I have contacted the site owners to get some feedback on the Revita quality issues but I have not heard back so far.

I was not aware it had become watery thin but the pasty formula I have now would certainly not generate positive reviews. I will contact the site owners and ask if they can find out more.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I am considering trying another shampoo and was wondering if any of you have used Tricomin and how it compares.

I used Rvivogen before but did not like it as much as the older Revita formula.

Maybe we could spur our moderators to call the Revita toll free number and try to get some answers.

How do we motivate them to do that?

I have been using Revita shampoo for years and love it until now.

It started about 2 years ago, I noticed it was suddenly leaving my hair heavy and greasy. Then later I noticed the consistency of the shampoo had become very thick. It barely produced any lather and was very difficult to rinse off.

I kept buying the product and the last few bottles I got are kind of a joke now.

The product is so thick it's like toothpaste. I have to not pour, but actually squeeze it out of the bottle into another container and dilute it with water almost 3 (water) to 1 (shampoo) ratio in order to use it.

So I called their toll free number, left a voice mail. A lady called me a few days later, she became very defensive about the product. She said the formula is always improving and I should use more water on my hair. She would not hear that the only thing that works is transferring into another container for some serious dilution. I felt she was not hearing me so I let it go.

Am I the only one with this problem?

Since the forum store is buying large quantities for resale I am hoping the manufacturer will hear their voice and we can get to the bottom of it.

I did a quick web search on it, saw their video and a few other reviews. It looks like another scam, it does nothing. This forum site has very knowledgeable members who are on the leading edge of all treatments, surgeries, etc... The only things that work are: Finasteride (Propecia), Dutasteride (Avodart), several shampoos, Rogaine for the crown area, a good transplant, in office laser works for me although the opinions are split on this one. Personally I did several transplants, I take 1/4 generic Proscar daily, in office laser once weekly, Revita shampoo about every other day. I stick with the proven methods and products, the rest is a waste of money and time.

I was not aware they changed the formula. I bought several bottles for a bulk deal a few months ago and won't need to reorder for a while, I would call the manufacturer to find out.

I agree, it is a dynamic process, I used to think that I could be happy with just one if done perfectly but there is no such thing, lot's of factors come into play even with a great Dr such as: hair greed, getting older so your hair gets thinner, etc...

Thank you guys for your time, it sounds like the treatment is around $800.00 for now, I am looking forward to your updates in the next few months, I would just love to be Finasteride free, I think I can see the efficiency decreasing year after year.

Very happy with the products, what I also like is that they give you full disclosure of the drugs origin, name of the laboratory, country of manufacture, they clearly indicate brand name or generic, etc... No BS there. Their prices are competitive, note that I have not bought Finasteride from them because I cannot find a better deal than what I get from my local Costco pharmacy, about $22.00 with my insurance discount for 30 generic Proscar.

Overdose of Anesthetic Suspected

Apr. 27, 2007 (KABC) -- A Southern California man who wanted a hair transplant died during the procedure. Now his grief-stricken family is suing the cosmetic surgery firm.

Walter Riley, 52, went to Crown Cosmetic Surgery in Los Angeles a year ago for what he was told was a routine $4,000 hair transplant procedure. Though he drove there himself, he never drove home, having dies an hour into the transplant.

This week his family filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against Crown Cosmetic and several of the doctors who work there.

The suit says an overdose of the anesthetic lidocaine is to blame. According to the family's lawyers, the medical firm's own records show Riley received three times the normal amount of lidocaine.

The defense counters that Riley failed to disclose an allergy to the anesthetic before the procedure.

In an unrelated case, one of the accused doctors, John Lord, plead guilty to a felony count of practicing without a license.

How can people like this still be in business? How do we make sure the public knows about this?

I agree, stick with the recommended Dr's on this Forum and do a lot of research, it's the only way to be safe.

I get generic Proscar from my local Costco pharmacy, it's the cheapest I found and it works fine.

I'll answer what I know, ask your Dr when you can take vit E after the HT but I remember in my case that 3 weeks after was ok. The Hairmax laser comb was discussed here at length and the results are that it is simply a waste of money, it does not produce enough energy to help in any way. I still go in the office to do the laser sessions (the large helmet type) and I think they help me slightly, I realize many people do not believe in it but there is some evidence that it helps a little.

First time I hear about it. I find the pictures inconclusive and highly suspicious because they show a different combing of the hair so you cannot compare with the "before" picture. When I see this kind of practice I stay away, to me it only means that they cannot substantiate their claims.

None are recommended here, it's close enough to LA where you have great choices.

Dr Alexander is great but I would definitely consult, at least online with another recommended Dr and more specifically discuss your goals in terms of your anticipated level of results/fullness after only 2700 FU and the shaving issue.

I think you chose a proven MD recommended here so your results should be good, you're stabilized on Finasteride and you seem to know all the basics.

2700 FU is not that much for you and agree with Spex, IMO you'll be happier with at least 3500 FU so you won't want a second pass for a while but maybe there are other factors you and the Dr have discussed such as donor supply or cost, etc...

To address your concern about privacy I am in favor of keeping the HT as undetected as possible and I achieved just that every time, my sessions were smaller as well, in my case I left my hair as long as I practically could before the HT and I chose a surgeon who agreed to take the extra time and effort to work around my existing hair without shaving. I see this an old topic but I wanted to reply because I just started to take Beta Sitosterols for other reasons, mainly prostate reasons, I can say it has helped the BPE condition very effectively and in a matter of only a few days, I'll pay attention to see if I notice any hair benefits and report here after a few weeks.

Hairscout gave you good advice, I'll only add that I heard Kombucha reduces gray hairs but as usual there is no solid evidence of Kombucha many so called benefits.

Use the find feature, enter the key words and you'll find a lot of threads on laser.

IMHO the in office laser treatments offer some benefit to some patients but we are talking about the professional grade helmet type or the open type with the lasers mounted on 5 flat, moveable panels with the lasers built into the panels or the inside of the helmet. The Hairmax laser comb is probably too weak to produce any results on most people and it is grossly overpriced, the only worthwhile treatment is the in office laser session. The Hairmax Laser comb is FDA approved but this has no meaning as to it's effectiveness. Other brands and models are available, most are cheaper and none are effective at producing verifiable/genuine results. Good choice going to Hasson & Wong, how big is your megasession?
