Day 13 Stitches are out! 11/14/2012

I had the stitches removed today. There was some slight bleeding where the knots were but other than that there was relatively no pain. all of the crusts have fallen off of the graph site and unfortunately some the transplanted hairs have fallen out as well Still using the copper peptide shampoo, spray and lotion, and using the minoxidil foam x2 daily. Ordered some new shampoo today as the copper peptide one that I have was just a sample size and it won't last much longer. Also have been usi

Day 8 11/9/12

Finally able to shower normally. Having to use the cup method was truely a PITA. My scalp has started to form crusts and scab over and I am feeling tissue building up in the donor area. Hopefully the itching subsides soon. Still using the copper peptide shampoo, and have noticed that small amounts of crusts are starting to come off. Called the Doctor about using minoxidil today, they said the foam was preferred and that I could start using it immidiately on my hair if I wanted to. I ordered

Day 3 11/3/12

Got to wash my hair today, Used the cup method. Tried calling the Doctors office because the instruction sheet says to massage lightly during shampoo, and in his office he said not to touch it. I didn't touch it just in case since I didn't ever get in touch with them. The pain is much better, woke up virtually pain free, and all day the only pain I am having is when the suture line gets bumped. Was outside all day, wearing the hat they gave me. Got a little itchy but it was manageable.

Day of Surgery 11/1/12

Working nights I got off around 0520 and made my way to the doctors office. Having to fight heavy houston AM traffic I arrived just shy of 0800. They were very helpful and I was ready to begin the procedure by 0900. The Doctor drew on my scalp a rough sketch of what my hairline would look like and away we went. they began with several injections of a local anesthetic around the donor area and began to remove the onor piece. It was a very weird feeling as i could not feel any thing sharp but i c

Day 2 11/2/12

Can't wash it today, the pain is pretty bad, trying to stay on top of it with ibuprofen and vicodin. The swelling in my head has gone down some, and the pressure isn't as intense. We didn't buy the $500 healing kit, but bought copper peptide spray online and have been using that, and the cream on the suture area.
