  1. Clipper I honestly don't want to put you down but you have a poor poor result. You should be extremely angry and really escalate the matter till you achieve a refund or receive a corrective surgery. This clinic should be re-evaluated thats it. If we keep giving Transmed excuses for their faulty operations this massacre will continue. If only Dr. Kulachi is recommended then she at least should be able to train her doctors to operate too. Since in my opinion the director of a clinic also represents that whole clinic and its team. All the cheerleaders of that clinic disappeared expect for Humpty dumpty ( maybe I misspelled his name ) and in my opinion he did not even need a HT. All the other cheerleaders of transmed, Where are you show us your results. A competent clinic is a clinic that can successfully address a NW 4-5 patient, not claim professionalism on NW 2 patients
  2. Thanks Dr Charles, from reading and looking at posts on this forum, I noticed that all patients suffered from Shedding of implanted grafts in the recipient area after the HT which start after 2-4 weeks, and then the grafts start to regrow after about 3 months. Is that not a correct conclusion. My post was that it would be an amazing miracle if the implanted grafts in the recipient area would continue to grow post operation immediatley
  3. I hope one and soon I will hear news that HT can be done without shedding. That would be an ultimate progress in the field of HT, as for me it is a limiting step to take the plunge So lets hope for that miracle
  4. It seems really Bill you have to have a serious talk with transmed about their FUE procedures, so many complains about it. Now we hear clippers story , and before him it was another horrible story from another patient that was literally disfigured. Common Bill what are you waiting for at least address your concern in the forum that Transmed can't do FUE correctly or that you don't recommend FUE done by transmed? Also I noticed that many who were cheer leading transmed who did the operation there, stopped posting their results, where did they go. They all were so enthusiastic about how their procedures were done there, but then stopped posting their results, why is that?
  5. Hey Guys I don't know if this has been discussed here or not. Anyone here heard of Stemcelex. I want to know ,more about it, and please don't start thinking that I am affiliated with that company or even know anything about it besides what is written on that site, so I am wondering if someone could help me out by giving feedback on oy maybe it could be worth trying here is the link http://stemcelex.com/About.htm
  6. Hey Guys Alothough I am a NW5 with few hairs here and there but with Toppik I can accomplish a look that works. I am considering using to use any med that will stop losing what is left on the following basis: 1- I don't want any shedding, since shedding will be terrible for me as I have only about some hairs to be able to have a certain hair style using toppik 2- my wife and I plan to have a child so that is even more important to me that it is a safe to that medicine. Best regards
  7. I was actually following this thread, especially after i decided to go FUE. I sent so many emails to Dr. Keser at the email on his site, but never received an answer to get his opinion regarding my situation. Also I suggest that his website looks a little lame maybe it should also be re-done too.
  8. it is really amazing seeing some surgeons here reaching above 5000 grafts in one operation. How on earth do they do that. And top that with the fact they leave minimal scarring. I think that those who do a first op should be granted 5000 grafts at least if they are high on NW scale thats if they want to do FUT. I am really impressed by those surgeons who are masters of megasessions FUT.
  9. My thought would be the following and this came after lots and lots of research consideration. 1- First if you are heading towards a NW6 then just go FUE, for 2 operations first 3000 second 1500 grafts to be planted. 2- You have to accept a thin looking appearance, than chasing after the denisty which will take many operations to achieve more than 3. You don't want to end up going under the knife more than twice in my opinion. 3- A thin result that is layed out uniformly over the scalp, ignoring the very back of the head could result in a good style if cut really short. Toppik will definately come in handy, and will not be difficult to apply since the hair will be there to hold it, so it will just add an illusion effect. Doctors here should plan out a working strategy for NW6 since those are among the most sufferers and the outcome could just be ridiculous and disappointing. NW6 patients need the artistry of the surgeon to be as creative as possible, I have seen so many results from NW6 where they just dense pack the 1/3 and it looks just bad even with dense packing, and then they start addressing the 2/3 of the scalp,in my opinion an overall thin coverage with a wider distribution should be followed. 4- Since you would accept a thin outcome, then logically you must go for FUE to be able to cut your hair short and you can cut your hair even shorter from the back and sides( above 4mm ). THats my opionion after looking all over the net not only this forum, NW6 is really different than any other patients. An exception to the points above would be the following: 1- If the surgeon has the expertise to do huge megassesion of more than 5000 grafts like we see some surgeons achieve that, and there is still reserve to do another operation of 2000 grafts then by all my means go FUT. THis of course means that you will be under the knife only 2 times, and benefit from more density than FUE. But this needs an agressive approach and not many surgeon did I see doing that.
