  1. Really sorry for your loss Denny. Thoughts with you and your family
  2. I e-mailed Dr. Erdogan's clinic a week ago and have still had no reply. I e-mailed again four days ago and have had no reply to that either. I appreciate, as someone else said, that the doc is overwhelmed at the moment but still, how time-consuming is it to just fire off a quick reply thanking me for my interest and that someone will get back to me soon? Contrast that with my six separate e-mails to Dr. Hakan Donagay's clinic which were all answered thoroughly and each within 24 hours. It's frustrating because I've heard only good things about Erdogan but it seems his customer communication really needs improving.
  3. I called in to see Mick on Thursday for a catch-up. The new premises are VERY nice. I think it's safe to say the new furnishings weren't from the latest DFS sale. Anyway, Mick was very generous with his time (when I phone him he always reckons he's only got a minute to talk, but he obviously realised as I'd driven a hundred miles he couldn't get rid of me so easily:D) The refreshing thing for me is that he just absolutely doesn't give it the hard sell. This is why I respect him. He could easily have used the opportunity to try to sign me up to another transplant, but that's just not his style. Back in 1998 when I first met him he practically tried to talk me out of getting one! Told me to get on meds for a year first. I've felt nothing but complete integrity from Mick and the Farjos in all the time I've known them. I may well have another ht with them at some point but I know it will be when I decide and not from any pressure applied by them. Thanks for the catch-up Mick and for your help and advice.
  4. Have you tried getting it from your gp on a private prescription? This would cut the cost dramatically - I paid around ?7 a time for four months supply when I used it. (now stopped it - too many side effects) Don't understand why people are always encouraged to buy from places at extortionate prices when it's possible to get it prescribed far, far cheaper.
  5. I agree to a point. However I feel strongly that all clinics have a duty from an ethical point of view to divulge this very important fact verbally and not just in witten small print. If I was in business and taking deposits from people, I couldn't live with myself unless I made this fact clear to a customer. And HT patients can be a vulnerable lot sometimes and don't always think to ask the important questions in the stress of the moment.
  6. Another vote for Lee Dixon from me. Won't be Shearer as he's over in Poland for the Euros. Also doesnt come across as he type of bloke who's concerned about hair loss. Looking forward to watching this.
  7. I've just spent the last half hour reading through this topic and as others have pointed out, the paragraph in bold really troubles me. Frankly I'd say it stinks. Are we really to believe a top clinic cannot fill a cancellation spot despite having four months in which to do so? This is what Dr Feller is claiming. He will know whether they performed a HT on a replacement patient on that date so unless he is being untruthful he is expecting us to believe that he and his team sat around twiddling their thumbs the whole day cursing Bobilero. I'm not saying the doc is lying, only that I would have thought that three to four months would be ample time to find a replacement patient for that date. Looks like we won't get an answer on this though. Shame, as Bobilero has been accused of being economical with the truth, maybe the same can be said about the clinic themselves.
  8. Congratulations ukbloke, That looks like great work as usual and even though you have a pretty large area to cover I reckon you will be very happy in a year's time. Also your donor hair looks great and plentiful should you require future work. You were in very capable hands with Dr Farjo. Heal well and roll on next Christmas! LP
  9. Spex, I take your point but I reckon my need for concealers is greater than yours! All the best to you and your family and to everyone on here. Mick, Not sure I like to be termed a 'lurker' but I suppose it's true! I'll probably be bending your ear in the new year so brace yourself. Merry Chrimbo to you and all at the clinic.
  10. Top work Mick, He's gone from a rather artificial looking hairline to a completely natural one. Similar to what Dr. Farjo achieved for me a couple of years ago. I let a couple of family members see my hair yesterday without the thickening products I still use (mainly for the crown these days) and they were amazed. Asked me why I bother with them when it looks so natural.
  11. Thanks again mate. We've both come a long way I reckon and one more session should sort us:)
  12. Cheers Balody. I'm really happy with how the last ht went. It really beefed up the frontal density. I'm keeping an eye on my crown though and I'm not ruling out another Manchester visit at some point. I occasionally bend Mick's ear about it and he tells to stop being so bloody daft. I might have to try his glasses on one of these days just to see what magical powers they hold! How you getting on mate? You still considering getting back in the chair?
  13. Only just seen this one. Can't wait to see this one develop Mick. Everything in place for a fantastic result. Hopefully he keeps us posted.
  14. Mick, Work looks really good as usual. Have you got him onto the meds to try to maintain the crown? Hope you're all well
