  1. Update I’ve been buzzing grade one but seen good growth, prob gonna try and grown out from April to see the big picture. here is today after buzzing on grade one (I’m just over 5 months 2nd transplant) v 1 year ago which is 4 months after 1st transplant.. easy to see the progress a grade one buzz all over looks pretty good and I quiet like it cheap and easy 🤙
  2. 4 month update (from transplant 2) been buzzing in grade 1.5 all over, this if after 13 days, might let it grow for a few months now see what I get out of it. got some super close up on new iPhone below. started oral minoxidil yesterday so taking 2.5g of that alongside 1mg fin, hair vitamin, and Derma stamping once a week. questions anyone know if I can use minoxidil spray, was just gonna use it after Derma stamping, 1once a week, as I’m doing oral? other that beard and head do they use donar hair from other hairs or have they managed to clone hairs? Overall feeling: -think the density is gonna be much lower than I expected -minimal donar left, I have a really thick beard so if need a 3rd might have to use that and whatever else they have to dense up -few islands at the front which is annoying as wanted them filled on 2nd transplant - gonna be patient see what happens over next 2/3 month - I actually suit a 1.5 grade and like my hairline looks ok so that is a positive
  3. Some pictures from 3 months (Jan) post 2nd transplant, this is after letting in grow for 3 weeks, been buzzing grade 1.5/2
  4. I’ve just started the fin and mid combo, been on fin for a year after transplant, wanna see if mid wil Thicken the hair
  5. Hi I recall reading you can get some texts thyroid and testosterone tests to check if they are optimal for hair growth… Can’t find the thread on this, or can anyone share what to get done and why? thanks
  6. Based in Turkey with LongHair Center. yes will post up some pictures in different lights different angles. It’s a long way off where I want it to be, I’d hope HT 1 to be more dense thicker as been 12 month and currently I’ve not cut it for 8 weeks which is the longest I’ve let it grow without cutting. But prehaps if I let it grow out for 6 month it will thicken up, I’ve had 600-700 added to the front as part of HT2. I am thinking of using 5% Minoxidil and de wrap rolling to help with hair growth and thickening. Has anyone done this before ?
  7. As promised said I would post my journey good or bad to try help others. I’m 8 weeks post 2nd HT and juts over 1 year post HT1. other points i had SMP mid section and crown between HT1 and HT2. I did this as i buzzed my head 3 months after HT 1 and wanted to fill in the horse shoe line at the back. (It worked with show more pictures of that another time). Here are few pictures from pre to today here is pre op NW6 Here is a few weeks after HT 1 I was grade one for serval months at the moment no hair cut for 8 weeks longest since 1st HT I had 700 grafts put in front in HT to thicken up the gaps, but keen to try topical or something to help grow and thicken, any recommendations… I was thinking DUTA and derma roller… been on oral fin for 7 months and taking hair vitamins
  8. I would do solo to start with, go with a saloon and do 50/50, then 70/30 then try on your own, if you mess up you got someone to help.
  9. I waited 10 months then they filled in gaps from first transplant , I get you tho wsiting 2 years in long, but be prepared you might need a 3rd session. I filled in my crown with smp after 1st session and it did the job, also will help with density for 2nd session. interested to learn about arm hair to head hair transplant, didn’t know you could do that… which dr do this… have you seen the results of people who have had this done on this forum…
  10. Hi Nov 23 update. today I am 1 year from first transplant where I had the front done, this is the longest I’ve let it grow at 4 weeks, as I buzzed it grade 1 from April 23 to October 23. The density at front is ok but I was hoping for better and it seems to be less dense that May/June time. Maybe after not cutting for 3/4 months it will thicken up. I’ve just had number 2 done, 1 month ago, to fill the mid section and crown. I also had 600 grafts to fill in the gaps/islands at the front. Hopefully March/April 2024 I will be able to gauge how it looks, and if they’ve done a good good job, average job or prehaps a clinic to stay away from. I will post some better pictures up soon.
  11. Amazing hairline, you must be so pleased. You said oral minoxidil and duta? You still doing this? I though minoxidil doesn’t help newly transplanted hair? It’s just to prevent further fallout? Also what is duta? what was you hair care routine like? I’m like you have had 2 transplants and will prob need a third, but haven’t got your dinar quality.
  12. I’m week 3 on my 2nd transplant, had first one nearly 1 year ago and want to know what people used post transplant for hair and scalp Care… what shampoo? (been using Manual, ingredients are - Biotin, Saw Palmetto and Caffeine that stimulate and revive hair follicles.https://www.manual.co/hair-loss/power-shampoo any oils or serum? How do you use them? Derma rolling? Read this is ok post 2 month transplant. Vitamins - been using Manual hair vitamins too I also take 1mg of fin… you can see transplant One at the front in this picture had 3000 grafts in Nov22 goal would be to thicken these up, any tips? I have been keeping it grade 1 for serveral months. I did have another 600 grafts added here for transplant 2 days to beef the area up… In the mid section to the crown had about 3000 added in October 23 (also got some SMP done in the mid and crown in April 2022) sides and backs 3 weeks after transplant 2 Juts a waiting game but would like some advice on hair care routines as I didn’t do much after transplant one apart from vitamins and fin.
