  1. Haha, that could be true too! I've heard lots of anecdotal evidence from multiple docs that ACell can really help with the healing. You are the proof.
  2. Hal, exciting stuff man! 3.5 months post-op is just the beginning. With my last transplant I had a huge difference between months 3 and 5. Have fun!
  3. Holy cow that's amazingly fast healing for the scar. Gotta love the ACell.
  4. I could be wrong but I believe these are DFU's (Double Follicular Units). They are quite common and I know SMG uses them quite a bit. Generally, the purpose of them is to spike up the density in the middle region. But maybe Dr. Keller is using a different method, I'm not sure. He'd have to answer that one.
  5. Tubs, you look awesome dude! Congrats! Great looking density.
  6. Hey naveed. Got pics? Otherwise everyone is going to think you are a spammer.
  7. tomhairloss, Yes, sorry to say it but you got a bad transplant done. Even if you got full yield (which you didn't, not even close) it was a poorly planned procedure. Discuss this with the doc but look elsewhere for another round. And only look for the finest clinics in the world because you really can't afford to have another bad procedure.
  8. Haha, good call there! Stamos, would love to see some pics man. I would have to say that my hair wouldn't look great unless I styled it a bit in the morning - the same could be said for when I was in high school. In fact, I now spend about 5-10 minutes every morning applying a little concealer here and a little aveda grooming clay there (of course that is before my hair was shaved for my last procedure). And making the best out of transplanted hair certainly requires good/strategic styling. But like Ahairdown says, it's not a bad problem to have!
  9. Right one Janna. And in this modern age of cosmetic medicine there are far more options than ever before. My philosophy is if you can look better than why not. Of course, it could be a slippery slope for those prone to be addicted to plastic surgery. And ziggy I think your analysis of Larry David's comedic approach to baldness is spot on. His obsession of it makes it a bigger deal than it actually is to anybody else. Aren't we all a bit guilty of that?
  10. I didn't post that to discredit ahairdown's thread. I just wanted to show that if the patient can be boneheaded enough to post post-op pics showing his whole face uncovered that it is entirely possible for doctors to make the same mistake occasionally. It doesn't necessarily take malicious intent that's for sure.
  11. Glad to hear ACell worked well on your donor scar. Looking forward to following your progress. Cooley does great work and I think you'll be pleased with your outcome!
  12. Thanks jessie1! Really appreciate it. I totally recommend SMG even if you have to travel. If I were you I would look into bullinut's story. He came over from the UK a couple of times to SMG for a repair and doesn't seem to regret it a bit! . That said, Bisanga would be great too. I'm glad my situation can give you hope going forward and wish nothing but the best for you. If you have any questions feel free to pm me.
  13. Good to hear The Cure. Can't wait to see your pics!
  14. Yeah, Farjo is great. Consult with him most definitely.
  15. Good! Then don't psyche yourself into having them!
  16. Do you have any pre-op pics? Looks like refined work.
  17. I once accidentally posted post-op pictures with my face completely unblocked. What did I do? I called a lawyer and sued my own ass.
  18. Hairgoesnothing, Congrats! You are a quick healer. I'm very impressed with your scar at day 18! You should be looking forward to an impressive result for sure. Keep us all posted.
  19. Hey there FutureHTguy. Stick around the forums for a few months and study the blogs of patients, look at the results posted by clinics, and pick about 5 of your favorite surgeons and consult with them all. 25 is a bit young for a HT. Are you on meds?
  20. Thanks for the clarification Bill. The decision makes sense now that you mentioned that this was discussed before with corv. I do hope to see him back eventually.
