A 34 year old Asian male whose acting profession required a more defined hair line approached for hair transplant procedure. He wished to reinforce the hair line. Even though he did not complain of hair loss, on examination the transient fronto temporal recession suggested Androgenetic alopecia. He is not familiar with similar pattern of hair loss in the family.He was informed about the benefits of Finasteride for the patterned hair loss. The result of the surgery was recorded 14 months after surgery The procedure was done using the strip method. 2162 FUGs were used. one hair grafts = 656 two hair grafts = 1435 three hair grafts = 71 Total No.of hair = 3739 -

A 24 yr old Asian male requested to dense pack the fronto temporal angles and fill in the crown adequately. He was informed about the fact that he would need subsequent procedures to fill more loss in future as Androgenetic Alopecia is progressive. He was advised to take oral Finasteride for maintaining the existing hair in an attempt to post pone the patterned loss. 3435 FUGs were harvested out of which 1150 FUGs were used for the crown area. Dense packing and a good number of three hair grafts helped achieve a fuller appearance. The pictures were taken three years after the procedure. A 42 year old Indian male, with a cleft lip repair scar wanted the gap filled. 250 FUGs were transplanted to cover the gap in the mustache. Patient was overwhelmed with the change in his appearance.

31yr old Indian male was given 1970 FUG for a class IV vertex presentation of AGA 400 FUG were given to the crown area and the remaining to the frontal area. He wondered if the procedure would work for grey hair. He wanted a small procedure, enough to bring a change in the way he looked. His donor density was average and scalp was tight. We were able to extract 2658 FUG using the strip method. We filled the area as per his request after creating a conservative hair line. He has been on oral Finasteride for the past eleven months, post surgery. A 27 year old Indian male decided to do hair transplant surgery for his hair loss which occurred as a result of Androgenetic Alopecia. The loss predominantly involved the frontal region along with thinning of the crown area. The patient was suggested oral Finasteride for the remaining hair including the thinning crown. He requested for dense packing. 3893 FUG were transplanted in an area measuring 70 square cm at an average density of 55 percent. A 24 year old South Indian male presented with class IV Vertex Androgenetic Alopecia . He requested for a hair transplant procedure as the hair loss was taking a toll on his confidence at a young age .The potential for progressive hair loss and future hair transplant requirement were explained. 3593 FUGs were transplanted using the strip procedure. 2000 grafts were given to the frontal region to cover an area of 39 square cm at an approximate 51% density, and 1593 were given to the crown area to cover 66 square cm at an approximate density of 24%. He was willing to use oral 1 mg Finasteride and apply topical Minoxidil 5% to maintain resident hair. Patient visited the clinic after 14 months and expressed great satisfaction with the result. A 35 year old Asian woman wanted to lower her hair line through the hair transplant procedure. A 30 square centimeter area was marked .1898 FUGs were used to recreate a very natural appearing hair line, and fill in the fronto temporal recession. Grafts were obtained via the strip method. The lady was impressed with a high density of the transplanted hair - 63 percent at the recipient area. A 26 year old University student was extremely distressed with Male Pattern Hair Loss. He opted to do hair transplant surgery at our clinic. A 24 year old sailor had a hair transplant surgery done for Class V Androgenetic Alopecia before he set off sailing 6 months ago. He was delighted with the early response. 3453 FUG grafts were transplanted using the strip technique. It is not unusual to see good hair growth as early as 6 months, but it is better to wait for 10 months to one year to see the actual outcome of the procedure.
