  1. I am still wondering if anyone knows which of these doctors, or any others than Umar, do leg hair transplants. Any further info at all would be appreciated. Dr. Hakan Dr. Lorenzo Dr. Villnow Dr. Erdogan
  2. My doctor advised against leg hair transplants, and he said there was a case of a woman who got a leg hair transplant, and there was damage to her leg skin that resulted in the need for a skin graft (I believe he said the damage was due to the anesthesia). Has anyone heard of a case like that? Is a leg hair transplant risky?
  3. Anyone know how much these treatments add to the cost of an FUE procedure?
  4. I am extremely confused by your post. What are you trying to say here...?
  5. My doctor was Dr. True, I haven't asked his opinion on leg hair though I plan to at my next follow up.
  6. I've already done scalp and beard hair with a good doctor, my chest hair isn't usable, and so I only have leg hair as an option. And I know very few doctors do leg hair (mine doesn't). You only have so much hair on your body...I would never risk that for price. I don't really care about the price, especially since I'm assuming the first trial to see if it works for me will probably be some few hundred or maybe 1,000 grafts. I'm not concerned over $10,000 at all. So I just want to go to the doctor who has the most experience/gets the best results. I know leg hair can fail a lot but I'd rather that be my own bodies' fault than that of the doctor. So so far in this thread I've seen the following recommended for BHT: Dr. Hakan Dr. Lorenzo Dr. Villnow Dr. Umar Dr. Erdogan Do they all do leg hair though? As again, that's my only option left, and I'm willing to give it a try.
  7. So does anyone know of any leg transplant doctors other than Dr. Umar? Also, is it known how many people this works for? I contacted Dr. Umar and he showed me papers on some very successful treatments, but I don't know how many have had poor results.
  8. A lil' off topic, but why are there no 1mg Finasteride pills? For a generic, can't they split up the dosage as they like?
  9. I was wondering who the most reputable leg hair transplant doctors in the US were. I'm aware that leg hair transplants are a shaky thing, with failure a high probability, so I do not have high expectations. But I'd be willing to do a trial. I've heard of a Dr. Umar though don't know much about him. What doctors in the US do leg hair transplants, and which ones are the most experienced/have the best reputations?
  10. Thanks. Is it this one by Apex? Google: "Apex Pill Splitter" They also have a "deluxe" white one, and an "ultra" clear one, though I don't know what the difference is between the three.
  11. I'm looking for a good pill cutter for splitting Finasteride 5mg into pieces (I assume 4 pieces, as that's what most seem to go for). But there's a bunch of choices for "pill cutters" on Amazon, and I'm not sure which ones are meant for pills the size of a Finasteride 5mg pill. What pill cutter out there is best for Finasteride 5mg, cutting into even pieces without turning them powdery, etc.?
  12. 15 minutes? And here I was thinking 30 seconds was a long time! Wow. I find it hard to believe there would actually be a benefit to rubbing it in for so long - surely the active ingredients would be absorbed long before then...?
  13. I am unsure what the best way to get your scalp to absorb the most minoxidil is. Just how long should one spend massaging Rogaine foam into their scalp? Should one take a decent amount of time doing so, which basically leaves the scalp dry afterwards. Or, should one limit the massaging in and thus leave the scalp slightly "wet" and let the foam absorb on its own? Which way will lead to the most effective level of minoxidil absorption?
  14. OK thanks guys. Just some random blog site I found while googling. A mod removed the URL in my first post, but if you view the image it's from that site.
  15. I saw the following banner at some site about hair transplants (URL removed by Moderator). No description of the patient is given, and the results look extremely suspicious to me. Is this person's "baldness" in the bottom pic just the result of a shaved head, and he isn't even balding, just made to look like it? Is this guy wearing a wig? Or is there a chance this extremely positive result could actually be legit? Here's the picture:
