  1. Dr. Barghouthi. For the record I am very happy with the experience throughout. The hairline works looks great and as I mentioned at the 5 month mark it was filling in real nice and was getting compliments from people. It's just very frustrating after going through the down time of a surgery not being able to see it fully materialize and judge it fairly. It's a killer.
  2. Seems like a good a good point to try. Thanks 🙏
  3. I did mention to the doctor but it wasnt really given much significance after mentioning it. I was hoping the doing the surgery would solve the problem. As far as i know the only medication for this is Propecia. It was perscribed to me by the doctor after surgery however I do not take it as I do not want to get into anything that affects hormones. Dude I just want to remind you... the area in question, I have already lost all the hairs. We are talking about transplanted hairs! I didnt think it is possible to lose transplanted hairs?!!!
  4. Yeah I seen a dermatologist. Told me it was eczema and gave me a ointment. Didn't really help. No meds at all.
  5. Hello everyone, I have been suffering with a unique scalp issue for quite some time (approx 2-3yrs now) and hoping maybe someone can advise.. I will start off by explaining that I have had 2 surgeries; 1 at age 24 and the second more recently being 9 months ago. I am 39 yrs old. I am naturally NW2 having good hair characteristics but very bad receeding hairline and both surgeries were around 2000 grafts each filling in the area around hairline. My problem is I have been suffering from a itchy scalp, concentrated on the front of my scalp only and is causing hair to fall off. The hairs grow back and the cycle keeps repeating. As I explained I noticed this problem around 3 yrs ago and started to feel like my hair was getting visibly worse (only around the front). At first I thought could be the natural hairs on my hairline however eventually became clear that even the transplanted area was getting thinner. After suffering with the problem for around 2 yrs I decided to have my 2nd transplant as the front started looking very patchy... It's been 10 months since my surgery, and the problem still presists. The hairline looks fine but right behind it is vey patchy. As I mentioned seems like the hairs are falling off due to a scalp issue and they grow back and repeat. I remember at 5months the surgery was starting to look good and then it went south quickly. And then again about 2 months ago I felt it started to get better and then again get worse. I also can tell when my itchy scalp flares up I notice alot of hairloss when I shower or brush. I have tried everything, from natural shampoos, to not shampooing, to showering with drinking water. I just want to known the cause. PS. It is not from the surgery because I was suffering from the problem before the surgery and it is the main cause that pushed me to get the second surgery. Also I sense it could be a gut related issue but I cant quite be sure and that thing that throws me off this theory is that the problem is mainly concentrated on the front of the scalp. Has anyone come across anything like this??? I have attched few pics Thanks
  6. Can you confirm how sure are you if he really did snjeider? Because in that case there are completely contradicting opinions. Most saying he's a fraud, meanwhile he has done of of the best jobs I've seen. I've always thought if I could know who performed snjeider transplant that would be my dream choice.
  7. I 100000% disagree. I've always been eager to know who did snjeider's TP. For me, it's the best I have seen. Would love to know what other's think. Also can this be confirmed?
  8. Just to be clear; the claim is that 80% of the extracted hairs from donor will end up growing back eventually post op >>> Not that they are extracting 80% of a follicle. Just clarifing the claim.
  9. Upon more research i am seeing a few clinics (a few in Turkey and 1 in Dubai) which are claiming to offer this type of fue stemcell transplant. What I can see the claims are the following; - Because only part of the follicle is extracted, this allows for approx. 80% regrowth in donor while achieving same growth rate in recipient as regular FUE. - Smaller punch is used (0.5-0.6mm). Therefore process is much faster, with less scarring, and no shock loss. Also less down time post op. Are the statements true. Meanwhile I have not been able to find documented cases of people undergone this surgery.
  10. Hi guys, I was talking with a friend of mine and he mentioned to me that he was booking to do a hair stemcell transplant with Dr. Gho in Netherlands. He sent me the email conversations between him and the clinic. I personally was not aware of stemcell transplants. Anyway from little research I did on the forums here, all the posts related to Dr. Gho i could find were old posts, and I can not find any posts on a stemcell transplant. Are there any recent updates on this type of surgery and/or Dr. Gho spacifically?
