  1. Hi team, I'm a NW6 not slick bald but not to far from it, I had a HT mostly in the hairline but lost the rest , I currently have a wig that sits behind it but I'm hoping I can use fibres instead, I have very thin villis hairs all over my NW6 area, my hair in this pic hasn't been cut for 3weeks so I plan on leaving it another couple before I try! If they work for me what would be the best to use? I know my options may be limited
  2. I have gone as short as a number 3 and it was undetectable any shorter and I think it would have been noticeable, but of your thinings not bad you may be able to get away with it, Also depends which fibres you use, I was using toppik when my hair was longer but now I keep it abit shorter I use Super Millions Hair because its finer and doesn't show bt my thinnings is advanced in the crown! I preferred Toppik for other reasons I wont bore you with but my limit is a grade 3
  3. Matt, how much you use depends on how much hair you have left! I don't have to use much at the front but I do have to use a lot in the crown, but if you don't have much hair in the crown just using a small amount it's obvious wha It is so I have to use lots to cover up if that makes sense you have to keep adding it untill it looks decent! Pcg, my doc told me it was safe to use concealers three weeks after the procedure, but I'd always go on your docs advice, however it took a couple of months for it to be long enough for toppik, so I used super millions about a month after
  4. Matt, I have been using these for a couple of years now, personally I find toppik has been the best for me, definatley the most undetectable I think and it doesn't come out so easy, I also have recently used super millions hair, I shaved my head for a ht and my hair was to short for toppik super millions worked wanders even on really short hair but it did come out a lot with just water and can conjeal into clumps and if you run your hand through your hair loads of fibres are on your hand! Iv also tried boots nanogen and restrand but didn't really like them, for anyone who cared to look certainly with restrand it was obvious! Best thing to do would be to order a few small sample bottles from different places and see which works best for you, any other questions I'm happy to help
  5. there are not many reviews for it on the internet, mostly just horror stories from the 80's and people advising not to have it done because of it! I think the best way would be to get in contact with some of the clinics and see if they can put you in touch with both happy and unhappy patients so you can make your own decision! I must admit its tempting to try especially as if its being offered in the uk where i am then id say twas relatively safe here, one thing that puts me off is potential on going visit to clinics for upkeep not so much replacing them when they fall but keeping them looking fresh as they are not like normal hairs where they grow and get cut, i imagine they start to deter shortly afterwards
  6. Controversy: Synthetic Hairs and their Role in Hair Restoration? Have a look at this link I have posted it explains about the past problems and how it has now passed EU regulations
  7. It was banned in America due to health issues, it caused really bad infections on the scalp leading to all sorts of problems, it was still available in India and Italy and Prague to name a few countries. I have recently seen it though being offered in the UK, I don't know what country you are in but if its being offered in the UK I imagine it is now deemed fit for purpose here. I imagine a lot of people will advise against it because of its previous health problems, but of you are thinking about it id do some real research into it and look at some of the issues, it has caused people, That being said these were all a few decades ago so maybe now they have a safe way of doing them, but definatley research it all before making a decision
  8. Thank you so much, I shall get some photos sent t you first thing tomorrow morning
  9. Yes im 26 Now, I am committed to taking propecia, have been on it for about two and a half years so far with no sides and can afford the monthly cost. Where else in the uk could I go for a consultation that's recommended I don't mind traveling but the closer to the midlands the better. im not very good at uploading photos onto computers and things I can send them as emails straight from my mobile
  10. No was DR Bisanga who advised being borderline for FUT. ill try and up load some pictures, the rest of my had has thinned massively
  11. I should add I have a NW2/3 hair line and the rest is very much thinning into NW5/6
  12. Brothers, In 2013 I went for two separate hair transplant consultations both IAHRS doctors with very good online reviews and good results. Briefly my dad and older brother are nw6/7 but never used any hair loss products both shave their hair right down so its hard to tell density of their donor. In may 2013 I travelled to London to visit a doctor from Belgium doing uk consultations he noted that I was only just a borderline candidate for his strip procedure and advised against it due to potential future loss and retrograde alopecia. he measured my hair donor at 60/60/60 not sure if this is good bad or normal. in October 2013 I again went to London and had a consultation with a UK based clinic who stated that I had good donor hair characteristics and a suitable candidate for the FUE procedure and that they would be happy to do the procedure. I must admit over the last six months my donor has appeared thicker im not sure if this is in conjunction with me stopping smoking or another factor. I must admit im getting a bit desperate now to have hair whilst im in my mid twenties still and im lucky enough that the financial side is not an issue for me. very tempted to go with the uk procedure and hope for the best and that if my donor or top hof head hair starts going more as I get into my thirties or peopecia stops working by then something close to a cure will have come out and will be able to replace any lost hair Im a fraction confused now as to what to do, Im thinking about going with the u My current regime is just propecia once daily which has caused me no side effects has definitely slowed hair loss to a minimal so much so I have not really seen any loss since iv been taking it and slight thickening. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Joey
