  1. Thank you very much, Sean! I’m just getting started with consultations and agree this is a tough list to choose from. Thanks again!
  2. Thank you @Baldrick101 - Appreciate your recommendation! I had caught wind recently that a 2 or 3 of those surgeons aren’t doing as many FUT’s these days. Are you pretty happy with your FUE result from Feriduni?
  3. @Dr. Victor Hasson - Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy life to respond to my post! I’m in the process now of speaking with a H & W consultant (Mike Ferko) and looking forward to hearing your official diagnosis with # of grafts and expected density. THANK YOU!
  4. Thanks for posting. That is an amazing result! You went from no hair to full coverage and I can see why you recommend Hattingen. This is encouraging to me because my donor hair is also a thin caliber. Thanks again for sharing and congratulations!
  5. Thank you for your recommendation. I haven’t had a FUE before, just a FUT with Rahal. I’m planning on another FUT since I’m not worried about a scar and want to save a FUE procedure’s for down the road.
  6. Thanks for the feedback man and happy to hear you have a date scheduled with Hattingen! If you don’t mind, what made you decide on Hattingen and do you live in the US? Will this be your first HT?
  7. Thank you! Would you mind me asking why specifically you recommend Konior?
  8. Spex, Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to me! Also, thanks for all you’ve done for all of us hair loss sufferers over the years. Even though I have way more to learn, I’ve learned quite a bit from you already. I will do my best to speak to them and get a feel for them as well. Appreciate you!
  9. Hello Hello, I had a FUT with Rahal back in 2013 and received 2949 grafts. Based on your feedback and my research, I've decided another FUT is best before I start going the FUE route. I'm in the process of submitting my online consultation forms with these surgeons. Hopefully soon I will know their recommendations. Any pros and cons you can share on these elite surgeons? Thank you in advance for all of your help!
  10. I agree that your hair loss is minimal and you are going into a HT at a young age, but I know you've made up your mind and I totally get it. Been there. I think Bisanga is excellent and I'm about to request for a online consultation. Are you planning on doing a FUT or FUE with Bisanga? Will you be traveling far for your HT with Bisanga? Best of luck man!
  11. @Jacuzzi - Have you made any decisions on clinics? I’m interested to see who you are most interested in.
  12. Hey @Phil36fromaus - I am sorry to hear about and see the hairline result and communication issue. I thought @Dr. Jean Devroye response was very good and I'm glad he offered a free touch up. Did you end up scheduling the touch up with Dr. Devroye? Wishing you the best man!
  13. How many grafts do you think you'll need? I would think since you've had 5 FUT's already that your laxity can't be awesome. I do agree with @harry_potter1 that you should do as many FUT's as possible and then start doing FUE since you've already started with FUT. I've also been researching H & W, Hattingen, and Devroye, among a couple others like Feriduni, Bisanga, Freitas, and Lorenzo and I live in the United States. If your laxity isn't that great, you might want to consider doing a combo surgery of FUT and FUE in one session. I feel this is something you don't hear about often. I know for sure Hattingen and Devroye do this. Keep us updated and best of luck!
  14. Thank you @Shera! Everything you said makes sense and it’s important that I be realistic. But I’d imagine I’d be happy with 3000-3500 grafts. Thanks again!
  15. Thanks for sharing Melvin! I’m so happy this website exists for all of us hair loss sufferers. This has always been my #1 go to for research.
  16. Thanks for your help @Shera. If I were able to get 3000 to 3500 grafts and reinforce my hairline, strengthen my midscalp going back to my vertex, do you think it would be dense enough where I wouldn’t have the see through look anymore in the new transplanted area? I’m asking because my hair is so thin.
  17. @BeHappy @BeHappy, May I ask who you had your HT with?
  18. Thanks so much for sharing! I wish I would’ve thought of that back when I had my HT with Rahal. This will be my game plan on HT # 2.
  19. Thanks for your recommendation! Everything you said makes sense and trying to get my coverage in 2 sessions might just be a smarter route.
  20. Thanks for your feedback! Yeah my plan is to get back on Fin ASAP. We are actually attempting IVF again as we speak for a 2nd child, fingers crossed my wife gets pregnant so I can get back on Fin. This has been the holdup again as of recently. I know you are recommending me do an FUE and I’m definitely considering it. I had thought if you’ve already done an FUT that you should do as many as you can before you start doing FUE. I also don’t know if that’s true. But I’d hate to go in for a FUT and only get like 1500 grafts. I’m not sure how common this is, but I’ve heard of some clinics doing a combo surgery where they perform FUT & FUE in same session. In a perfect world I’d love to get 3000 to 5000 grafts in one session. We’ll see. I’m happy to discuss how I financed my first HT with Rahal. *** My HT with Rahal was $13,500. I bank with a credit union and refinanced my car and that auto loan was $10,000. The car loan APR was in the 4% range. I opened a credit card at that credit union and put the remaining balance of the HT ($3,500) plus my airline ticket, and hotel purchases. So I believe I ended up putting a total of $6,000 or so on that card. The APR on that credit card was 9.99%. Luckily I was able to pay off that higher interest loan (credit card) within several months. As far as the car loan goes I took out a 5 year loan and payed it off in 4 years. I’m not saying this is a great way to get a HT if you don’t have the money already, but this decision changed my life and my confidence and I’d do it again. Hope this info helps!
