  1. I just had my HT session, 3000 grafts. I guess doing 4k or 5k means also more anaesthesia which is a burden for the body. The scar is bigger, everything more stress for the body. It is just a bigger surgery. For my part I feel 3000 are enough. I am okay now three days after surgery but already 3000 and about 7 hours of surgery is not nothing. Those days after were not my best of my life physically ;-)
  2. Thanks! Photos I dont have yet, bet I will ask Pong to give his pics he did before the surgery and then slowly compare with the future...
  3. just the eyelid 3000, you can read everything on my thread I just posted
  4. I go eating with my friend which pick me up. The OP itself is painless, only the injections you can feel for a moment, nothing. But the night... yes it was not very comfortable on the donor area. Not it is better but my eyes are swollen, it is not painful but it looks terrible. Mister Pong will check me tomoroow quickly to see everything is in the normal range
  5. just did it two days ago in the clinic of mister Pong, good experience! Wish you all the best and good luck! I opened a new thread and describes my experience a bit. Maybe interesting for you.
  6. Just would like to share some information about my hair transplantation by Dr. Pong in Chiangmai. I saw some posts where people where asking about him. I did it three days ago, so I cant say nothing about the final result yet of course. But to everybody who is concerned about Thailand as an underdeveloped country I can say dont worry. The medical system, as long as it is privat, has a high standard. I am a Swiss guy, we have one of most developed medical systems in the world, yet also one of the most expensive. Anyway I brought my sick mother to Thailand and engaged two people, one of them a registred nurse, to take care her in a nice house in Chiangmai. You cannot not imagine what they do for here, it is just wonderful. So obviously I have quite big confidence in this country which I know since about five years. Thai people are from their culture - forget your eventually bad ripp-off tourist experience in Phuket or Kho Samui - extremely diligent and careful. So was my experience with Dr. Pong. The whole setting is absolutely professional as I could see during my first visit. Mister Pong himself is a friendly attentive man and is responsible also after the surgery, washing hair everyday, if I like, answering emails at 10pm bec right now my eye is a bit swollen and so on. The surgery itself took about 7hours including a break, where delicious - normal in Thailand - food was served. 3000 grafts were transplanted, around 6000 single hairs. This man is quite experienced, at the first meeting he was searching on his laptop for similar cases like mine (thin hair unfortunately). At this occasion I could see that he treated way above 600 patience. On his website you can see only about 160. I was the only patient this day, which is his normal practice. The price was 4400 dollars, which I think is okay for this work. Including Dr.Pong there were six people constantly working. After the surgery for curiosity and bec I started reading here I checked the rates at this apparently famous doc in Bangkok. I was astonished to see about the double price. On the other hand I am not astonished, I spend about 4 to 5 months per year in Bangkok which is definitively the best city in the world, but... bangkok is an expensiv place. Not so much when you come from a western country, I compare always with Berlin, which is a quite cheap city in Europe, but for thai people Bangkok is very expensiv. So this well known doctor in Bangkok has first of all to pay a high rent (some down town condos I examined come close to the prices of Zurich already) but after all he is charging not thai prices but tourist prices. If you stay longtime in Thailand you will realize that there is the high-priced tourist system, which feels still cheap for westeners, and the normal priced thai system. Dr. Pong is charging normal prices and I can tell tell you he is still a rich guy in Thailand, the salary of a registred nurse in Thaialnd is normaly not over 600 dollars... and also he is not interested in spending a lot in marketing stuff. I assume those are the reasons for his according to the country realistic prices. Also big part of his clientele is asian, thai, koreans, japanese... That?s it for the moment. I apologize for my poor english which is not my mother tongue. If you have any further questions, I will try to answer them.