  11. Dear Fluffhead, I have a few comments for you and some questions; First off, definitely your results are great. From personal experience I would humbly suggest to you that you try not to nit pick (i know it's not easy) if you see a slight gap or some minor asymmetrical areas. Keep in mind that naturally hairlines are not perfectly symmetrical and people after age 20 do experience some hairloss. Try to enjoy your results as much as possible and move on. I think the last thing you should think about now is another touchup. You may need some work done down the road but definitely not now. Always remember that the objective of a HT is to improve on a problem and not to achieve perfection. If you strive for the latter you may end up with a bigger problem than you started with. I am curious to know the following; - In my case I feel like the characteristics of the transplanted hairs are a bit wirey/frizzy. Basically if you pay close attention the transplanted hairs dont have same characteristics as natural hairs on my hairline. From your pics I cant see any of that at all. However we know that pics are not the same as seeing a result first hand. Have you noticed something similar from your results? Can anyone comment on this experience? - I would like to know how noticeable or not would you say you result is. Based on how you feel, would you say it is noticeable to a barber? How about if you were swimming? Thanks
  12. Actually since making initial post I been researching...... Not looking good for Serkan Aygin. Maybe Turkey isnt the best choice. I can do Europe/Asia. North America is just too far for me. Im becoming interested in Eugenix. Gonna keep researching them. Could you guys advise me if I contact a clinic; what are the new type of technology methods that I should ask about to make sure they use? I really like results for Wesley Sneijder (Soccer player). Not sure if anyone seen it but I think its amazing. Upon simple google search I found that he had it done by Dr. Gho. However while Im researching him all the posts on Dr. Gho are from several years ago. Any feedback on Dr. Gho? Regarding flaking issue, I have visited a dermatologist and was told by him that it is eczema. He perscribed me a cream which I use. However it is like a chronic thing which flares up and dies back down every few weeks or so. I haven't been able to completely kick it. One thing I would mention is that I started using Castor oil to help with scalp recently and although Im not certain, I do feel like so far the castor oil has shown some hair thickening. Maybe its my delusions but there is a possibility that the castor oil is helping some hairs come back. Thanks
  13. Had my first and only HT approx. 12yrs ago at the age of 24 (FUE approx. 1600 grafts) with Dr. Feriduni in Belgium. Pre op my hair was good and full on top, except my badly receeding hairline. I was prob NW 3. The doctor filled in the area around my hairline. My results (until recently) were decent. Because of my hair characteristics being thick and dark I was able to keep my hair around down to my eyebrow length and style in a way where it worked. However there was definitely a problem with a lesser density in the grafted area. It would really show if my hair was wet or if it was windy. About 1 year ago I was on vacation and was having my hair styled every day. Upon returning I remember that last day I left the hair spray and didn’t wash my hair for 3 days. After that I noticed I had Huge pieces of dry skin which I thought was dandruff but my barber confirmed to me that it was more serious. Eventually I found out it was scalp eczema (which I never had before). Since then I been trying to treat it but it keeps coming and going. Since then I’ve noticed 2 things mainly regarding the grafted area; 1) Relating to the grafted hairs, even though the density was already not great feels like its worse. Could this be possible? 2) Relating to the natural hairs on the front of my hairline (basically the U that I had). Definitely lost a lot there. Although first reaction may be to assume that its natural hairloss over time I don’t think that’s the case because of the drasticness of loss and coinciding with the eczema and I know my hair is in good shape, I just have a receding hairline. I have read that natural hair around transplant area can be affected and lost. What makes most sense here. If the hairs are affected by the OP does this usually happen near the time of the OP or could it be 10 years down the road? Now I am planning to schedule 2nd OP in Turkey (due to cost) asap. I have been recommended Dr. Serkan Aygin. I have so many questions; - Do you guys know anything about this doctor? Or can you recommend someone for Hairline Fue? - Are there any new technology equipment that I need to confirm the doctor uses before making my decision? - Does anyone know anything about scalp eczema and how that may factor in for a surgery? - Is it possible that I have lost some of the grafted hairs? - The natural hairs on my hairline….. Could they be falling from the eczema? Pls help guys. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! I have uploaded 2 sets of pics; !st set are from approx. 3 yrs ago. 2nd set are current pics. I shaved my head now because i cant even have hair anymore. The change that has happened over this year has been drastic imo. Hopefully pics can show. Thanks in advance, CURRENT SITUATION:
