  1. way too many grafts - be conservative as you are young
  2. Just wanted to update as for the people who are looking into a 2nd surgery. I recently ha a Strip with Dr. Dorin in nyc to correct the last strip I had with Epstein and was not at all happy with years ago. The procedure went great and the progress is nice. I will try to upload pics but want to hide face as know others looking on site. I could not have been happier and the healing was amazingly fast. I had a bump as the first procedure was not as good - even though he touts himself as a plastic surgeon, I felt that Epstein did not care at all and was barely in the room. I also had stitches rip a bit the next night and was the worst decision to go to FL for surgery even though was cheaper than his nyc quote. I developed a significant scar and the Florida office was of no help. Getting this new one over the scar with Dr Dorin was amazing. No bleeding and my scar is less than before and healing quick. Following his post treatment method so far and all hair feeling better and thicker with his regimen. I'll get pics up as it grwos more but just want to say for those who are on the fence to do another one - I highly recommend dr Dorin and he came through perfectly! Cant say enough about post op follow thru as cleaning scar and ointment so important. Also using sulfate free made redness go away quicker -
  3. thats a good job and looks like it will fill in nicely
  4. I also use a Zirh styling product but hated their shampoos and conditioners. The styling cream is good but have to watch I dont overuse and clump hair, sometimes just use conditioner and is manageable enough.
  5. Unlike my other ones, Its absolutely mild and sulfate free which didnt leave hair stripped and dried out. Wife and kids use it too. Doesnt have dandruff zinc type actives but conditioners leaves my scalp red free and moisturized that I dont flake and looks thick and feels stronger. No silicone but I cant tell if that the reason why I dont feel oily but moisturized Actives as I can tell are on their website and literally has a ton - main volumizing proteins, 18 MEA to reinforce hair, keratin proteins. Saw another member swear by it and wife's big salon place said the same for any type of dry or damaged hair especially, but for all types.
  6. Had a member suggest Dr. Dorin's Scientific Essentials and havent changed since - worked better for me, I didnt like the scalp feeling after nizoral and saw too much redness. This had better materials and top notch results. Had rough winter the first yr of surgery and used a sulfate shampoo, this has no sulfate silcones, parabens and thickens hair nicely.
  7. yuo may start losing as I did but have to say it wasnt bad and have been off all yr - transplant was good enough for me
  8. think you might need to spend a bit more as that would be low end quality - do lots research
  9. That looks great and hair looks THICK!. Quite a change from 1st to now. great hair and length that still looks strong. I am still afraid to leave mine too long.
  10. I like the pure transplant docs not ones that do other stuff too..........
  11. wow that is amazing at 4 mon ths - just shared with friend who wants to do his with True or Dorin in nyc. same type of loss that you had
  12. Think you should do it, some great docs do that and DR. Dorin just put some great pics up. Worth visit to NYC
  13. U need to wash every day, scalp builds up oils and need to properly cleanse skin. Wife is stylist and depending on weather, oils secretes at different rates. Finding the right shampoo is the key to build up thickness. I have two golden ones and use them regularly, one more than another......
  14. I agree with the revita reviews - never had luck with it and think its not made well. I especially had issues in summer with humidity and scalp always greasy and hair matted. As much as we spend on surgery, its tough but need to find right blend of products - maybe switch between 2 to keep hair good.
  15. thats right and more scarring can occur, longer better
  16. I am still using propecia but think Rogaine works better for me
  17. No shampoo grows hair and its BS that revita claims it does. wastes people's $$
  18. Alpecin and Revita were horrible for me, just use a sulfate free gentle one
  19. Hi - I had a 3000 regular transplant years ago and was thinking of adding more and logging on to read other experiences. have people done FUE for their 2nd surgey at all or stuck to going over the same scar and having a repeat of that procedure done? thank you.
