  1. I have posted pics from 1 month to 2 month points and I am approaching my 3 month mark. I must say the shedding has to be at the maximum point. It has really affected my mood. I know things will be getting better and better , but right now its hard to keep a smile on my face. Looking for some encouragement and friendly chat to help me through these next several weeks. I will be posting pics around the 15th of NOV.
  2. I was curious if anyone on here has used the hairmax hari care bundle. includes shampoo, scalp cleanser, conditioner, vitamins, and a scalp fortifier. it is 35.00 for the bundle (1 month) I use minoxidil already and have been using avodart for 3 months. I am not expecting a full head of hair I just want to know I am doing everything in my power to provide a healthy scalp and hair. Do you all think hairmax would be a good treatment for healthier hair and scalp?
  3. Ok, so currently I am using The hair club EXT hair therapy line. I feel I am paying a bit much for these things. It offers: A revitalizing cleansing shampoo An enzyme like spray that cleans the scalp of oil build up and a conditioner. Also, comes with minoxidol and hair vitamins. I am in the military and will be leaving for 3 years. I am about to buy another 12 months supply before I leave and that is going to cost me about 1700!!! I am looking for anyone who knows of alternatives that work the same way, but just arent as expensive. Please help me, Thank you.
  4. Hi all, I have a couple questinos regarding my transplant. i was curious as to know whther or not you dislodged a graft or not. would you notice anything different? would it be obvious or not? I am on day 9 and on day 7 I noticed that gentle brushing on the scabbed areas with my finger tips some of the scabs were comign off. I did not force them off but the ones that were loose I gently removed (as instructed by my surgeon) I trusted his advice. Does this seem normal of a HT? Thank you.
  5. I also had a HT recently. August 15th, 2012. I get my stitches out tomorrow. August 24th. I was told as of wednesday to start gently massaging the reciepient area in the shower to start dislodging the scabbed areas. I have noticed some hairs falling out. They instructed me that it was fine and not to worry. I have read so much about what to do and not to do. I did as instructed. The only way i dealt with my itching was I would every now and again gently tap on my head with my fingers tips as this alieviated some itching. does anyone on this site believe what I have done up to this point damaged any of the graft sites? and if i did dislodge a graft site would I know?
  6. I just got my 2nd HT and this time he used a closure called the "tricho Closure" i am assuming that is the facial suture closure u speak of. I would definitely go that route as on my first HT tricho closure was not yet being preformed. I was told by my dr. that this new closure would help minimize and scarring. As for the use of any medicine on the scar. I would sugest neosporin or any antibiotic in the healing stages. and if you want less noticeable scars u could always use mederma or something like that. Im not a physician, btw. hope that makes research easier for you.

  8. Hi all! just got back from my 2nd HT in cincy ohio. dealing with the usual side effects .... but excited as ever! as this forum is not ketting me post photos through my thread for some reason i am going to add before photos from first surgery and already have the after photos as well posted. tomorrow i see the dr. for a follow up and will have him take some photos post op 2nd surgery i will be posting pictures every month with results. my treating regimen i have been using is hair club ext program and avodart .5 mg 3 times a week. seein as i got the hair club laser comb with my surgery i will also begin treatment with that as well. I am converting my original 1st ht pre op pictures today and will post my 2nd ht post op pics tomorrow. check my profile and tell me what u think.
  9. im actually stationed at dyess afb in abilene tx. im originally from kentucky and was a member before i joined. currently my treatment regimen is avodart(generic) monday wednesday and friday. the physician i used the first time and this time is Dr. daniel didocha. hopefully you have heard of him. i looked him up and heard good things from him and practice. when I go for my surgery I will ask for the original pre op and post op as well as the new pre op and post op pics for you all. as of right now im pretty sure that i will be getting a 3 rd surgery to cover my crown. I will use this surgery to cover my hairline and frontal location. I will give avodart a year and a half and see what the results are after that i will consult the physician and way out my option for another surgery.
  10. its been hard to meet with him bc i am in the military and have been away from his office I have contacted him on several occasions. My main concern was getting the thickness of my hairline and that area you had circled. is that something more feasible with 1000?
  11. so within that area is where i should spend my 1000?
  12. nvrmnd its not a good thing lol. is diffuse thinning something that one will always have on each consecutive transplant?
  13. so in a way diffuse thinning is a good thing? thx for the compliment. I am going to talk to my dr. tomorrow and see if there is a way to go up 500 more grafts. for the coverage I am desiring it seems like it is going to be inevitable that I will get another procedure.
  14. Im trying to look up what diffuse thinner means. can you help me out a bit?
  15. strip. just doing the frontal third would give me the density in that location I am looking for?
