chest hair

What is the success rate of transplanting chest hair on your head. I had 80 FUE done as an experiment way back near the crown. Hairs never fell out but are stubs still sticking out as I can feel them. They have not grown in 10 months. I need additional hair to finish the second and last stage of what I can do. No more donor hair on my head is available. Doctor suggested using beard hair under my chin. He said I may notice scars but no one else will. Don't think he is taking much there anyway. I prefer chest hair because scars will not be visible. THe hairs taken out before left no visible scars.

Anyone have an opinion on the success of chest hair or beard hair and what kind of scar would result from taking beard hair. By the way, I don't grow a beard nor do I want one.

Thanks.

Boston,

Success rates with body hair transplantation (BHT) are lower than scalp hair transplants. Frankly, I'm not sure if exact figures exist, but it is a much less common and more complex process, so the success isn't as certain. If you're considering this, I highly recommend seeing a surgeon who is well-versed in body hair transplantation. What's more, BHT is usually only recommended after scalp hair from the normal donor region is exhausted.

I hope this helps!