  14. Hey guys, I am hoping to get some experienced feedback as I am looking to go in for my 2nd FUE procedure... HISTORY I have a full head of hair with thick and healthy hair. My problem is strictly a badly receeding hairline. I have previously had a FUE (approx. 900 grafts) almost 9 years ago, to fix the hairline. The procedure was not too bad, but i dont think the hairline looks natural and the density in the transplanted area is not enough. MY OBJECTIVE IS TO ACHIEVE A NATURAL LOOKING HAIRLINE, AS NOW I CAN NOT STYLE MY HAIR BACKWARDS BECAUSE IT DOES NOT LOOK NATURAL. I live in Europe and I am considering doing it in either Europe or going to USA (east coast, preferably new york area) QUESTIONS 1) There is a football player named wesley snjeider. I think his transplant looks amazing on the hairline. I have read up on him and seems trhat he has done something called HST. Can anyone advise where he has had his surgery done, and/or provide some feedback on HST weather it is a viable procedure or not? 2) From your experience on the site, what would be the best surgeon to achieve my desired goal within europe or eastern USA, as I dont want to make the wrong choice with the surgeon again? Thanks in advance,
  15. Here goes... First off, I would like to say i am glad to join your community. I have been reading your posts for several months now and have finally decided to become a member of the team. I think it's great how people on here give their personal time to help others discuss this difficult issue, and offer very important information. Also, while people may think this is somewhat shallow for a man to even consider cosmetic surgeory, I am 100% convinced that no one understands what its like to go through this at a young age, and anyone under he circumstances would look into this option. I have friends, who are so lucky to have great hair and have had long discussions with them about how they feel scared and are worried about their losing their hair.... and so on. I'm sure all of you know what I mean here and have experienced this. Now to me!... I will try not to make this long. I am a NWII. I have a lot of hair, barbers always tell me. However my hairline represents a U (or a W) however you want to look at it. Maybe kind of like steve nash (2006), or jude law. Yes, I know that is not the worst case senario. However, I have always had long hair and for sure i look significantly better with long hair. And although I am willing to accept not having long hair, which i feel allows me to look my best, the problem is that, cutting it short REALLY does not suit me and makes me look old. So i usually have it around average length (ie. if i hold it down, from the front it would reach my eyebrows). It does kind of cover my hairline, but there is no way of styling it. People always comment: - man, what's up with the hair today. - someone needs a haircut. - dude, did you just wake up. It's honestly not that i'm ashamed of my hairline. It's that; SHORT, looks realy bad. MIDDLE; really messy and very unstylish. LONG; like steve NAsh (06). Sometimes i have like an important meeting, so I would wake up early and say, i'm going to give myself time to get ready so i can just look neat and presentable... Then, i would spend an hour trying to come up with a decent style, and end up giving up. kind of kills the mo jo! Finally, I am planning to visit Dr. Feller, just for a talk and advice. From what i've read on these forums, i should be a good candidate for HT, as my hairloss should not progress. However the main thing holding me back is i kind of live around alot of family and people that have known me since school. And i dont know how i would feel about everyone talking about me as the guy who got the transplant. And I know people like to talk here. So this is my plan. On the other hand, I will be making new business acquaintances and i feel like appearance does make difference both personally and on others. And after making you read all that, I just have a simple q; which side would you think i should lean towards? or any input. One other thing holding me back is the histogen trials. Seem optimistic could have something in couple of years. sorry, feel like i wrote too much about myself,
