Seems like everything I post you guys find something negative with it. Tell you what, you go to your doctor and I'll go to the one I want to. My mistake for ever posting. I won't make that mistake again. I believe the Limmer clinic is an excellent one and I'm sure they think about their patients first and not dinner. I'm outta here.

Don't know what size strip Dr. Limmer will be extracting but the time frame of survival rate for the grafts and the plant time does make sense to me, maybe that is what makes him a good doctor. John

Did a little research and believe I found out why Dr. Limmer will do a 2 day session for 3000 grafts instead of one sitting. Found where Beatlehair had a procedure done in November 2003 by Dr. Limmer and he mentions how Christina patiently planted the grafts for two days. Beatlehair goes on to say that Dr. Limmer wins hand down over another clinic he had visited before, good enough for me. Also found where Dr. Limmer talks about how the grafts the survival rate stays good for 8 hours by placing them in chilled saline so that explains why he only does up to 1500 grafts since that will take those 8 hours to plant. Regardless, I'm looking forward to next week's surgery and will let you all know how it turns out when I get back home. I live about 3 1/2-4 hours from San Antonio driving down Interstate 10. Have any of you guys had a two day session procedure? I am schduled to have sessions on July 2md and 3rd and don't know what to really expect. I'm looking forward to the procedures and want to get them behind me even if I have to put up with some discomfort and pain. Thanks, John

Don't really know, I just know it's a 2 day session. I believe they do 1000-1500 grafts in one session and takes 6-8 hours. I thought about that myself and don't know how I will feel the day after the 1st session going in for a 2nd one. Maybe it's because doing 3000 in one session will tramatize the area more? Guess I will find out. Thanks, John

Jotronic, Thanks for your reply. I am about a NW 3, am 59 years old and am presently on .05mg propecia. Dr. Limmer said I have very good and plentiful donor hair so that shouldn't be a problem. I just wanted your imput if I should split the 3000 grafts evenly between the frontal and crown. I'll post more pics when I get the chance to get my wife to take the pics. No, I've never had a HT before. Thanks, John

Hello everyone, I have been a lurker for a long time and have gathered alot of info from you guys. I finally decided to get a HT and just thought I'd ask for some advice from some of you experts. My original surgery date was in September but was contacted by the Dr's office that I could go ahead with my HT in July and I accepted. Dr. Brad Limmer in San Antonio will be doing my HT and I have heard nothing but good things about him and his staff so I am excited and can hardly wait. My wife asks me if I'm scared and I tell her that I would gladly give a year of my life to have my hair back so what is there to be scared of, I'm sure some of you guys can relate to how I feel...she just laughs. I am thinking of doing 3000 grafts and was thinking of getting 2000 frontal and 1000 crown. Dr. Limmer said we can talk about it when I go in but thought I'd ask you guys if maybe I should change the numbers around to 1500 each. Your opinion is greatly appreciated. I am attaching pics.
