From the photographs, it appears he might have some keloid formation occurring in the donor area. In brutal honesty, he's probably going to need keloid treatment and a successful HT. Forget the monetary currency, think about the time/emotional investment! Hairnightmare, you should revisit your pre-operative forms to check for any warnings pertaining to keloid scarring. If there weren't any keloid warnings in writing, requesting for a 100% refund is a perfectly valid course of action. As Mickey85 pointed out, some of Diep's videos do have some troubling ethical issues (no scar fue claims, 5 minute strip extraction, extracting from NW4 crowns). The doctor's message may seem genuine, but IMO, the evidential cards are stacked against him. Regardless, I wish you the best in resolving this issue. fuepower

Haha, that's almost exactly what my lady said. That being said, I definitely did my research, but you never realize the gravitas of the ugly duckling stage until it hits personally. Guess it's just me being paranoid and stubborn! Regardless, thanks for the reassurance.

Hi All, I had a transplant roughly 1.5 months ago, and I look absolutely terrible. I'm completely healed, and it looks like I've never even had a procedure. But therein also lies the problem...90% of my grafts have shed and I'm essentially back to ground zero. From reading my postop paperwork around perusing the web, this is is supposed happen. Regardless it sucks a lot. I guess my question is this...is graft shedding after a month an indicator of success/failure? Thanks, fuepower

Hi all, I've been lurking for 3 years and I've finally just signed up for an account. To keep it short, I'm looking for a good FUE surgeon in the US who can handle hair with a slight wave. My current pattern is a diffuse 3A, concealer works well, but I think the effectiveness is starting to thin (no pun intended.) Being a CA resident, I've long considered Diep or Umar. But I haven't seen enough results to really calm the nerves. Particularly Diep, he has a lot of pre-op youtube videos, but the lack 1 year follow-up videos scares me . It appears that the really great FUE docs are in Europe. But are there any comparable FUE-only specialists here in the good ole US? Thanks fuepower
