get way too paranoid and scared when I shampoo my hair or when I comb my hair after I have had a shower ? I always fear when I am shampooing and rinsing my hair thinking am I rinsing too harshly ? am I applying too much pressure while rinsing? Is that the right amount of pressure to be applied ? will it lead to any permanent loss to the Transplanted Hair ? Same way when I am out of shower and when I am combing my hair when it is kind of wet/damp since my hair is way too straignt I try to comb it many times, stroke my hair many times with the comb to keep it in place because it keeps falling down, It is that slippery in texture. So even this activity makes me think is it not harmful to keep combing so many times in your hair will this lead to any permanent loss to the hair ? I know a broader and simpler answer maybe No ! But can someone scientifically explain here why cannot this lead to a loss of hair from the root ? And if it does, how do I find out if any of my hair has been lost forever ? directly from the root ?
  8. The reason to stop DHT blockers before a surgery is so that the best Hair Grafts can be cherry picked for the surgery, as DHT blockers can extend the anagen phase of hairs, it does not give a true picture of how well resilient that particular hair graft is from within against DHT attack 🙂
  9. Different Doctors that I have got my HT from all have different regime and protocols. ranging from stopping DHT Blocker and Minoxidil from atleast 2-3 weeks before the Procedure.
  10. Since the procedure I have been mostly indoors. My Life and other chores that I do, Do not require me to go out in the sun. So I am pretty sure it has not happened because of going into the Sun.
  11. I am close to a month old now after having my last procedure done and had some Beard Grafts harvested from the Shadow Area of the beard around my chin. I did my first shave just after 25 days of the procedure. And I have been noticing that area from where the beard grafts were harvested has Darkened has become hyperpigmented. I would appreciate if any of the Hair Transplant Surgeons here can answer this ? will this darkening hyperpigmentation of the skin lighten over a period of time ? is there anything that I can do to lighten it a faster ? Most likely it is because of the trauma caused to that skin area. But what if iit s permanent ? I am of an Indian Origin with Light Brown Skin if that matters ?
  12. What could have been the sign that the graft came off along with the scab ? Only the Hair or the Bulb along with the hair or what ?
  13. But still the HT Industry is divided on by when the Hair Grafts secure some say 7 days some 10 days and some 2 weeks. And on top of that every clinic has it own protocols. So very difficult to say by when the grafts are secure ?
  14. Yes but 2 grafts in temple areas is what matters, because those were fine singles hair used so it does make a visual difference IMHO. But yes I would agree with you after 7 days Grafts would be secured and it would require surgical intervention to remove it is what I have read and heard here.
  15. HI Guys, Getting some anxious, jittery moments, Have just finished day 7 on my HT Procedure, Might have accidentally scratched on my temple area where some grafts were used. Later just to make sure everything is alright rolled and tapped my finger on 2 grafts I think the brown scab has rolled in and got folded is hanging loose now. Freaking out !! I hope I have not lost the graft. No Bleeding or anything just a loose scab now. Any Inputs will surely calm me down :-)
  16. 80-85% only survive ? or 80-85% of the transplanted do not grow ?
  17. And what if I throw another possibility in the Mix, what if the grafts would have gotten loose or have dislodged? and there was no blood oozing out then how would I have known it ? That if it has been dislodged or not ? Hair grafts getting dislodged even without a blood oozing out is also very much possible ?
  18. And by very simple logic had the force of the shower been of any significance it should have dislodged the hair grafts and if it has not that means no grafts have been dislodged isn't it ?
  19. And what about Shower Water falling on it, Can that have any hindrance in the Hair Graft t Growth ! Like because of high Alkaline in water or different. In PH balance or whatever immediately after the Procedure. ? And that can contaminate it ? Which the graft is not ready for it ? 🙂
