Thanks for the encouragement! I am pleased with the results! If I had more donor hair, of course, it could have been thicker. Given the fact that I'm a Norwood 7, I think Dr. Wong made good use of the 5200 grafts that he was able to harvest.

I thought it would be helpful to post another 14 month post-op pic showing my entire head including the crown along side my pre-op pic again. I'm a norwood 7 so I didn't have a lot of donor hair to work with. It was said that I would be lucky to get 3000 grafts. The day of surgery Dr. Wong said that I had good skin laxity and he could get around 5000 grafts. The total grafts were 5200. I was more concerned with my front and sides of my head. I knew I wouldn't have enough hair to cover the crown. Thanks again to Dr. Jerry Wong. Del Denver, Colorado

I did the scalp excercises for one hour per day three months before surgery.

Thanks. I'm a Norwood 7. At this time, I'm not planning on addressing the crown. Dr. Wong did such a great job grafting around the crown and making it look very natural and tapered. Most doctors and even the consultant for Dr. Wong when looking at my pictures said that I would be lucky if i got 3000 grafts. The day of my surgery, Dr. Wong said that my scalp had good elasticity and he'd be able to get around 5000 grafts. I did the scalp excercises faithfully because I knew that I a very little donor hair in the back and sides of my head.

I didn't receive any grafts on the crown. The grafts were done in one pass or in one day. Sorry, i just took this with my camera phone so it's not a clear as I would like. I could possibly email them to you if you want.

Most doctors that viewed my pre-op pics were not very encouraging regarding the number of grafts they thought were possible. I was classified as Norwood 7 (very little doner hair available). Most docs would be surprised to get 3000 grafts. After viewing my pictures Dr. Wong quoted me 3000 grafts. When I saw him on the day of surgery he said that he could get more grafts because of my skin laxity and my dense doner hair. The final count: 5,172 grafts!! See my pics in the photo gallery.
