  1. just back from a trip to Dr Feller in New York that has changed my life. After years of progressive hair loss and not being able to do anything about it, I am on the road to recovery after a 3000+ strip procedure. A big thanks to Spexhair for all the support and advice - I'd recommend anyone considering treatment to start here. If my comments here can help anyone, then I'm happy - it's the best money I've ever spent. I flew out July 5 to NewYork and had the procedure the following day. Despite my nerves and anxiety, all my fears were soon overcome. Dr Feller and his team are great - really friendly, but at all times professional. Started with a brief consultation with Dr F, explaining what will happen and marking out the areas for the strip and the grafts. You can be as much involved as you want to be during the procedure - I was curious,so happy to see progress as things were happening. It's a long day in the chair (stopped for breaks and lunch of course), but I was totally relaxed throughout and didn't feel a thing - only ached from being in the chair most of the day. After a post-procedure chat with Dr F, I left with a baseball cap on in a cab back to the hotel (about 4pm). The following day was a rest day, but still good to get out and see Great Neck NY - had a bite to eat and coffee. The hotel was very accomodating during my stay. I flew back the following day and had no problems with security on either side - even with my baseball cap permanently on and staples in my head where the strip was taken. Apart from slight numbness where the strip was taken, I'm fortunate to say that I haven't really suffered with any major pain or swelling which I was expecting. Only today (July 10) I have a slight muzzy headache, so I'm happy. The grafts look great and I'll post some pictures in due course of before and after. Once again, this is the best decision I've made and Dr Feller is the greatest - an artist!