  13. Will post up some 9 month results in the next week or two planning on getting number 2 done to fill in the mid section and crown. Have been keeping it buzzed inbetween this period. Also I have had 3 SMP sessions so when my head is buzzed there are no gaps. This will help when the mid section and crown is filled up and add a bit of density to the look, (I hope) only half way their but after number 2 I then have another 6-12 month to see the end result. marathon not a sprint for NW5
  14. Hi I’ve had 3500 grafts put in the front 4 months ago, the plan is to get smp just to fill in the gaps, next then have transplant 2 in 2024 to fill The back and mid section. QUESTION I want to keep my hair short (grade 1/1.5) between now and transplant 2, and plan to get SMP to fill the gaps, is it possible to do this? I don’t really like the full SMP look and just want to fill in /blend in the spares areas with SMP in the mid section and crown. Has anyone done this before? If so were you happy with the results? SMP artists do you have client you’ve done this with before how easy/hard is it can I see results? Im Based in London but happy to travel to get it done properly. Prior to this I was wearing a hair system for 10 years and am attempting to go from system to hair transplant, currently in the cap 🧢 stage, but want to be free for the summer and just looked like I’ve buzzed it at grade 1 /1.5 any help of advice on blending… I also think it will help with density when I go for transplant 2 in 2024, see pictures below I don’t need the front touching it’s coming along nicely, just a couple of bold spots in the mid section and look a bit shoe horn at the back when it grows out.
  15. Hmmm from my personal experience. I found it very professional. Dr Ahmet Yildirim did all 4200 slits on my head and the technicians extracted the hairs and inserted them. He has been doing it for 10 years. I was in a very clean modern hospital and felt looked after, at no point was I worried that this was a mill. I work in digital marketing so you can’t determine if a hair centre is a mill by Google reviews being 4.9. I’ve had lots of customers who are builders and hairstylist who have 5.0 on Google review as their mates have reviewed them and given them 5* doesn’t mean they are bad builders or stylists. But I get what you are saying, it would appear that some of the reviews aren’t genuine but I would guess they have paid an external company to manage the channels/reviews, that doesn’t take away the skill of the Dr and his team. Anyone thinking of Turkey needs to select the Dr Carefully, do your research ask questions like, what part of the procedure will the Dr be doing, get them to include it it writing, if the main Dr isn't doing the slits or any of the op, then who is and how skilled Experience are they. My op was 8 hours and had 5 people working on me. It’s hard for one person to do it all, i don’t think there are many surgeon out there that do it all. In 5/6 months time I’ll be able to share my result with Longhair as only just coming up to 3 month. Picture below are pre op v today 85 days post op. Will send an update next month o progress. Only time will tell 🤞😛
  16. Pretty slow coming up to 3 months next week, months 4 and 5 is usually when most start to notice the difference, but takes 12 months to full reap the benefits. Haven’t had a cut since the start, prob gonna grade 1/2 buzz in in March, then let it grow out at the end of summer. waiting game now
  17. Can’t be believe you get one system to last you a year, I guess I played football in mine and surfed so it got battered, I also only went for a low density so after 3 months you can see lace. Even at £300 a piece over 10 years it’s £3k and you can get them done in Turkey for that price but you need to do your homework. The worst part for me is now, 2 months post op, I’m just waiting for growth and I will need a 2nd one too to fill the crown. Don’t miss regrooms. Also I didn’t want my kids to reach teenagers years and rumble me.
  18. Well HT have got much better and more affordable over the years, 10 years ago when I started wearing a system it was £30k for a transplant. Now more surgeon and the average man can afford it. So if I get a regroom £40 every 3 weeks, and 4 new systems a year at £400 a pop, that’s £2300 a year. Next 20 years that’s £55k or pay £5-10k for a transplant. Also colouring the system, maintenance and the older you get the density is tricky. It was a no brainier. But don’t get me wrong no regrets, hair systems are good and undectable. I’m just at a different life stage now.
  19. Yes Dr. Ahmet Yildirim did all the slits, don’t recall all the technicians names, they take the hair out and put them in, but you do have to put some trust in the Dr selection of the technicians, it’s not like you can look them up on Linked in. I was pretty happy with how it went I’ve got a lot to cover and only half way there the plan is to have number 2 done in late 2023 so won’t be 2024 until I see the end result.
  20. Thanks all, I ended up Buying Manual ‘Power Shampoo’ the website said this, I’ll let you know I get on they sell Fin to and needed some. Caffeine, Biotin and Saw Palmetto, all famous in the science of hair. Caffeine is proven to stimulate hair follicles and elongate the hair growth phase by 70%. Saw Palmetto has been shown to naturally reduce DHT by 32%. I’ll give it whirl, bit more pricey that the highstreet brands
  21. Try Hair4all London. Is you interview face to face or online? If online you could prob get away with not bonding at all, if it’s wet ish is can just sit on top. Worth asking if some one can do you a cut piece to do the job (ie not a new one)
  22. Hi just wondering what people do post 10 days. Im 13th day post op that my scalp feels/looks a bit oily… What shampoo in U.K. would people recommend, my Dr said ‘natural’ ie not loads of chemicals… Do people wash every day or or 2 free times a week?
  23. Thought I’d start a thread for anyone who has had a hair transplant in November to share their progress. Had mine mid November 4300 grafts (500 from beard). Had my 10 day wash today. Here are a few pictures from the fiest 10 days from Pre op to first watch. This is my first transplant, thinking of getting the 2nd one to fill the mid and crown in 12 month. Pre Op Measured up Back at hotel Back home 10th day wash
  24. I am having a HT with LongHair Centre tomorrow 17th Nov. I will happily add up pictures over the next year. I have done a fair amount of research and stalked people who have been there.
