  1. pdgoldy,

Thanks for creating a blog entry! Dr. Friedman is a good man and a great doctor. Congratulations!

  2. Sorry, I don't have a picture to show you now. I was almost completely bald when I was younger. I'm 56 years old now. I had three sets of transplants. The first when I was about 25. HT were fairly new then. They covered most of my head but looked terrible... didn't look natural. About 20 years later had some more. Found out the surgeon put the hair in backwards, I was still unhappy. Finally Dr. Shelly Friedman in Arizona saved the day. I don't remember how many he did (over 2000) . He also removed the hair that was put in wrong by other HT surgeons before him. Now I'm happy. It's been 4 years since he did it. Just in the last 6 months all of the sudden I have thick head of hair and I still feel it growing. Yeah, I was told it would take 6 months to a year until I noticed the difference. Will sort of but it took 3 1/2 years to reach my expectation and more. So it you you're thinking of having hair transplants, that's the truth about my experience. I now have the amount of hair on top that I was shown in a brochure by the doctor before he did the procedure. I'm not embarrased about the way my hair looks anymore. I didn't have HT done in the back so I'm still bald back there but I don't care about that. Would I recommend HT to other potential patients? The answer is yes. I caution you to do your home work first and hire a very experienced HT expert who will get the job done right. Take a photo with you and show the doctor what you want your hair to look like when it's fully grown in. That's very important to do. In fact have him sign off on it.
