  1. Don't bend your neck and look down and don't lift too heavy weights for several more months, or your scar WILL stretch!
  2. I get the error when posting a normal reply (not a quick reply) in Firefox 8.0, on both my home pc (windows 7) and my work pc (windows xp). Quick replies never give any error. In Internet Explorer everything works fine.
  3. Which Nioxin shampoo are you recommending? I googled Nioxin, and found a lot of different shampoos from that brand.
  4. Ah ok, maybe it's one of the add-ons that is causing this problem then. I am using the latest update of Firefox btw.
  5. The active ingredient is ketoconazol. Any shampoo with 1% or 2% of this ingredient qualifies.
  6. For sure! The quality doctors in Belgium (Feriduni, Bisanga, Devroye, Mwamba) only charge half that price or less (Prohair Clinic a lot less).
  7. Me too! OneHairLeft has described the feelings and sensations beautifully.
  8. I think twice a day is most effective, but once a day still generates some effect. Also, I've read many times that when you apply it twice a day for a few years, from then on you can apply it only once and you won't lose all the hairs you've gained with the rogaine.
  9. Hopefully there isn't a nasty infection under there.
  10. 3 months is too short to notice any effects of rogaine. It's better to use it a whole year and then evaluate. If you can accept to live with hairloss, that your hair will slowly disappear, that's good for you.
  11. Deitel130, the defining paste is a bit more shiny and has a bit less hold/fixture than the fiber, but it doesn't make your hair look less dense than the fiber I think (but I'm not very sure, because I don't have thin hair). The defining paste is definitely easier to use on longer hair. I prefer the fiber when my hair is like on the picture next to my name. When it gets (an inch) longer, I switch to the defining paste.
  12. When I reply to a thread using (my favourite browser) Firefox, I get an error: Corrupted Content Error The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. The reply still gets through though, but I then have to return to the forum mainpage everytime, so it's not convenient. When I use Internet Explorer the problem doesn't occur. Does anyone know a fix?
  13. Why are you not using any medication (fin/minox) if your hairline has receded that much and you have a family history of hairloss?
  14. That's scary! Normally all scabs should be gone by day 14... I barely had any scabs to begin with and by day 7 my transplant area was all clean (just a bit pinkish). Guess it depends on tools and technique used to puncture the holes and place the grafts in them. Please follow the advise given in this thread and get a second opinion asap!
  15. If you start with finasteride, better also start with minoxidil. They work well together and might be able to "wake up" some of your lost hair. Good luck!
  16. You have a perfect hairline at 26 and no sign of a receding hairline at all. No medicines necessary! Just take pictures like this once a year or so and keep comparing them. That way you can stay sure that you're hairline will stay perfect as it is now. Now get out of here and enjoy life!
  17. It's been 11 days now? You can wash your hair and massage the transplanted area with your finger tips (no nails!). The grafts have taken root by now so they can't fall out anymore. You just have to be careful not to damage them, so don't bump your head against any doors or so.
  18. Yes, that is the 1% version of Nizoral. The website says it's in stock now. The 1% version is good to start with (and stay with if you want). The 2% version is too strong for some people (including myself).
  19. ihatebosley21, if you want to add density to the area of your hair that Bosley did, I would advise to go for a FUT with a good (recommended) doctor like Rahal. You'll have to be careful after the surgery to avoid scar stretching (so no lifting of heavy things and don't press your chin against your chest for at least 3 months). There's a good chance that the scar will be really thin and hidden under hairs from the tricho closure. If you only want to make the scar less noticeable (or even completely disappear with some luck), I would go for FUE in scar. FUE in scar can give an amazing result. See this example: (Link removed by moderator - See Terms of Service)
  20. Yes, because they probably made you sign some papers before the surgery in which you agree that you'll get a scar and they can't guarantee it's pencil thin etc. A lawsuit wouldn't stand a chance.
  21. Hey wb280, I understand where you're coming from. I don't think I would ever want to undergo a FUT again either! 14 days with staples/sutures in the back of my head and months of a numb feeling, gosh, goosebumps from the memory. But if you need that many grafts and you can't shave your entire head because of the previous scar, then I think you have to go for a second FUT anyway. Maybe the second time won't be so bad, because you know what to expect... and the result afterwards will be worth it.
  22. Hey man good luck! You have nothing to worry about. The first few days after the procedure might be a bit hard (swollen face, difficult to sleep, annoying feeling in donor area), but you just have to get through them (time goes fast) and afterwards you'll be relieved. I've been taking 3000 mg of MSM daily without any side effects. I think MSM is completely safe. The only problem could be that you get nauseous if your digestion can't handle such large quantities of MSN. In that case you have to start with a lower dose and slowly increase it.