  10. for me and I getting convinced as days go by that I don't want a scar in my head, unless there is at least 5000 grafts granted for a NW6 in the first operation. As you say in your pics you don't seem that you r a NW6 but maybe some experts can tell you if you will head to a NW6. If yes and within a year or 2 then you better wait and in that case apple the rule above if you want FUT. Or just go on from now with FUE, the scar is a big no for someone who is heading to a NW6 in my opinion since NW6 HT most don't give results as expected in no matter what way you do it. So try FUE if you don't like it buzz off
  11. I think it is a big big gamble for NW6 patients to do a transplant unless you consider the following: 1- That you must admit to yourself that no matter how tempted you are to do a HT you must know that the outcome from the first operation might just look really not up to your expectations, since a NW6 will definately need in my opinion at least 5000 grafts in his first operation. 2- You have the budget to do at least 2-3 operations, and starting with at least the first operation to be at least 5000 grafts. THis is to avoid the depression or unhappy feeling that could result from doing the first HT. I am sure that less than 5000 grafts will give bad results, and this will affect a NW6 hugely. Usually the area to cover for a NW6 patient is about 150 cm2, if you multiply it with an acceptable density this means 150*40=6000 grafts. So it is a must to grant at least 5000 grafts to focus on the 1/3 and 2/3 of the scalp which then will leave you with the crwon to work on later. I will never ever accept less than 5000 grafts FUT, since I will be doomed since I have to maintain my hair a little long to hide the scar. 3- You have to have the donor supply for at least 8000 grafts as a total for 2-3 operations. THis is really important. I really think this forum should really consider putting a real solid guideline for NW6 patients and let them understand what the implication are if a patinet goes for a transplant with less than 5000 grafts. This is no joke at all, who wants to look with a freaking hair style when a NW6 patients goes in for the first operation with only 2500 to 3000 grafts. It will be a misery for the patient, and him just look ridiculous. Also Doctors should treat NW6 cases with all care, and explain to them what a NW6 outcome would be if less than 5000 grafts are used. I feel so relieved now that i cancelled my HT with FUT. I will no matter what accept looking weird with a sparse hairline. I might however accept doing 3000 graft FUE and maintain my hair very very short, and know that I might need toppik to help me a little in covering some areas. With the knowledge that I will go in for another FUE for about 1500 grafts after a year, and also I will keep my hiar very very short and I might still need toppik to cover some areas. But AT least I know if the whole 4500 grafts just did a bad job then I will buzz off. Now I will never ever accept a clinic that has a bad reputation in FUE, like armani or whatever. THey have to proof to me that they use tools that prodcue minimal scarring, since the whole deal here to have the backup plan to buzz off. Finally Balboa, could you post some pictures, and what NW6 scale are you? Do your scar prevent you from buzzing to clip#1. And finally I am sorry I accused you so please accept also my apology
  12. Balboa, I am not an armani fan boy or whatever, this is really insulting. You can ask Bill who I am, I am real NW6 patient, that went through hell to decide what is best for me, and Bill knows how many times I consulted him. Maybe I don't agree with Bill's advices for some personal reasons, but I am in now way affiliated to any clinic at all. And Bill knows my story and how worried I was undergoing for a strip since I am a NW6, and many many people told me that NW6 need at least 5000 grafts to achieve good results. So please don't start accusing me being a promoter or whatever, I am really going under lots of stress. IT IS A FACT A NW6 will need at least 5000 grafts and still maybe more. IT is a fact that from one operation with 2500 to 3000 grafts for a NW6 are nothing but a disaster in my opinion. And I am so sure that having a decent outcome via FUE 4500 grafts under 2 operations for a NW6 will better since you can accept a short short hair style with no fear of a scar. So please Balboa apologize for your statement about me being fan boy of armani
