  1. What this guy says is blurry is insane- you clearly see there's hair where there was none there before. No one with half a brain wouldn't say you can't clearly see my hair in the photo. The before photo clearly shows the empty spots with at most a few thin strands of hair. Again as I said, it's like a person has a picture in their shorts that's showing them missing a leg. No matter how bad the picture is you're still going to see the leg missing.
  2. First off, I'm not trying to promote any product other then say what works for me, you don't get that. I'm not making any money on any hair products and I'm not selling anything on my site other then listing google ads & product ads which are for things like Direct TV not hair. From the use of your word "tosser" you're probably from England- figures the most negative skeptical people in the world in my opinion who still haven't realised that smoking causes cancer and have terrible teeth. I learned a long time ago it is pointless to argue with an i____t, so I'll stop here. I wouldn't be arguing or sound mean spirited if you criticized something I said that you disagreed with but your absolutely ridiculous comment on the photos. Moderator: I will say no more in regards to this person as obviously you do not think I should give him straight talk that is not kind and supportive. I understand that. The Amazing Laser Brush is the name of this Laser Brush that this guy sells on Ebay. I got mine for about $129 or so. I have the one with "eight". Unlike this other dude, I'm always open to trying things if I can afford them & if the worst thing is, it just doesn't work & and doesn't cause any damage. You don't play, you don't win. Anyway, I was skeptical on this brush, especially the name, but I figured at worst I was out $129, big deal. I used it for 3 months & had no results at all & put it away. For some reason I don't remember, about 2 months or so later, I decided to try it again. This time I began to notice, I was losing much less hair then I normally did, specifically after shampooing and drying & combing my hair, as there were always alot of strands of hair on my sink. It did take about 4 weeks till this happened after using it again. Why it didn't happen the first time, I don't know. So for whatever reason it seems to prevent hair that came off before from coming off. I'll try to put my website on the blog portion so you can read the specifics. I would wait at least 30 minutes before putting on Rogaine after this- no scientific reason. Hope that helps.
  3. Dude, you're going to be stuck with your problem scalp the rest of your life cause of your attitude. Instead of asking questions of my routine you devote yourself to wasting time on things with no pertinence to your problem. I'm not making a dime on any of the products I mention as I have no financial stake in any of them. The bottom line is your the one with hair problems and instead of trying to do something about them, you criticize things that don't have one iota to do with anything. If you took disagreement to anything that I said, cool, no problem, I'm not an expert, but all you can manage is to criticize photos that show obvious results. Well, the bottom line is, while I wish I had the hair I had 15 years ago, at least I've been able to fix my problem to the extent I have passable hair, can you say the same? Keep "bitching" about my photos, that'll really help your problem.
  4. Bill: I totally acknowledge what works for me might not work for anyone else and I could be crediting some things for have a positive effect like Nioxin, that might not, but I'm not about to go cold turkey on it to find it! Everything I've done to this point has been by trial and error over several years. I have no scientifuc basis for saying Rogaine is better then Generic Mioxine but I follow the theory if its not broke, don't fix it & Extra Strength Rogaine works for me along with other stuff. If I ever have time, maybe I'll get some more after shots, truthfully my hair isn't even combed decently in those pictures & I just used it to illustrate a basic point as if I saw them, I would definitely realize that obviously that something is quite effective, like night and day not subtle. Me personally, for stuff like this, I tend to be totally sceptical of professionally posed shots. The beauty is, I was quite happy with Hair Club for Men, but because my income went down after I took an early retirement, I had to resort to normal methods by trial and error. By the way, am I allowed to list my website as a signature when I end each post?
