Dr. Hakan DOGANAY

Hello All, I have been doing this job since 2002. I use Choi Hair Transplanter / implanter Pen technique. With this technique, I use small pen needles which has 6-7-8 diameters for planting grafts into recipient sites. After the surgery, patient's recovery is faster and the result is natural. To extract the grafts from the donor area, we use small blade called micro-motor, it has 0.7-0.8 mm diameter and does not harm donor hairs' roots. Please check the pictures to see my technique. My HT Journey....So far :)

Hi all, This is my first ever blog, leave alone about hair loss, so my apologies if this is long winded or if i go off on a tangent. Basically I am losing hair since about 9 years, did'nt notice much at first. I had thick hair on top, crown and comparatively less hair at temples. But since mid 2006 started noticing my crown. Gradually the crown started widening. Since mid 2010-the hair started disappearing rapidly from my front and now i can see my scalp from the front clearly. Now the hair

15 Days Post Op

Just hit the 15 day post op mark and I am more or less back to my normal routine. Stitches were removed 5 days ago (not as painful as people predicted) and the donor area feels fine. Both the nurses removing the stitches and my barber commented on how impressive the incision area was. With the exception of some continued numbness in my recipient area, my head feels pretty normal again. There really weren't any significant complicaitons during my recovery time. Except for fighting boredome and su

Post op 12th day update

Hi friends, Today I reached my 12th post op day milestone..! And I have listed below of all the happenings so far... 1. Starting with the donor area, I have removed the sutures on the fifth day. I guess its started to heal well now and the pain is almost nil. 2. Regarding the recipient area.. well there wasnt any noticable bleeding from the site during any of the post op days.. so im hoping there are no graft loss. recent HT and have 2 questions. very concerned

I had my HT at True and Dorin 3 wks ago. I was very impressed by their professionalism and the procedure went well. I have 2 questions post op. Please view the photos in my profile and comment 1. It looked like the FU's were popping out o f my scalp after the first hairwash. I used the cup pouring method and did not rub the scalp at all. I was alarmed and contacted the DR. The told me it sounded normal and not to be concerned. I emailed them the photos but did not receive a response. what

Hair Transplant Primer - Part II

Hair Transplant Primer - Part II Hair Transplant FAQ <!--[if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->What is the similarity between hair transplants and organ transplants? Hair transplants are very unlike organ transplants. Firstly, it is an elective procedure not a life saving operation. Most organ transplants are usually a matter of life or death. Dr. Feller to the rescue

I received a very successful FUE hair transplant with Dr. Feller last year and I have another one scheduled with him this month. I would recommend reading this post because I used another doctor Prior to DR. Feller and had poor results. I wish I went directly to Dr. Feller from the start. I attempted my first FUE hair transplant at the very end of 2009. I did a lot of research and determined that FUE was the best route to go because I wished to keep my hair short. I decided to go with a Docto

Need Veteran's Help for "New Guy" Questions...

I'm getting the hair transplantation surgery done within the next 2 months. I'm looking for a high quality surgeon within a few hours of me. Dr. Michael Beehner, M.D.seems to be one of the closest, most experienced, and most trusted physicians by his patients. That being said, I've viewed some of the Norwood Class III hair loss patients final results (15 months later). In all honesty, I can't say that I would be even fairly satisfied with the resulting frontal hairline (after 3,000 FU grafts

Hair Transplant Primer - Part I

Hair Restoration Hair loss is one of the most common medical problems and it will affect most men at some point in their life. A complex hereditary condition androgenic alopecia – baldness can begin for some even in puberty. Women can also suffer from androgenic alopecia. There are only two FDA medical solutions that can positively affect hair loss; finasteride (Propecia) and Minoxidil. Still, hair transplants are the most natural, proven and permanent solution for baldness. The FDA medication

wigs or hair systems!

Guys, Would any of you know how to spot someone wearing a modern wig? They are supposed to be so good now that apparently it is very difficult to tell the difference. I know this 44 year old guy at work and I often wonder if he is wearing a very good system because his hair at the fringe always seems to be the same length. It is quite a floppy fringe of coarse hair and neatly shorn in round the sides, but although I might only see him once every 2 weeks i never notice a difference in length. A
