  1. Bulletproof hairline!! Very similar to Dr. K's hairlines so he's definitely rubbing off on Dr. Nadimi!
  2. I'll chime in regarding FUE vs FUT because it is relevant to his pricing. Anticipating FUT I chose Konior because his scars are nearly non-existent and unless you have shorter sides, guessing 3 guard or lower (although I have seen even a 3 guard not show his scar), it most likely won't be an issue. Ultimately, he suggested FUE and who was I to argue? haha Worth note, I wear my hair much longer now so in hindsight would be completely fine with FUT. When you have hair again, you can style many different ways and I now wear it longer like I did in high school. Also consider he is one of the very best at natural hairlines so your "worse case scenario" IMO is an outstanding hairline and you can fill in the rest later if need be. No wrong decision and I think you'll really appreciate snagging a Konior hairline before he hangs up his gloves!
  3. "Aha" moment...my stylist has offered to trim my brows the past few months. I have seen her the better part of a decade and this is the first she's done this. Thought nothing of it but she is an esthetician so safe to assume I have this side as well. Got a good chuckle when I connected the dots on this one!
  4. Wow, glad you're ok!! Worth noting since this medication does involve the heart, I purchased a Kardia device which I also monitor morning/night. Everyone's body is different so you can never be too cautious IMO
  5. I concur. Tested myself to rule out the typical "Melvin the Magician" we consistently see particularly with fibers. The difference from my previous bad experience was following Melvin's blow-drying technique after application...that's key. It definitely creates noticeably more density/thickness. I will eventually try blow drying with the high-end brand as well since I still have it. Although the sea salt was a more unique texture (I liked this), I do achieve a similar density result with 2 coats Rave hairspray (combed thru after dry). I noticed about 25% less volume with sea salt vs my usual Rave routine which makes sense because of the added salt weight. Gonna stick with my usual routine for the extra volume but do plan on trying the sea salt this summer for beach days (Chicago has beaches for those who did not know). I think it’s effective enough to liven my hair on days I skip washing it.
  6. Quick update after about 4.5 months of morning dosage @ 2.5mg: *Blood pressure remains stable (record daily morning/night) *Did not have a noticeable shed nor have seen a noticeable increase in thickness *Hair literally grows twice as fast (~1/2" in 2 weeks vs 4 weeks) *Index finger is slightly larger/swollen (fitness tracker ring harder to take off) *No noticeable increase in body/facial hair
  7. Agree with others that your hair looks better now than 2016 so the regimen definitely works. Are you wishing to lower the hairline or just strengthen it? How is your crown?
  8. Interesting subtopic on the sea salt spray. I have used it in the past (Sacha Juan) and felt it made my hair lifeless and flat. May revisit since I have had luck with the Slick Gorilla brand. It was my first powder which I love for volume and helping fibers stick...great pre-styler!
  9. Do you have photos of the hairline in its prime? It may help us seeing it through your "lens" to better understand the dissatisfaction. My thoughts…the “reward” component of hair surgery is subjective and unique to each individual when weighing the risks. It is an elective surgery, not lifesaving nor serving a functional purpose outside of maybe a slightly warmer head in single digit wind chill. In the end we mostly do it because if we look good we feel good so I’d suggest if you feel the change would significantly improve your self-confidence then go for it. This would be a different story if you were late twenties and on no medication, but you’ve done the correct progressions and are at a mature enough age to consider surgery. Agree with others your hair looks great but that is just my opinion, not yours. Your opinion is what matters most since you’re the one paying the money for it and living with the results (good or bad).
  10. Just jumped on the oral minox bandwagon. I am on the 2.5mg dose and will update my experience as I progress.
  11. Fully agree with this. My stylist began texturizing my hair and it really does give a better illusion of density. I think she refers to it as "point cutting".
  12. In hindsight, worked great sticking to your guns on a more aggressive hairline. Your hair type really promotes density giving an outstanding natural look all around. Pure artistry!!
  13. Coming along nicely! Perfect timing too and will set up a fantastic summer for you!!! I plan to try a new fiber soon and welcome your input so look forward to the review! Toppik color matches perfectly for me but tends to get that greenish hue after hairspray. No greenish hue with Febron but those fibers do not adhere as well.
  14. Outstanding work on the back Very passable and we know what to look for so I think it's on point The lighting will be much more forgiving and the beard really blends everything together for a tight look.
  15. Just finished reading this thread...outstanding! Add me to another in the community whom you have had a positive impact on. This has reimagined my future plans and I'm very grateful for your time contributing to help others.
  16. Agree since it is so early you can afford to shave with minimal growth time lost. OTOH your videos have proven you to be a magician with concealer so don't think there is a wrong answer. For me, much would depend on whether I was a groomsman. That would entail much more frequent and detailed photos
  17. Dumbfounded. Excellent coverage especially given the number of grafts
  18. Truly remarkable, thanks for the shoutout on this result Melvin No thinning on existing hair correct? Both surgeries solely to lower the hairline?
  19. Dr. Konior's remarkable scars are what drew me to him originally. I'm a 3-4 gaurd fella myself and had those same fears over a decade ago when FUE was not as prevalent. I scoured many of his results specifically for scars. I was always and still am impressed by their low visibility.
  20. Easy walk yes but makehairgreatagain is right. I only had a FUE and was advised not to walk that night (mainly because loopiness of the drugs) so not worth the risk with a FUT. For reference, I paid $70 per night @ Comfort Suites (no discount code used)
  21. +1 Comfort Suites Proximity was key for me. Dr. Konior's office, Walgreens, grocery store, restaurants, etc all walkable from this hotel.
  22. Don't sweat it. I was 1 week before you and no growth here just shy of 4 months This site really helped manage my expectations so I don't anticipate seeing noticeable sprouting until late July or August.
