  1. Would love to hear Dr. Rahal's take on this
  2. Wow it's been four years already..!! Time flew by didn't it .. me getting married and traveling a fair bit, so yeah I guess it did. With me all domesticated, time to take care of the pending stuff - an upadte: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/160613-1-session-marked-improvement-dht-clinic-operated-dr-pathomvanich.html I have been to Bangkok for work quite a few times after my surgery and on one of those trips Dr. Pathomvanich and I met for an analysis. He was pleased as a punch seeing my result. In fact this was the most animated, and dare I say, literally grinning version of the good Doctor that I recall witnessing on my any of consultation or surgery 'Wazzups' !! Normally he is pretty stoic, isn't he? Anyways cutting a long re-introduction short, guys I am totally satisfied with my result, It has been four years and I couldn't have chosen a better Doctor, or a better time for a HT. Would post the present day pic soon, meanwhile I have got a question to ask: "Is FUT still a better bet for a first time patient than FUE, or have the realities changed in the four years that I was in hibernation?" My 27 years old, kid brother is seemingly a Norwood 5A and it's time we shake things up a bit.Would be great to hear from you folks, hope the veterans are still rockin' ! Cheers !!
  3. waveskier: Thanks mate ! So thats makes the two of us who wdnt have to worry abt a scar I wish you quick healing and a great result. Do keep us updated ! Megatron: I agree the snaps cd have been better but the lighting condition that day weren't optimal. I wd take care that the new snaps that I wd upload of my 6 month time frame are more through ! wb280: Been good bro.. was on a secret mission for the Government Looking forward to your snaps. The two month stage is the time at which the fun starts. Kinda tough not to look in the mirror and fret/get ecstatic depending on the side of bed one got up from isnt it?
  4. Guys something seems to be wrong with my blog. Its not showing the new pics that i uploaded anymore. Have informed Bill reg the same. Thanks your patience !
  5. Folks I am running a bit behind schedule as ideally i should be posting the 6 month update now but better late than never I had the opportunity to go to Bangkok around June end for work and I hopped over to Dr Path's clinic to show him my result. The doctor was quite enthusiastic and satisfied with my progress at the Four and a half month mark. The scar had healed so well that he himself had trouble locating it. When I try and feel the scar with my fingertips its an impossible task- the ridge that had formed post surgery has disappeared and there are absolutely no signs of me having had an HT. In fact when i had my hair cropped quite short even the hair stylist cdnt make out anything- not from the non existent scar nor from the transplanted hair ! My having gone in to a new guy helped because I was saved the task of explaining this sudden burst of hair where none existed earlier. In the next few days I wd post my progress at the 6 month mark and then we wd have a better idea about the progress of my HT. You can check out my Four and a half month progress at my Blog
  6. Well i wd be among the minority here but I chose not to hang on to the meds for every day the rest of my life. now i am aware that might and surely wd lose more hair but i cant tamper with my bod with something that just might change the way i perceive myself. I wd have to go in in for additional Hts but I am okai with that ! Cheers !
  7. Pathspatient, Just checked out your blog. i could see some hair sprouting from the transplanted area. Looking good mate. the redness should go soon. would be following your progress with interest as not only we share the same doctor but also more or less the same number of grafts transplanted in the same hairline region. and to top it all we had the HT done within a week of each other happy growing!
  8. Taking the Plunge, ten months down the line you would have one great mop of hair. looking forward to your progress. All the best. Cheers !

  10. TakingthePlunge, Shdnt your handle read taking the plunge again wish you a a perfect surgery and result. Megatron, Thanks mate. Our hair loss pattern seems identical so I am watching your progress with anticipation. Happy growing ! Fingers Crossed, Thanks! Your work seems quite neat but then what else would one expect from Dr Hasson !you mentioned that you are experiencing some shock loss around the three month stage. I might be mistaken but I thought 6 weeks would be the time by when all shock loss wd have already happened. Did you consult with the Dr regarding the shedding?
  11. Hi wb! Yes the period before the surgery can be quite nerve wrecking. I was fortunate that I didn't get much time to think before the actual procedure as I had been alloted a date six days from intimation due to the a cancellation of a surgery at Doc Path's clinic. Everything happened too fast and before I knew I was done with it The donor area is a little sore to touch but not to the extent of me feeling uncomfortable. Pimples on the hairline are a minor irritant though !
  12. Plunge, I wish you the best for the surgery. Are you going in for Dr Alexander for this surgery? I feel that you already have a pretty good coverage and with the new surgery it would be just about as perfect as it can get- Its going to be a showcase HT. Please keep us posted about the procedure.
  13. Hey Drew! I received 2500 grafts and if i remember correctly the charge was 85 bahts per graft. I loved Bangkok and have posted a detailed account of my Thailand 'vacation' in the album that i posted. I was on my feet and checking out the best of Bangkok within a day of my surgery. It's a beautiful place and the people are very friendly and helpful. In fact i just might plan my next vacation to Thailand sometime soon.
  14. Hey wb ! wish time flew faster !! It takes supreme effort to not take a look at the grafts every half an hour and will them to grow faster !! On the positive side I am glad I took the decision at the right time. The last two months have been more or less a breeze- just waiting now for the babies to sprout ! I wish you all the best for your surgery and believe you me its gonna be a life altering experience. Not much has changed in the way I look but i sure do feel confident knowing that in a coupla months I wd be looking like I wanted to. Cheers to your upcoming HT !
  15. Thanks plunge! Honestly speaking I am relieved that you find the hairline aggressive because lately I was wondering if I should have gone a little lower. The receding hairline had messed up the framing and I had to have the hairline at this level to get any real benefit from the surgery. Yes I am aware that I would need at least another surgery a few years down the line whenever the crown and mid scalp gets thinner. Doctor Path informed me that I have a very decent Donor area density- above 100 per sqcm. so that should be helpful in the future HT. Btw I checked out your site and let me tell you thats one impressive result. congrats - you must be feeling quite good with your procedure. One thing I wanted to ask you was- there is marked difference between your One year snaps and the ones taken at the 13 month in the Doctor's clinic. Did you gain some density in that one month or would that be an optical illusion? I presume you are a late grower but the end result seems terrific mate. Cheers !