  13. believe me I felt like you and was about to pull the plug for FUT. If you are NW6 you would really need at least 5000K grafts to do a great job, you have to know and accept the fact NW6 is not like a NW2,3.4 or 5. Once you start with HT FUT there is one of tow possibilities, you have to do more operations since you already paid the price by having a scar, or you are doomed. Look at how many grafts some NW6 patients get from the best coalition docs here, some receive bout 5000 grafts and above in one operation. And there is a chance that you still need another operation And I feel that this is what is required at least for a NW6. Since you already paid the price by having a scar for life, imagine how many operations from FUT you must do to achieve your final goal of density. You will need at least 2-3 operations, and do you have the budget for that and the patience for it. I am sure one thing you will experience is if you are a NW6 patient and your first HT is not up to your expectations, you will regret the whole thing, and will be doubtful that it will work for you, and that only you ended up up with a scar. If you are a NW6 and start the FUT HT you will not able to go back if the outcome you don't like from the first operation. Another thing is the stress from having a scar for life that you have to worry about all your life On the other Hand if you had FUE for in 2 operations 1st to be 3000 FUE's and then another after a year for 1500 FUE, you might meet your goals, and if not then you have the best backup to just buzz off short, and look as normal as possible. Believe me think about it many many times, a scar for life is something that can't be removed at all. BUT an unsatisfactory HT via FUE can be overcome by just buzzing and look normal, of course you need a decent and professional clinic to do it for you, if you really are speculating whether the HT result will achieve good results, and are a NW6 type patient definitely reconsider. As I told you I canceled my FUT with the clinic I booked for Nov-2 to reconsider it done by them via FUE in the future based on my fears of an unsatisfactory outcome due to the fact that I am a NW6. No way on earth will I do FUT and end up having a scar if the outcome of my HT will not up to my expectations which most likely. On the other hand I might take the chance with FUE in two operations for a total of about 4500 grafts and accept that the outcome might not be up to my expectations with the back up to buzz off. OFF course now way will I accept a clinic to do my FUE unless they show me proof how they extract the follicles and what punch sizes they use no way at all, and back up with photos.
  14. Hello Omar Greetings I am a NW6, I was about to do FUT surgery but then for me I thought that being a NW6 means that I might gamble with myself if I do strip. Since the outcome for NW6 might not please me at all. So as a backup plan I decided to go the FUE way, and if I did not like the outcome then hell with it, I will just buzz my hair short. Nothing in the world would compensate a man with a NW6 scale whose strip surgery might not as what one expects and in addition to top that with a scar.
  15. only one reply. I wish this could get more attention since it is a very important poll
  16. Hey guys just wondering about how NW 6 feel after doing a HT. Can you please answer the following 1- are u happy that you did a HT ( photos, stories would be great ) 2- who was your doctor 3- what is the best approach for a NW6 hair transplant ( wide coverage and thin or focus first on the top and the front 4- how many grafts did use for HT 5- how many procedures did u have 6- any regrets you wish to share and wished you just shaved bald or accepted your baldness as is 6- do u recommend FUT or FUE I hope this new thread will be a semi poll to NW6 guys, who are in a tough position when it comes to the decision to make a HT.
  17. hi guys my HT is getting closer, so could u please help in answering the following questions: 1- when can I apply gel to my hair after a HT 2- Once the hair grows can I blow dry it, since my hair is wavy and I am used to blow it little bit to straighten it. 3- can I use toppik after 1 week from the operation 4- I read that many users here take propecia, how many year has one to take it. I am 36 years old? 5- when is ok to have sex after the HT? thanks all
  18. Dear Bill Any updates to this case, we need to know, since I am really curious how woody's case is not processed. I have a HT with transmed in November so please answer our concerns in details. I want to hear from both sides Transmed and Woody how did they resolve this case
  19. Well I have my operation booked Nov-2, so I am starting to feel the anxiety already. Danny-m can I be in contact with about how your procedure went since we are having the same FUT with the same doctor. Danny-m what scale of baldness do you have. Bill can you please post specific questions we should ask during our personal consultation with the clinic.
  20. Hello Guys I know I am asking so many questions lately, maybe its because my HT is nearing. My question is will there be a point when the scar in the back is not visible at all when u buzz your hair to 2 guard? If I do a HT and I did not like the outcome does this mean I will never be able to shave all my head due to the scar visibility? 3- From my understanding is that the surgeons after the take the strip they close the scare, does this mean your scalp from the front will pulled back. Forgive me if I could not express the question in a better way? Thanks
  21. I was wondering if I could a feedback also from a doctor, and tell me what scale of NW am I? And would I achieve a decent result with the about 3000 grafts, with a focus on the hairline and the top, the crown is not a big concern to me.
