  1. saw the dermatologist who prescribed the propecia - he (also a propecia taker) said that propecia will not cause an increase of hair loss, neither will Rogaine. Is there credible information that he is not correct? ALSO - he said I should not stop either product. Really perplexed.
  2. Dont know if you remember me...wrote awhile back asking for suggestions on hair transplants or hair loss help. I am 20, started temple are hair loss at 18, subsided for awhile with KEVIZ but then about 6 months ago it started falling out more in the front of my head....receding hairline they call it. At this forum it was suggested before I looked into transplants that I take propecia and try rogaine. I have been taking propecia now for about a month and also using rogaine. No other products. Hair loss was about the same rate until a week or so ago when it started falling out all over...top, back, sides. LOTS COMING OUT...more than I can handle. It is affecting my confidence and performance at school. I do not know what to do. First the fall out was limited to the front, now it seems to be coming out massively from everywhere. Scalp is visible no matter what angle you look at me. I am only applying rogaine to the areas where it has been falling out previously. Should I apply it all over the top of my head as well. My question is, is this normal, or am I doomed to lose all of my hair? If normal, will it come back in? I thought the propecia only helped you keep what you had...or does it cause it to fall out and then come back? HELP - need answers, need to know if there is hope or if I am doomed here. sorry for duplicate post...think I may have posted in the wrong place for help before.

  6. Can someone recommend a reliable place online to get the propecia? Are there different strengths? Why would I not want to do the propecia and the minoxidol at the same time? Thanks again for input -
  7. Thanks - agree haste is not the best solution. Does anyone know anything about Dutasteride?? Supposed to be better than propecia? What about growth stimulants - understand rogain is not for people with sensitive skin...any recommendations there? Appreciate all your suggestions and help.

  9. Appreciate the replys - keep them coming. Realize need for propecia - held off because I was told it would not help frontal hair areas -
  10. I need to find a great doctor in So. CA, someone who works with young people, not aggressive, but wants the best for his/her patients. I am 20 years old, with hair loss going on 2 years, and picking up rapidly. Family history: father a N7 as was maternal grandfather. I know this is my destiny and I want to stop it if I can. Thanks - do not want to go to someone that is not good or experienced. Self placed PR concerns me, anyone can say what they want about themselves.

  12. I am 20 years old and have had hair loss for 2 years. It was held at bay for awhile with Kevitz, and completely stopped until last summer, and now has picked up considerably. Probably between a 1 and 2. I have extremely low self esteem - but also do not want the embarrassment of fellow college students to know I have had transplants. Can they be placed around existing hairline to thicken the area? What about donor areas for later in life should it be needed? Can someone recommend a GREAT - not GOOD doctor in the Orange County CA area? If I have HT now, how long will it take to fill in the lost hairline. I don't need much now, but will soon I am afraid. Thanks
