  1. Hello All, I wanted to share my experience in hopes that it will provide more information to anyone who is interested in HT in Toronto or with Dr. Simmons in particular. I strongly recommend Dr. Simmons based on my experience. Background I am a 23 year old male with a Norwood 3V pattern and have been balding for about 2 years. I spent several weeks researching about HT until I felt that the next step would be to visit a doctor and get information that would be specific to my case. I decided to get consultations, first from a clinic which I will not name, though it appears to be well-respected on this forum; and second from Dr. Simmons. Visits and Intermediate Communication I met with both Dr. Simmons and Ben Shaw, who oversees operations and client education at the clinic. Ben and Dr. Simmons provided a much more professional consultation and I found it very informative despite having done research and getting the consultation from the first clinic in the morning of the same day. They formulated a conservative plan due to my age, independently opting not to treat my crown area in the interest of ensuring that I would have sufficient donor hair to treat potential future baldness, no matter how severe. Dr. Simmons was also careful to assess other factors that are specific to my profile, such as adverse scarring from a previous surgery (this was overlooked in the first clinic). After my consultation, as I was digesting the information and discussing with family, I frequently communicated with both Ben and Dr. Simmons. They were very patient and cooperative. For example, Dr. Simmons offered to do a small FUT test procedure to determine whether adverse scarring could repeat. Almost two weeks later I requested to come in for a Q&A with my father and this was encouraged by Ben. Again, they treated us with high professionalism, answering a long list of questions and concerns arising from various idiosyncrasies that I am subject to. Summary I decided to hold off on the HT for a year or two because I think that my age and preferences (e.g. I feel it would be more efficient to do a larger procedure, including crown area) pose limitations that no doctor would be able to overcome now without jeopardizing my HT experience in the long term. When I decide to go with it, Dr. Simmons would definitely be my choice of expert for the following reasons: - High ethical standards - Professionalism - Medical experience and insight therefrom - Results based on pictures (of course, you can verify this one yourself) Sincerely, DM
