  1. hey bud thanks much for getting back to me on this. This may be a stupid question as i didn't finish readin the site info yet, but do you know is a prescription needed for this medication of the 4rx.com site? In your research - is this site the most inexpesive way? Or is this site the best compromise between price and reliability? Thanks again
  2. I've recently considered getting on a Propecia treatement as recommended by my doctor. I'm looking for alternatives to a rather high priced Propecia medication plan that would be available locally (within US that is). Are there online sites that are both reliable and provide a good alternative for the purchase of this medication? Any thoughts/suggestions on this would be greatly appreicated. Thanks much

  4. You'll have to excuse my ignorance ... but who exactly is Pat? :-} sorry - i just don't know
  5. I'm looking for any thoughts as well ... anyone with any experience or anything they've heard about this doctor. Thanks
  6. I did a search on this forum for info on Dr. Haber and i couldn't really come up with too much information. I know there's plenty of patients out there that have an account with this forum - can we really not get any conclusive thoughts together about his practice? I'm wondering about the overall experience, the expertise, the results, the naturalness ... anything and everything. Any ideas or thoughts on this greatly appreciated. Thank you

  8. What do you mean sales sites, it seems to me that the same surgeons present on those sites are the ones being discussed on these forums. Not to mention that through this very forum if you click the "find a surgeon" link in the header you can get to the other 2 sites listed. Yes - i did read the info that Bill sent me. Very good stuff and i'm in touch with him on other things also. Thanks much
  9. i'm just curious can anyone shed some light on this ... these webites that i seem to browse around on http://www.hairlosshelp.com http://www.hair-restoration-info.com http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com Are these affiliated in any way - it seems like info from one would be present on others as well. Any idea as to how these came about and why there are 3 of them? Just wondering
  10. hey guys i've been doing a lot of chewing on the info that i've received so far and i've been talking with my fiancee about things. One quick question: Dr. Haber in Ohio seems to have this new technique that he introduced in 2005 "Donor Spreader" - making the Donor Harvesting Transection Free. You can read about it on his website http://www.regrowhair.com/hair-restoration-physicians/v...n-ohio-dr-bob-haber/ I guess i'm wondering if this is a technique that more than just his practice uses, and also some details as to what this technique involves. I seem to find some information on this on the website and some here and there in the interviews, but not enough to make me completely understand what it's about. I understand it deals with scar reduction and the minimizing of the damage done to adjacent hair folicles when the donor strip is removed. Is that a good summary of the technique or are there other details that i should be aware of. I gotta tell you - i'm kind of excited about the prospect of having my hairline back. Thanks much guys!
  11. Thanks much Jotronic! Good stuff - i've had several questions before about short hand items that had to be cleared by another post :-} and i'm sure i would have continued to have some since i'm very new around here :-} Thanks again - good info
  12. hey Bill I just want to say so everyone can see this: You're a good man! I've read many of your posts (the ones you sent me and others). Plenty of things to consider and plenty of information. I'll put something else on here the second it comes to me. Thanks again everyone!
  13. OK - i'm still very pleasantly surprised with the amount of info offered so diligently by everyone. Thanks again everyone - you're indeed wonderful people. "Reverse the Curse" - thank you so much for the list of items that seemed to be rather extensive and even exhaustive of everything that should be looked into when considering this procedure. Good stuff. I do have couple questions though :-) (shocker :-) 1. In terms of the actual procedure, it sounds like most of the respectable practices follow 1 "simple" scenario: a strip is removed fromt he donor area - divided by follicular units that are later on planted into the apropriate places. Is there a different type of procedure (or even variations of this one) that i should be aware of? (i'm only refering to the ones that are worth looking into). 2.From other posts - I understand it's good to shave the donor area? Should the whole thing be trimmed pretty short then? Any experiece with this? 3. Generally how long after the surgery would i be able to go back to work and in society without feeling like the procedure is visible?Maybe this is never possible until it starts growing?! I usually don't wear hats ... ever and i could pull off wearing a hat for couple weeks under the pretext of a bad haircut ... but after several weeks, could i cover the signs of the procedure with the rest of the hair enough to not be obvious? Any thoughts? 4. Maybe everyone can put in their thoughts on this: what's the most successful way of responding to comments after the surgery? Denial, evasive comments or flat out confession? It really feels like i've joined a warm universe where people talk to each other with no constraints about hair loss topics. Thank you again for making me feel so welcome in your midst.
  14. WOW - you guys are indeed awesome! I just wanted to shoot a quick note to everyone that participated and continues to share thoughts in this post. I'm still going through what's been said so far (over and over - some i haven't even gotten to) to make sure i'm not missing anything. Tons of good info and very very kind folks. I'm still digesting the info, but i'll shoot another note at the end when I'll feel like i understood everything. Keep them coming though. THANK YOU AGAIN EVERYONE! YOU'RE AN AWESOME COMMUNITY! (I usually never use all caps and i get mad at people that do, but i really mean that so i wanted to enphasize that)
  15. hey bud - thanks for the quick replies and all the info. Me ask you something then - when would be an appropriate moment to decide to go ahead with the transplant? When i feel like the reasearch i've done ... is enough? That may never be the case. I got my wedding in about 1 year from now, and i want it to be over with by then - so that i can stand up tall in any pictures they take of me. Feel me? This Shapiro fella sounds like is doing a good job. I guess i'm wondering what the criteria is for me to start judging as to whether the research is enough and a conclusion is due. Thanks for your thoughts bud. p.s. The "reverse the curse's" website is pretty informative. Did you decide it would be better for everyone to know that you had a procedure done, as oppose to just not say anything (or try to hide it a bit)?
