  1. I had my FUT by Dr Path & his team almost 3 wks ago. His assistant mentioned that Dr Pong was trained by Dr Path himself. He then opened his own outfit in Chiang Mai. Full on shedding has started. From shedding scabs to hairs, this's been a long month..
  2. You didnt do anything wrong, relax. Mine've been falling out the past week too, all gone now i think.
  3. Yes pls put your pics up and we'll do some mutual tracking lol Today i scratched out a lot more white stitches (unintentionally but didnt hurt). Last night I painstakingly soaked a truckload of crusty scabs and then removed them (while watching Chuck Norris). Hows your scabbing going?
  4. And I did it last night, thanks for the vote of confidence Levrais I put on a Chuck Norris flick. Sat on the sofa with a glass of water and piece of cotton next to me. Spent the next 2 hours painstakingly dabbing wet cotton on sections of recipient, made crusts soft and then slowly rubbed/scraped them off. Very slowly and with much love. And today im totally crust free. PHEW. Hows yours doing smartguy?
  5. Akuma, i got mine done by Dr Path as well, 12 days ago. Confess to being so mad busy i havent had the time to return (though he'd only asked me to return yesterday so technically im a day late..). I'll head there early next wk to get them removed. P.s. I'm based in Bkk at the mo so i'm pretty flexible with timing, and he seems relaxed about it too. Had a dreadful itch at the donor area this evening, rubbed it a bit and a chunk of white stitching came out. No pain or bleeding and itch actually stopped after that. So think its defo time to get them removed (to the extent that i haven't already), so rest assured you're alright.. Love your last line. We all really gotta just relax but damn its hard!
  6. I'm 12 days post HT and lots more scab shedding to go too. Scabs have moved out as hairs have grown (so they're stuck to the middle of most growing hairs like misguided crusts), but I'm resisting the urge to rub or pull. Thanks for the tip Levrais. Was too afraid to rub!
  7. Ny, hows your progress so far? I just had my first FUT 4 days ago and am now the classic symbol for the itchy & scratchy show. Hope you're faring better!
  8. x, keep us posted of what your doc says. i bought a beret over lunch. SIGH!
  9. xlevelorx, argh i read your story and made me feel so frustrated for you because I went thru a similar situation. I've been losing hair steadily the past 10+ yrs (i'm 29 now), and it never really bothered me the first 5+ yrs because i have otherwise very thick hair. But everything that fell started falling from the front! So incredibly frustrating. Then the past 5 yrs the thinning accelerated and became too obvious to ignore. I spent thousands (which at times i didnt have..) on minoxidil, the regaine/rogaine type shampoos, gallons of herbal/medical tonics like Neril, and lots of herbal treatments that my mom swore would work. And which obviously didnt Was so depressing because my 'Patch' was right at the front. And the past year i realised it was spreading because the front bit (surrounding the Patch) was getting thinner. I just did a FUT from Dr Pathomvanich in Bkk 3 days ago. 981 grafts. He was absolutely brilliant. Obviously its a long road ahead now waiting for the transplanted hair to fall out and then wait for my hair to start growing out. But just looking at the dense packing he's done is cheering me up. But i know just how ure feeling. Its incredibly frustrating, esp as a young female, to have to agonise over your hairline, thinning hair, 'patches' etc. And the worst thing is that just like yours, mine was more obvious and became worse when i lost weight (healthily). SCREAM! I got tired of living on side parts and increasingly conspicuous side combovers. I was so so sick of not being able to use a head band, comb my hair straight or do a side part. To some these are 'little' things, but if you're a chick in your 20s, not been able to use a head band or comb your hair back in 10 yrs, and you spend loads of time trying to creatively think of ways to style your hair, that was too much for me. So hang in there. hugs. Dont know what more i can say to help other than you're not alone. In my case nothing else helped and i didnt want to waste more money on other things and decided to do the HT. And ironically the HT cost is a fraction of what ive spent on other things, including herbal gimmicky stuff. If you decide this is for you, only if, and then when you can, i strongly recommend you do your full research and find a good surgeon to help. I'll keep uploading progress pics on my blog so hope thats an inspiration for u to work towards

  11. All I have to say is, as a below 30 woman, everyone time i talk to someone or come face to face with someone, and they instinctively look at the thinning patch right at the front of my head (and then avert their eyes as though they've intruded), it makes me very self-conscious & also embarassed to the point where i try to avoid coming face to face with people. Cos the inevitable following scene plays itself in my head over and over. Seriously, its way more than vanity when it makes you feel crappy and pray to god nobody looks at your 'patch' for more than 2 seconds. Just did my first HT 2 days ago, 981 grafts to try bring some life to the patch. Dr Pathomvanich in Bkk who I really cannot recommend enough. Now I patiently wait for some growth and for the day i can comb my hair back and stare people in the eye and mentally challenge them to stare at the front of my head !
  12. Amazing results mate. I just did my HT from Dr Path 2 days ago. Am now in 'itchy and scratchy' mode but resisting very hard against giving in to the itch and ruining all the good work ...