  5. Behappy: Can you privately email me here? Actually let me try this & maybe the moderator will be placated. The first part of my url is: FixTHinning & the second part after thinning is Hair dot com. I'll probably put this in a blog here like the moderator says. I was totally skeptical about the Amazing Laser (I have the 8 version), in fact I didn't see results for a while, gave up on it totally, and then when I resumed using it about 4 months later for what reason I don't recall, I got great results. Specifically, about 80% less hair strands came off me, each time I showered and shampooed. I just use it once a day before I go to sleep for 2 minutes, combing my hair naturally & put Rogaine on anytime after. I'm probably totally wrong here, but I sometimes have not gotten full results from Generic Versions of things so sometimes I don't take a chance. I'd try extra strength Rogaine if you got a bad result from the Minoxidale generic stuff, on the off chance that you could handle it better. I also towel dry my hair after I shampoo & don't use a hair dryer. I put all that stuff on my web site & I got the impression some people here think I'm trying to huckster stuff which is ridiculous. Alot of what I found works for me was by trial and error, like Nioxin shampoo. One thing too that people might underestimate is stress. I take Lexapro for anxiety and that might also be a factor in growing and keeping hair. What works for some people might not work for others.
  6. My routine is honestly not that special & what I personally recommend if you're not getting the results is try the guy's Amazing Laser Brush that he sells on Ebay for around $129 which was one of the things I listed on my site- I don't remember if he has a moneyback guarantee, try Nioxin shampoo, try extra strength Rogaine nonfoam & out of curiosity don't use generic minoxidal. If after a few months you are getting some growth, get your hair colored as well. If none of that works, before I retired and had more income, I used Hair Club for Men for 10 years and their pieces looked great, were easy to manage and no one could tell it was a piece unless they tried to run their finger through it. The downside is, it'll probably cost about $500 a month to get 6 hairpieces a year including their haircuts and maintence, or maybe more. But they looked great. Good luck
  7. I'll probably continue on this site though I totally disagree what you're saying in regards to my photographs. If the guy questioned the effectiveness of what I use, I'd have no problem with that. What I don't understand is anyone can clearly see my hair in those photos and you think I'd use trick photography to have lousy photos shot of myself? My analogy is someone with a bathing suit on showing that they are missing a leg and someone saying the picture is blurry. So what if the obvious is right in front of you. Anyway, I'm not the one with the hair problems now, this person is, not that my hair is the way it was 15 years ago either. PS In regards to hair restoration photos, I'd be more leery of the ones that look professionally shot, etc., then the ones that are taken by everyday people using cheap cameras. To each their own.
  8. I'm not saying the photo wasn't wonderful but who cares as anyone can tell that the before shows little hair and the after shows a lot more hair. I wasn't insulting the guy I was being honest. I thought the point of this forum is to help people with hair problems. My hair routine, whether you agree with it or not, clearly shows it is effective for me and anyone can clearly tell that in the pictures. Instead the only important thing this guy could say is the picture is blurry? Well what difference does that make or should that make to him if he wants to grow back hair? You can clearly tell that I've grown back hair in the "blurry" photos. If you don't comprehend that, fine I will probably discontinue being on this site. Yes, I'm sure every good deed must be punished.
  9. Well if you can't tell what's hair and where there isn't hair, you aren't playing with a full deck! The point is to show before and after pictures of hair growth. If they were professionally shot then you would say they were phoney and staged. No wonder you have hair problems!
  10. Hi, I'm new here but I've had tremendous results using Propecia, Extra Strength Rogaine & some other products. I put my routine of what I use and real before and after shots of my hair- believe me they are such lousy amateur photos they are real, on a website I just started (promotional link removed) I don't have a financial stake in any of these hair products. You might find this very useful. What works for me though might not work for you. I'll be happy to answer any questions here on my routine which I discovered through trial and error. Phil (promotional link removed)
  11. It took me several years, but somehow by trial and error, I managed to regrow my thinning, balding, natural hair (all mine, no extensions or hairpiece)through a combination of Propecia, Rogaine, a laser brush,Nioxin shampoo & hair coloring which I'm convinced thickens you hair. I have pictures of myself, before and after, on my website, (promotional link removed). These pictures and my site are genuine- if they weren't I wouldn't have used cheap Polaroid & Cell Phone pictures of myself. The site is 100% genuine & free & I have no financial interest in anything, other then it is supported by Google Adsense Adds & Non-Hair related Hair product advertising. Feel free to check out my site as it might be helpful to you and remember, "A Picture is worth a thousand words".
