  1. If you are in NY Dr Wesley would be a good person to check with . The options available depend on your particular case . It cant hurt to start out doing a few consults before making a move .
  2. I switched to the foam version and the itch from the liquid version is now gone .
  3. I have not measured it but it is way better than before . Some areas of it intersect areas of the old "open donor scarrring" from procedures done elsewhere . This was the 4'th strip- previous to this one I had 2 strips + 1 not so successful scar revision . Dr Wesley's was by far the best in terms of healing thinner and flatter than the previous ones from other doctors. I cant say enough good things about him and the Techs are also outstanding . A realistic goal for me is to look more natural . I have level "5ish" type pattern and may have some donor still to use . I can not fill in the crown but may work back towards it in some way if possible in the future . I still have few crown plugs and some ideas on future work but I am really happy with the huge difference this has made for me .
  4. Thanks for the compliments . I had the left and right hairline repaired . The left side is the one that was done second. It is great for me to not think about it any more . I have more pics but had a ton of trouble posting these two . I had to try a few times . I deleted some photo software a while ago and somehow get an error message stating "cant create empty file"when trying to download images .I will try to put more up . The scar is better than before .I dont have pics of it but I have a lot of scarring from the old work a long time ago so my donor is not really ideal . Dr Wesley did a great job following up with me after the procedures to make sure everything healed well .I had almost no down time after these procedures which was very helpful .
  5. Hi I wanted to update with some photos of the new results . I am very happy with how everything has progressed . It will be a full year in November since the last session but things were great even earlier because many of the grafts grew so well right from the start .
  6. I would think that it will be fine . The foam has the same active ingredient as the liquid .
  7. Good find . Does the generic have propylene glycol in it ?
  8. The old versions seem to be the only option now . The amount of propylene glycol inflames my scalp . In your opinion what is the best way to dilute the solution . I have used rubbing alcohol in the past would water work as well ?
  9. Hi Bonkerstonker I am getting near the end of my minox. supply . Are you still using the new brand ? How is working out for you ?
  10. I will keep you posted . What is different about the new brand that you found ? Is it an ingredients ratio or a different addition to the ingredients in minoxmax ? Lol ,I probably would have tried the new stuff first ! I just looked at the 6'th month pic and see what you mean about the hairline growth , nice to see it . It is rare to see minox grow hair up front and have pics of it .Keep on growing .
  11. Update . I just applied the fast dry 5% and it dries faster than Kirkland brand . No irritation so far . Seems like good stuff .
  12. I would contact his clinic to get technical information . Dr. Wesley is real down to earth and easy to talk with . Try to arrange a consult with him . He is very skilled and gives solid information .
  13. I had this done last month . Dr. Wesley taught me some interesting things about hair and it's structure . I was able to see the grafts before they were implanted .They looked like nice intact follicular unit grafts . Pretty interesting to see different types of grafts next to each other . If you are interested in checking this out it was a breeze in my opinion . It is good to see that there are more options becoming available to patients . Being a repair patient I appreciate the new techniques coming out .
  14. Bonkerstonker, Thanks for the info on the minox . I used to add some isopropyl rubbing alcohol to my 5% to reduce the p glycol which irritated my scalp . I will check out the quick dry type . Is this like Dr Lees old #500 ?
  15. I would consult with Dr Wesley . He is very skilled and will give you sound advice .
  16. Hey Bill I am very happy for you getting the repair done . I know it is a tough decision to make after having the old style open donor procedures . I myself had those and can relate . It looks like you will have a great transformation as this heals and grows in .
  17. I have had some of my old work that was done 20 years ago repaired . I wanted to soften my hairline and reduce my donor area scars. Over the years I have had some sessions of repair and have been cautious not to take any steps in the wrong direction as my donor hair is not that abundant . My hairloss is about a level 5-6 . I just want to make things look natural for this level . I learned about Dr.Wesley here and had a small session done on one side of my hairline to soften it . The small session let me conceal the work while it heals . I had it done 5 days ago and was back at work on day 3 without any real signs of the surgery due to me covering it with my existing hair . My donor scar was wide and it looks very thin now . Dr. Wesley and his staff were excellent . Compared to other repair sessions I have had this work was very clean . This was very important to me . I am trying to keep things concealed . I liked his attention to detail . I will be having the other side of the hairline done after this heals . The post op front pic shows how I comb the hair as I heal up .
  18. I would follow your doctors post op instructions as closely as possible . If you are not sure about something call your doctor or try to go in for a follow up visit .
  19. Looks really good . You will have an excellent result .
  20. I used Costco online pharmacy and have had no problems .
