  1. I suffered with dry scalp and dandruff and crazy flakes. I stopped using regular shampoo and conditioner. I use Nizoral twice a week and no longer have flakes. Don't take hot showers either, I find that in the winter I get dandruff cause I shower with hotter water than in the summer. Might just be bro science but from my experience taking showers with colder water gives me no dandruff.
  2. I know this is old, but I don't use shampoo outside of Nizoral x2 a week. My dandruff is gone and my hair never feels dirty nor does it smell. Trust me my gf would tell me if it did.
  3. I'm a diffuse thinner I've been using Minox and Nizoral for almost 2 years now. While I had some regrowth I would still shed a good amount of hair on a daily basis. While putting on rogaine, while in the shower etc I would say I shedded a depressing amount of hair. I'm on month 5 of Keratene retard 2 pills a day. I've noticed no sides on my libido, as pointed out in the research. I'm 35 y/o and still get random boners and horny as fuck. Sure the frequency is no longer there (thats just the aging process i guess) but the desire sure as hell is. Anyways, this product has definitely worked for me the amount of shedding is drastically down and people have commented on my balding slowing down and my hair looking better. However I attribute most of the hair regrowth to the minox and the improvement in hair retention to the retard as it seems to have drastically slowed my balding. These are obviously just my opinions based on my personal experience and not backed or observed scientifically. cliffs: - 5 months on it - Shedding decreased drastically - No sides, thus far - Would recommend.
  4. I was afraid of that I don't think I'd be a good FUT candidate either cause I have little to no elasticity anywhere on my head except for the base of neck. But I will make sure to focus on donor area quality and graft potential. No I'm not on any meds. I'm afraid of the side effects, I know they're rare but would rather not risk it. I'm single so I'd hate to have an ED episode if I'm about to get lucky on a date heh. Rather bald than limp is my motto at least for now. Future HT doc: I'll be going to NHI's open house in 2 weeks, hopefully I'll be able to speak with Dr. Rassman I have the money and I've decided on having the surgery, provided I'm a good candidate for surgery (as in my donor hair is enough) and I can find the right doctor. Thanks once again for all your replies
  5. thanks for the reply. I have been reading up on Feller and Shapiro and I like their work, however I would like to keep the procedure to So Cal if possible. If I dont find a doctor I feel confident in then I will look into doctors who are out of state.
  6. Hi, obviously I'm new here. I've only recently started really considering HT. I'd like to go the FUE route, instead of FUT. The biggest reason is that I like to cut my hair short, 1 on the sides/back and 3-4 up top. However these past two years I've been cutting it to a 2 . I'd like to have a few opinions on my type of baldness and possible grafts before scheduling an appt with a Doctor. I know only a doctor, can give me an accurate answer to my questions but I would just like to have a better idea on what to ask, and what types of questions I should ask. I took the pics myself, with the sunlight serving as flash. My questions are. How many grafts do you guys think I may need? Would I be a good FUE candidate? My hair is fine/thin Anyone here have any experiences with New Hair Institute in Los Angeles? (I will do a search for threads, but I figured I'd ask) Or experiences with any FUE doc's in Southern California. What other questions should I ask, what should I expect during the consultation Yes I'll stay away from the AA guy. Thanks in advance I added donor area pics, will try to get better ones tomorrow as these were self taken, will get someone to take some for me tomorrow
