  1. I had my surgery about 2 wks ago and I can empathize with the "rubber band" analogy. It hurts to tilt your head due to the tightness. I had my stiches removed yesterday and it feels 1000% better.....The sooner you can remove your staples or stiches, the better you will feel. Best of luck to you.
  2. I just had a HT with Dr Shapiro two weeks ago. I couldn't have been happier with his work and the professionalism of his staffs. Everything is going much better than I expected.
  3. It's been a little over two weeks since my surgery. Everything is going great. Had my stiches removed yesterday in the donor area but man, it is ITCHING like mad. Can someone recommend an oilment or med. to ease the itch? Thank you so much.
  4. I just had my 2nd HT last week and contemplated similar predicaments. I found my answers very quickly the first time I accidentally touched it or rolled over....It's called PAIN
  5. A Search Function is my friend.... . Found many useful and previously related topics. Thanks everyone. I love this forum.
  6. I was on Rogaine for about six months (from Dec 08- June 08) and experienced even more shedding of hair so I discontinued. Is it unusual? Also, I just recently had a my 2nd HT and was recommended by many to get back on Rogained and use it in combination Propecia so now I am back on it. My question is should I apply Rogaine all across the crown and the whole front? The brochure stated it is mostly effective on the crown top and not toward the front (where the majority of my grafts were placed). Any thoughts or share experiences are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  8. I, too had my first HT about 5 yrs ago w/ Dr Buchwach of Kansas City. The procedure was only for 600 grafts but he left about an inch scar to the left side of my backside.....I wish to have done a more through due dilligence about my surgeon selection. I just recently had my 2nd HT w/ Dr Shapiro. He was kind enough to offer to fix it for free at a later date.....but to make the long story short, it has truly limited my donor capacities greatly.
  9. Greyfox, Congratulation to your success. Yesterday, I had my 2nd HT with Dr Shapiro. I couldn't have been happier w/ the result so far. He is absolutely over-the-top. I wish I had gone to him for my 1st HT about 5 yrs ago. The previous Surgeon, Dr Buchwach did such a poor job and left a huge inch scar back there which really hinder my donor capacities.
  10. Just got back to the hotel from Dr Ron Shapiro's office. Procedure started at 9am and ended at around 3:40pm. I had undivided attention from Dr Shapiro and over 12 of his staffs ALL DAY. Absolutely a delightful experience. Dr Shapiro is undoubtedly a finest custodian of his reputation. His attention to details and his compassion is of unparalled comparison to anyone.....Will write more as I am about to pass out.....
