  1. Sure enough we deserve a reply from at least Future_HT_Doc. He was actually the one who did say we would hear from Dr.Diep.
  2. LOL what is going on? Future_HT_Doc said Dr.Diep would post his response later this week and that was said last month !!! Where is his response mind I ask?
  3. If he gets SMP, wouldn't it be embarrassing if someone touches his head and feels a completely bald scalp?
  4. Sorry, I haven't been following the thread, but... Is this thread legit, did a 19 year old just get a hair transplant procedure done?
  5. Who do I go to to get the test done? I don't have any good HT doctors that I know that would do it, I went to one HT doctor but he never told me anything about it and we talked about all the topics.
  6. I have been reading lately that it is best to check if your donor hair has miniaturization or not. If it does not, than it is safe to proceed with a transplant. So I'm trying to see if my donor hair can be tested to see whether I have miniaturization or not, so I can decide on whether to get HT or not. Is the miniaturization effective and very important?
  7. Is there a way to know whether your donor is minaturized or not? I'm 22 and planning a FUE with Dr.Hakan, but I would rather get the minaturatization exam done first before proceeding? Who should I consult to get that checked?
  8. I appreciate the advice, but I've read transplant hair never goes away, it is permanent, someone correct me if I'm wrong. So how did "All" of your bro's transplanted hair go away? Sorry If I'm missing something.
  9. Hey mate. Just wondering why you think he is a good candidate? I've come across other posts of yours and have seen you advising young patients to stay away from surgery IIRC, the OP is pretty young too. Just wondering did the fact OP has been on propecia for 2 years and says his hair has stabilized, make you decide he is a good candidate? Thanks.
  10. Sorry to hear that if true, but sounds like it may be exaggerated a bit IMO.
  11. So Matt, In a year or two the OP will be 22, so just wondering you think it's ok to get a transplant at 21/22? I ask because I'm also 22.
  12. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170006-21-years-old-very-bad-hairline-wanting-hair-transplant-within-next-year.html
  13. I'm 21, almost 22, and More the half the surgeons I have had a consultation with have agreed to transplant on me, and mind you these doctors are highly recommend on this forum and have a good rep.
  14. Not to hijack the thread but my question might also help the OP. Umm I'm in talking with Dr.Hakan for FUE, and my possible work is 3000 donor and 1000 beard, this is what I suggested since I thought saving some donor hair for later would be beneficial. But here I see you mentioned that using all the donor hair first is the way and leaving beard hair for future transplants. Which is more beneficial?
  15. Dr.Hakan in Turkey has agreed to transplant and he has the second week of Jan 14 available, and are asking me to put 20% discount now for my appointment to be confirmed. Should I go ahead with the surgery guys? I'm in extreme depression because of the hairloss, I know you guys are giving me great advice, but I just need a transplant and my hairloss as you have seen is really bad. They say they have treated a young patient 25 years old before as well.
  16. I graduated, and in 2 months have 3 grand saved up, in 6 months ill have 12 grand, and also there's a chabce i just might just be approved for financing as well.
  17. Thanks a lot guys much much appreciated. and guys I want a buzz cut as a future hairstyle, so strip is a no go to begin with correct?
  18. Mickey, so you said Dr.Charles and Rahal are not your recommendation for FUE, so who should I consult with? Please tell the doctor that you recommend for Fue.
  19. If I progress into NW6 than that will all be the crown though, so just wondering why front/mid scalp is still a no go? Sorry I didn't quite catch what you meant, since progressing to NW6 is all crown, how exactly does that prohibit front/mid scalp work to be done?
  20. Thanks guys. I have a hair transplant doctor in my city and booked for an appointment Aug 15th, there I'll get him to see how much donor hair/laxity I have, so that should be a good start right? His name is Dr.Gillespie btw and hes here in Calgary. Mickey, umm if i can confirm, what do you mean by my native hair going? I know what you mean, but bro I don't have any native hair left (yes exaggerating a bit), you can see my OP posts and I barely have any hair on top, If I decide to get work done on top/mid scalp, even if my native hair goes, will it be a major loss considering I have very few native hairs left to begin with.
  21. Mickey, I have family over so unfortunately can't take pics right now, but will upload them tomorrow evening. Thanks bro.
