  1. Hi I wanted to leave a short update here. Meanwhile I'm super happy and the structure of the hair changes totally and is now the same as the rest of my hair. So for all those who have a similar problem... patience is all you need. It looks super natural. Even the hairdresser was surprised. So it was a complicated start but it has a happy end. Thanks to dr devroye.
  2. High definition pictures made by Dr Devroye self. Touch up to add density will be in a month
  3. There you can see that my hair color got lighter and almost kinked out completely. I hope 800 additional grafts will give me more density
  4. I just wanted to share some pic s. I finally was able to make some pics with higher quality. So that you can see what I mean. opinions are welcome.
  5. So I have been to Brussels and talked to dr devroye. We bespoke that I'm going to get 600-800 single hair grafts in the transplanted area to add density to my last transplant and soften everything out. The ht will take place on 21st of August. So this will hopefully be my last one If someone is interested in the kinkyness of my hair I can see 90% of it just disappeared over night.its al most the same structure of my my hair. I think this will get 100% normal within the next couple months. For my second transplant they won't shave the recieptiant area. How common is shock loss then.?
  6. Good news: 15 months and the kinky hair is almost growing back in the natural hair texture and definetly falling more natural. So for those who experience the same, patients is the key. Another problem that occurred is that the hair is now getting finer and so it's not as dense as before. I have talked to a German specialist adviser for ht and he advised me to go and meet dr devroye and ask for a touch up. I contacted dr devroye and he invited me for a consultation on the 27th. I will post his opinion then ( for those who are interested in that). By the way I have to say that dr devroyes assistant ms doucubo is very patient and friendly and quick in getting back to patients. Good service so far.
  7. It just came to my mind. Because someone had a concerning. There are a lot of patients who will have their surgery with Dr devroye. He is a very good choice. The scar healed immediately and the hair grew continously since week 11. And he always tries to stay in touch or offers help. I'm in contact with another patient. Her result is great It s just my case where this kinkyness makes the hairline a bit harsh. So don't be afraid. He does good work and his team is great.
  8. Hey Modenese, Thank you very much for your kind reply and your advice. I think I am going to stick to not considering more surgeries and moving on. If I experience any positive changes in the texture of my hair, I'll let you know. I try to upload some pictures with better quality but when I use the flash the results look more natural than they really do and as you said it's hard to picture the structure. My Natural hair is much finer than the transplanted ones and the transplanted are not really move able. They are more stiff. Thank you for your support and time. Happy growing to all others

  10. So I thought I am going to keep you updated. I'm now 15 months post op. Well let's say first I am not very happy with the end result. I already contacted dr devroye and he was very kind and said I go and see him again to improve my appearance and to figure out what to do. But at the moment I'm not sure what s the right way to go for. So why am I not happy? 1. I can't wear my hair up anymore because it looks so unreal. The transplanted hair is more coarse, kinky and thicker and darker than the rest of my frontal hair. That's not only my opinion. I already asked two hair dresser and they agreed that the texture is different and that the transplanted hair is growing not in the natural direction. 2. My hair only looks good on hair wash days AND when I blow dry it additionally. On the second day it already starts looking greasy because of the grouping of the hair and when you take a closer look you can see lines. Of course no one comes that close to me but if I would ever have a boyfriend he would come colder to my face. So the unnatural look affects my social life and life comfort. .because I always have to style and take care that my hairline is not revealed. I got very insecure. And as my hair is very fine its not good to blow dry it every day so I have to plan on which days I go out and on which I can stay in. As I said there's no way to wear it up because it looks fake. So why am I posting this? I hope to make some people especially young woman think twice about going for a hair transplant. You have temples? Ok fine I realized there are a lot women out there who have that and additionally its ok not being perfect. Better wear your temples proud than constantly cover a unreal hairline. If I had the choice I wouldn't do this surgery again. Before I was not really happy but not totally unhappy though. Now I'm just unhappy every single day. So girls think twice. I don't say that hts are bad. For some people they turn out life changing in a positive way. And if it's not the frontal area I'm sure it will have a great impact or when your hair in the front is really dark. And I'm also not saying that Dr devroye is bad bad doc because the hair grew in pretty fast and he was always trying to help me but maybe it's just my case that looks unnatural. But I wouldn't spend 8000 € for making me feel bad. I think for women there are better ways to cover temples. Sad that I had to learn it that way. If someone has any advice for me I'm really thankful for that. I will upload a pic too. I will upload a pic. It's without flash because when I'm using a flash I am never able to catch the unnatural hairline. So sorry if you think that the picture isn't the best quality.
  11. Week 11: A week ago the regrowth kicked in. I am uploading some pictures but the quality isn't very good.i am just using my mobile phone cam because I am visiting a friend in Vienna so I willbe abl ablew to take pic with better quality when I am back home next week. Cheers
  12. Yes I know what you mean. Patience has to be improved. Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it. Means lot to me to know that there are some men and woman who totally understand what I am going through. Hear you soon and have a nice Sunday
  13. Day 22: Shedding has started . I also sent some pics to the doc. He said the evolution is going on very well so far. I am going to keep you updated when the regrowth is taking place
  14. Day 15: Stitches came out and everything is progressing normally. Dr devroye said I can put sweet almond oil on the crusts and remove them gently, My hair is still in the same place and growing. I haven't shed a lot of grafts til now. The attached pic is with the oil on it.
  15. Day 13: Nothing hurts or ichtes just like the days before --> scalp is a little bit numb My stiches are going to be removed tomorrow. Hope this will be ok. My grafts are all still in the same places. Some flakes(crust) were loosening. I have a lot of flakes but i dont dare to remove them. One flake that fell out had a single hair in it. No bulb or something similar. Just the hair. Is that normal because i have read the hair should start to shed from the 14th post op day. i know 13th and 14th are not too much far apart from each other but i want to get sure if everything is allright. I also have found an interesting link on youtube published by bernstein medical. Dr Bernstein states that the grafts should be secure after the 9th days. That calmed me down because i dont really want to lose the grafts. Thats the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANnxHIQukoU Waiting for your replies
  16. Like you said. It started growing and will progressing soon. I think your endresult will be great. I think Dr devroye is a really good doc. He does a Good job. I had my surgery just 10 days ago and til now nothing to complain about. Happy growing
  17. Day 10: Numbness is now nearly gone. just feel it on 1 or 2 little places. The donor area yesterday night ichted a little bit. But as i had some different surgerys where i had to get stiches, i knew when its starts to itch, cool it. i did. i put an icebag on my neck (not on the donor)before i went to bed and in the morning time there was no ichting anymore. the grafts grew a little bit. and around them there are a litte bit flakes appearing. but everything is still clean and dry. no pain on my scalp my sore is gone and i can sleep in a much better position and on day 14 i will start to use my normal shampoo and take my first normal shower. at the moment i am still using a cup and cleaning everything gently. it takes me 10 minutes more but i dont mind about that. i love taking time for me and myself have a nice day. keep you updated
  18. Thank you very much for your answers. Dr Devroye also said that there is no need because on the 7th post op the grafts should be placed already. But i have read somewhere that its better to do that til the 10th or 14th day. Sometimes there are totally different adivces spred around the web. so thank you for your expert advices i keep you updated
