  1. Hmm, always thought he had some awesome hair genetics. Looks like he may have some minor thinning along the hairline, not bad for his age and years of admitted steroid use.
  2. Wow, your result is pretty mind blowing already with improvement to come. Awesome result, as a fellow high NW this is very encouraging. How have friends/acquaintances reacted to your new hair/appearance?
  3. Wow, mind blowing result. Amazing what a good doc and great quality, thick donor hair can do. Happy for you bro, enjoy
  4. Looking good so far, hoping a comb/hairbrush is in your not so distant future. Happy growing
  5. Wow, his hair loss pattern is almost identical to mine at 29...ugh wishing I went the same route as him, very nice results
  6. Dermatch worked pretty good for me with short hair.
  7. Wow, amazing result. Also, it seems you were an ideal candidate with mostly frontal recession and minimal crown loss. Must feel nice to have a full head of hair again, enjoy.
  8. Really like the hairline, should be a solid result. Best of luck.
  9. Looking pretty good for 3 months. You definitely have more hair now than when you started and things should only get better from here. You had a very large area to cover and density probably won't be ideal but maybe 2nd procedure down the road if possible will nail things. Hope you get a grand slam result and it looks promising so far, best of luck.
  10. Was wondering this as well, is he on meds? My hair was almost identical to his at about age 25/26. Then by 29 I was easily a NW5.
  11. Wow, new pics are looking great, would dream of having hair like that.
  12. I started fin at age 23 when I was like NW2 and didn't notice much sides expect maybe some fatigue. Then I started reading horror stories on the internet that scared the crap out of me and I stopped after 5 months and just started combing my hair forward to hide recession. Now fast forward to age 32 and I'm a full blown NW6 (holy sh*t, FML). After bouts with various concealers I started shaving my head completely at age 30. I really have mixed feelings about not staying on fin, I'd feel horrible if I somehow permanently F'd up my hormones but I'd still have hair at least and look way better. Sad that we have to choose between these 2 options, I can't believe how slow science is progressing in this area.
  13. Only your first photo loaded for me, but honestly your hair looks fine for your age. Certainly way better than my hair at age 25. I think a NW1-NW2 is pretty normal for mid to late 20s and I'd only be concerned if you started seeing lots of diffuse thinning throughout the top of your head or your crown. Cutting your hair shorter at the sides can also give the effect of a fuller head of hair. You are certainly no where near the "must shave your head" phase (which I am unfortunately dealing with right now : ( so no need to do that unless you really want to. Enjoy the nice hair you have
  14. Jeremy Piven looks to have had one (there are pictures online of him with a strip scar) Some others I suspect (who seem to be gaining hair as time goes on): Chris Berman (ESPN) Adam Levine (Maroon Five) Jamie Fox Matthew McConaghey
  15. You have a great hairline/thick head of hair. Stop worrying and enjoy it, trust me you'll know if/when you're losing your hair...
  16. After coming to the realization that I am rapidly headings towards NW 6-7 territory, I am considering re-starting fin against my better judgment. My hair line has been receding since about age 19, however it didn't start to bother me or really become noticeable until around age 22. Began diffuse thinning in the crown and mid-scalp around age 24, and now at age 29 basically my whole non-safe zone is made up of thin miniaturized hair. May post pics if I get the nerve, but basically my hair is very similar to Prince William, except dark brown and shorter (same diffuse thinning). Started taking fin at age 23 for about 5 months. Didn't experience any major side effects, but I did feel slightly more tired and sex drive may have also been a bit down. Also, I started reading all the horror stories on the internet and that may have freaked me out, so I stopped. Now I feel so desperate I may even be willing to risk some sides if it will help my hair. Minox made my heart race so I had to stop that. The only "treatment" I am now on is Nizarol 1% (2-3x a week, for about a year) and 320mg of Saw Palmetto (about 1 month so far). However as the horseshoe grows clearer and clearer, I feel I need to do something more to save my hair. I am single, and my confidence with women has taken a huge hit. Although I don't wear concealer to work, I can't go out to any non-work social gathering without it. I feel naked without it, and even that has been less and less effective as the hair loss has progressed. I am basically 100% that I have massive amounts of DHT (extreme body hair), so I do know the root of the problem. I have thought about buzzing my whole head, and may do it soon, but I am not thrilled with its shape and don't think that will help my confidence much. Financially, transplant is not really an option at this time (as I would need a MEGA session or 2, or 3). Basically just venting so sorry for all of the the rambling. Any thoughts/advice are welcome, thanks.
  17. That result is nothing short of mind blowing, that Dr. Rahal is a genius, congratulations. I remember you saying that part of your crown was still untouched, I was wondering if you could show us a top/back view to get an idea of where you stand there.
  18. It's harder to use concealer on the hairline than on the top, especially if your hairline is pretty receded. I'm at around a NW IIIv and I can kind of lower my hairline to around a NWII with nanogen. I have some wispy hair there and the fibers kind of fall below it making it look thicker. It takes some work though to make it look somewhat natural.
  19. My hair loss pattern is similar to yours (diffuse thinning on top), except you have a better hairline. I've been using Rogaine foam and Rogaine liquid alternately (foam when I have to go out somewhere and need it to dry quick, and liquid when I have no where to go because it takes forever to dry). I will probably switch completely to foam next round even though it's more expensive. I apply it once a day (at night) and have been doing so for a little over 2 months. I use a little more than the recommended dose (about 1 & 1/4 dropper dose for the liquid, and probably a little more than a half a capful for the foam). I apply it all over my thinning area and hairline (I'm about a NW IIIv with diffuse thinning into probably at least the NW IV zone). So far I've notice some minor improvement, there seem to be little thin hairs sprouting up in the NW III region of my hairline and the mid scalp looks slightly thicker and less see-through. Hopefully this improvement continues with continued use. Hope that helps somewhat
