  1. Yeah will try take some new pics today/tomorrow..
  2. yeah that's exactly what I was going to do although now that's its done, I think I would be ok telling certain people around me.. I definitely think Rooney took a lot of stigma away from this type of procedure. He educated a lot of people on something they otherwise would never have come across... or know about.. A couple of people I have spoke to have called it "a Rooney"
  3. Hi Spartan, thanks you for response. A lot of folks on here seem to grow later on. maybe I just got lucky. My surgeon was Dr.Feriduni. What doctor did you see?
  4. So I'm 3.5 months post op and I cant hide my results. I got a call from a family member recently who said "Hey did you doing something with your hair while you were away?" My response No, why? " It seem to be growing back!" I can't believe the difference in such a small space of time. Big difference between 2.5 months and 3.5 months. At month 2.5 your kinda thinking, maybe this didn't work. At month 3.5 your kinda thinking this is awesome, should have done it years ago. Also, I went to my regular hair dresser last week for a number 2 on the back and sides. He spotted the OP straight away, He said it was the cleanest procedure he had ever seen. He has seen many before me and many scares. He seemed to be familiar with the process and the procedure. He even told me just to wait a couple more months till the hair gets really strong.. Very happy how this has panned out, much easier than expected. My observation, If your going upwards of 1500 - 2000 grafts in the frontal area people are going to know, a good thing I guess?
  5. Agree with Arrie, I will post my 3 months pics in a week or two , including the before and after but I must say it was so dense packed and clean I was amazed... I bough a magnified mirror to try and see the spaces between the hairs.. I stayed a week just for the aftercare piece, Feriduni and or a member of his team seen me every day for a week and washed and checked everything out personally.. I'm sure he will look after you
  6. I was Feriduni's first of 2014 (6th of Jan) Kinda proud of that, everybody was just back from vacation and having a great time, even me Relax, and enjoy the experience. I stayed there a week and booked a really nice apartment down the road from the clinic. It meant I could buy shopping and cook at home. I think it cost much less than the a hotel and restaurants for a week. I can pass you on the details if you want them PM me...
  7. Ok.. Massive anti-climax there, I used 1g, half a cap full on the effected areas, just as it advised on the instructions. I rubbed it in, and it was dry and gone it seconds. No sensation at all. I was expecting to "feel" something once it hit my head, Nothing at all... I'm thinking I did something wrong but not sure how I could get that wrong. Wow, If that's how it rolls, that's no hardship at all... I'll go with once a day, night time for now and see how it goes.
  8. ok thanks the feedback guys.. I'm going to give it a go.. I'm hoping it won't cause any damage to the new growing hairs and if I don't use it in my native hair then I should not see shedding..? Hopefully wont cause any red or pinkness , I'm not long over that stage
  9. I'm coming up to 3 months post FUE after 2400 grafts in the frontal area. Everything seems to be going according plan. I want to start using meds but I want to phase them in slowly to understand how they effect me. I wanted to wait fully heal and for the pinkness to go down before possibly introducing something new like minoxidil. I got the regain foam 5% but I'm afraid to start it just in case. The current situation is really good I can see lots of growth of hundreds of tiny hairs and I'm not even 3 months yet, also the red/pinkness in the recipient area is completely gone and as for the donor area that has healed so well, way beyond my expectation. I was able to shave down to a blade 2, 4 weeks after the op there no trace of any op in the donor. My hairdresser asked where did the new hair come from, she couldn't tell anything from the donor and she was standing right there with the razor shaving it down. Overall, I'm absolutely amazed with how this has turned out hence I'm nervous to start using the regain foam. My hair looks fine at the moment I could wait for growth naturally. Anybody have any similar experience or thoughts on the matter? Thanks...
  10. Looks great I'm also a Feriduni customer 1 month before you.. Good luck with it..
  11. Very interesting thread, I was in a very similar position only you need to add Devoyre to the mix make it even more difficult to choose. I meet with them all and felt none of them would do a bad job. I went with Feruidini , he did offer a more appealing hairline design and a slightly higher graft count. No regrets I'm only 2.5 months out but feeling very positive about the experience start to finish.
  12. Yea It was tricky to work it all out, There was planes and trains and taxis and bookings and - a lot of planning and coordination to travel around to meet them all...
  13. Ha sorry, I went with Dr.Feruidini reasons being I liked his design and hairline work the best, He was approx 200 more grafts than anyone else.. So ended up with 2400 FUE start of January. Spent the first week of the year in Hasselt Belgium. I brought my trusted companion as mentioned above and rented an apartment for the whole week. Loved every minute of it. Went shopping, bought grocery's , did some cooking , went out for dinners, sight seeing. Really was a great week and of course spent a day with doctor Feruidini which was for me an unforgeable experience. I rate him a 10 in every step of the process. Could not have asked for more. I was going to wait to write a full post for him but it seems to be coming out here in bits and pieces instead I know now why he has the reputation he has and why he has a waiting list for months. Overall I'm very happy with my decisions and progress, at this stage there is no progress but I'm confident for the future and how things have went thus far
  14. Each had a slightly different approach. and a slightly different design in mind for me but overall very similar. There observations and donor density calculations were also very similar. Which is what I wanted to hear to be honest. I wanted to hear the same thing from more than one Doctor before I committed.
  15. I went to Belgium 3 times, I meet with Dr Bisanga , Dr Feruidini and Dr Devroye. Observations and recommendations for others No 1 - I'm very happy that I got on the plane a couple of times and went to meet these guys in person. They were all fantastic to meet and to talk to. Highly recommended. No 2 - I brought someone with me for my second trip, This made a world of difference! Having someone to sit in on the appointment and talk out the process in a local caf? afterwards made a big difference... If possible I would highly recommend a trusted companion.. No 3 - Belgium is a really nice place, great architecture , beers and food... Make it an enjoyable experience, stay a couple of days. No 4 - Enjoy the process start to finish, don't stress, just relax and take everything one step at a time..
  16. Hi Bertie, I found your story very interesting and real. I would love to know how you got on...
  17. Thanks for the advice all - sorry I didn't get back to this tread before now. So I'll be traveling to Belgium at the end of Jan to meet both doctors.. nervous but excited..
  18. Hi there - would love to hear how you are getting on, I'm also interested in 2000 FUE from Rahal. any help much appreciated - thanks

  19. Hi all, I'm getting very close to choosing a surgeon. I have spent a good amount of time on here reading over the years. Some things are unclear to me so maybe someone can help I would like to get a FUE transplant for approx 1500-1800 in the frontal and temple areas. I was looking at some of the top guys on here, some from the US and others from the EU (I'm based in EU but don't mind travelling to get the best procedure for me) So based on my requirement of FUE - 1500-1800 and the area I want to cover is there a particular Dr that specialists in this area in particular? Thanks a lot...
  20. That is a really great result.. I think I will go with Rahal when I finally decide to bit the bullet.
  21. the actual grafts can have various numbers of hairs in each is that correct?
  22. I believe its still too early to call but is there any reason or clue as to way the results are not as good as they could be...
