  1. Where are u located? Don't go to NuHart. I went there before, and they don't provide the best service. Trust me.
  2. Fortune, thanks for posting that scar pic. If that's the widest part of your scar, you are blessed because that is one thin looking scar. Now if you could post the same in one year's time, that will tell the tale. I know a part of my scar is thin in one area, and it has stayed thin. It's been 3 years since that surgery. I think you'll be quite happy with the back and front of your head in a matter of months. Let it Grow.
  3. Also, it would be nice to see your donor area. Let it Grow.
  4. Go to Hairlosshelp.com in the HT forums, and you'll see a poster named Whoops who recently got his scars (that's right, more than one of them) grafted. He shaved/buzzed his head down in the donor area and his scars are now grafted. He posted enough pics to show you what he did. Just stay close and watch the updates from this procedure. Let it Grow.
  5. good move solid. hope they remember that next time before they consider harming another patient/customer. Let it Grow.
  6. Interesting balding persective. I can relate to some of it. Not all of it. But it was enjoyable. We should form the Dead Balding Society. Let it Grow.
  7. Dr. Charles, next time you see the patient(s) with grafted scars, please post pics of their donor area if you could. No face pics necessary at all, just donor. This is the missing link for strip patients. Let it Grow.
  8. Yes, most of the scabs that come off will have hairs in them. The root/cell of the hair is implanted and will not leave with the scabs. Hope that eases your mind. Let it Grow.
  9. What did Dr. Rose use to close your donor area? Do you happen to know what Shapiro uses? Thanks. Let it Grow.
  10. Hey Hairy, where did u go for your FUE procedure and how much did it cost? I've had strip before. I'm from Addison btw. Let it Grow.
  11. Yes it helps. Thanks for sharing your experience. Let it Grow.
  12. Ok, I hear that Konior improved your scar situation...that is good news. I have a problem in that area too and because of it, I haven't considered to go swimming..I know sad. How many grafts did you get prior to that revision AND how wide was that scar AND how wide is it now? What color hair do u have? How long did u keep your hair in the back prior to the revision AND now how short can u cut it back there without noticing a scar? Thanks in advance for your answers. Let it Grow.
  13. I've had a few consults with the Konior staff and I would go to them if Konior was doing HT's soley. But he does other cosmetic surgeries and what Tom told me was that Konior would get bored just doing transplants. So I get the feeling that yeah he may give good scars, and I've seen a patient of his. The scarS are thin, that's right, he gave this patients 2 scars; one for each procedure. That was another flag. But I don't think he tries to perfect transplant surgery and make it the best, I just think it's another part of this work..another area to meet the need of his customer/patient. So that's why I'm holding back from going to him. I just think there are more doctors/businessmen/practioners who focus on just HT's, that's what I want. Let it Grow.
  14. The pain is mostly near the ears where the 2 nerves are. I can tap in that gently and I feel this sharp/sensitive pain. The rest of my head just feels tight. Don't like that either. Like when I try to raise my eyebrows, I feel like my donor area is stretching/pulling, kinda weird feeling. Let it Grow.
  15. I'm a little over 2 years post op from my latest strip surgery. It still feels weird/tight/sensitive. Has it gone down some? Sure. Completely? No no no. Unless I do something about this, I feel like I'll be having this pain for a looooong time. Let it Grow.
  16. MM22, Now I can relate to what you said regarding not having a noticeable scar when going swimming or on a windy day. That's what I want!! I haven't gone swimming for years because of this hair transplant scar. Too noticeable for me. Also this donor area hurts to the touch. It's not that easy sleeping cuz when I lay my head back, I'm like why does my head feel so strange. I don't want to worry about the back of my head. It's like a prison. Let it Grow.
  17. Before my strip scar/surgery, sleeping wasn't as hard...it came quite naturally/easily to me. Yes I would be concerned about my hair falling off, but I would sleep eventually. Now when I try to sleep, the feeling of my painful donor scar/region prevents me from laying back without being bothered night after night. I rest my head on my pillow but have difficulty falling asleep because of my weird feeling head now. It is weird indeed. I also can't sleep because when I toss and turn my head at night, my scar may be exposed if someone were to come in unexpectedly. Isn't this a prison? To be free from my scar, from my weird pain/sensation would be all I want. The hair can go, but I want my head again. And to think I paid thousands for this pain/annoyance...unbelievable. Also I don't go swimming anymore because I know my scar is very visable when my hair is wet. How sad, how very sad. These are the reasons I want my head again. Let the hair go, but give me my head/sanity/freedom. Depression/irritation in this area has caused me to not be my happy/relaxed self. I feel more colder than pre-strip scarred. I want MY head again. Let it Grow.

  19. So Arfy, you don't think it's realistic to buzz cut your donor area and not see the scar? Ok, what if the scar is grafted, you sure that scar will be visible then even with a buzzzzzzed cut? Let it Grow.
  20. It seems there are doctors who have had work done themselves and are highly regarded among the HT community. There are also doctors who never received HT's but are still highly regarded. My question to those doctors who have never received HT work: Who would you go to for HT or repair work? Please be honest. This will help me in making my decision as to whom to go to for my final strip HT. Let it Grow.

  22. I would consider FUE if he said no. Let it Grow.
  23. Have u had a procedure before? What class/age are u? Let it Grow.
  24. I had a consult with him. In my opinion, he's a good surgeon, but might not be the best or a top notch hair transplant doctor. Why? Because like Paul said, he does more than HT's, he does noses, eyes, butts(i'm kidding), i don't know, but he's not just about Hair. I asked Tom why, and he said, oh because Konior would get bored if he did only hair. That to me was a red flag. That doesn't show he's into as I'm into it and trust me, the next person that touches my head will be into hair COMPLETELY. Also his fees are higher than the best clinics/practices out there. For a scar revision, u know how much Tom said they charged? $1800. That's right, just scar revision. And if you wanted to transplant grafts, of course they woud charge you additional. Dude, these doctors are businessmen first, don't fool yourself. That's why they're in this field, to make big dollars quick. We can all do hair tranplants if we wanted to without all this medical schooling/expenses. Sorry, let's get back to Konior now. I wouldn't go to him after my correspondence with him and his office manager Tom. I'd rather go to those who excusively give you the best for the lowest price. And I will, God willing. Let it Grow.
