  1. What photos? Am I missing something?
  2. Calm down, now. Everyone must find out for themselves the pittfalls of the "upgrade." I'm sure whoever did this feels bad enough already.
  3. Thanks all. This is good info from those who have been to Limmer. Brad Limmer gave me names of five Austin HT guys to call. What should I ask them? Should I buy lunch so they can show off thier HT? Brad Limmer suggested 3000 grafts over two days. He didn't say, but I guessed I'm a 5a on the scale with some fine hair in the front. He said I'd have good coverage in front, mediun on top, and light with a "whirl" on the crown. Does this sound about right? Was he on target with his estimates with you guys? I have salt/pepper thick hair. The price quoted for 3000 units was $9300. This is a BIG step for me (money and a little fear) but does it sound about right? Thanks again.
  4. Hello all. I'm considering a HT in a few weeks/months. I think I'm about a Norwood 5a, with very thick hair everywhere else. But, I still have some thin, soft hair in front that looks so-so. I know it's going to fall out someday but for now it's my friend. I had a consult yesterday with a reputable doc who suggested 3000 FU units, over a two days stay. He said that would give good coverage for me even in the crown. My question is how hard is it for them to work into this existing hair? Will dense packing in the front cause permanent shock loss of this hair? I am 50 and just want to look good for my age. I may think about 2500 units instead of 3000 because of the cost. Is there a big difference in result? I am going back to the doc with more questions, but I want as much info as possible first. Thanks. DN

  6. Does anyone know Dr. Bob Limmer in San Antonio? He is listed on this site. I had a consult here in Austin with MHR and was not impressed. The sales guy had a bad HT. Dr. Limmer in San Antonio answered my email the same day with a phone call. He said I could observe a surgery. He does the FU that you folks speak of. I'm just starting my research.
