  1. Hi Forest, It's Jason. In a few months that scar will be extremely thin and you'll never know you had one. Looks like great work. I returned to see Dr. Rahal last month and even he couldn't believe how tiny my scar had become after one full year. I'm going back for a 2nd procedure either in late November or early January as my loss in my crown has increased. he felt another 2500 grafts should complete it.
  2. Just thought I'd wish your daughter and family the very best during this difficult time.
  3. Hey Forest - it's Jason. We spoke on the phone back in December. Hope it all went well for you.
  4. Thanks for the replies. Knowing I have more growth and thickening to come is reassuring. MattJ - yes I am on Fin. Over 2 1/2 years now. Adrian wrote me back this morning and mentioned that Dr. Rahal feels I should wait the full year before operating on my thinning sides. How many grafts would you guys feel I might need?
  5. Hello Everyone - I was a member of this forum earlier this year. I wasn't around much over this summer. I thought I'd share my 6 month progress from a procedure performed by Dr. Rahal - which was about 3900 grafts. I'm pleased at the results but do have a few concerns. I contacted Dr. Rahal's clinic last week but have not heard back - but that's probably due to an issue with my email system. I'll try again in the next few days. I know six months is still early. My hair feels rather thin. I'm not sure if this is common or just due to my hair texture. Growing up my hair was always fine - but I had a LOT of it. LoL. Dr. Rahal worked on the front and top of my head. As you can see I am thinning on my sides and still slightly in the crown. I assume I'll be going in for another session next year to help with my thinning sides. My question I have now - will the transplanted hair thicken up in the coming months? I'd really like some more density to my hair. And how many grafts would I need to repair my sides? Also - I notice I'm losing hair whenever I wash it or even comb it. Like I said, my hair is a lot thinner than what these photos make it seem. Not many hairs and not long ones like before my HT, but I see them in the sink. Is this normal? This isn't my transplanted hair falling out - is it?
  6. Matt Damon - No David Letterman - watch him right now. His scalp is showing right through his entire crown so NO. Clooney - No. Well, Possibly. Jude Law - No. Tom Hanks - No. Kevin Costner - Doubt it. But Possible. Slater - Doubtful. David Spade - Seriously?? Johnny Depp - No Way. Never needed one. Harrison Ford - I'd bet everything I owned - NO! I also believe there was some talk of Hayden Christenson having one.
  7. The first 5 -6 days are the hardest and awful for swelling. My eyes swelled shut on the 3rd day. It goes away by the 4th or 5th day. If not contact your doctor immediately.
  8. I thought I'd upload my 6 week and 2 day progress photos: Wondering How it looks to the members here?
  9. I had a procedure with him 1 month ago. he managed to get 3900 grafts out of a proposed 3500 graft diagnosis. I don't feel his hairlines are too low. If anything I wish it was lower, but that's just where I am right now. In 6 months I'm sure I'll be happy with what he did. I would most definitely recommend him.
  10. Hey everyone, I'm 3 weeks post op. Things seem to be coming along. Up until the other day I was using the spray bottle technique to wash my head but I realized the scabs were not coming off that way. My head looked like a chia pet. I've been slightly dripping water and shampoo on my recipient area and slightly messaging the scabs away. Many of them had hairs attached but I was told this was normal. Now the scabs are mostly gone. Sutures were removed a week ago and the scar is barely visible at this point. Doesn't seem to be any shock loss. Just started on Minox again per the clinics instructions. Not crazy about doing this but it was advised. Ooh. I'm now shedding tiny hairs in the recipient area. Lots of them. Is this because of the minox or is this normal?
