Follow-up to meeting with Dr Lindsey and Spex @ 9.5 months

Just a quick update following my meeting with Dr Lindsey and Spex last week. Both were of the opinion that I still had a bit of maturing left, and that we would review after Xmas. Dr Lindsey is prepared to do a scar repair job for me FOC. It was good to meet Spex for the first time, and see for real his amazing barnet.

My Hair Loss

I am really tensed, panicking right now. Because it seems I am losing hair by the day. Now, hair loss would have been no issue for me, if I was in my 40's and had everything else in my life. I am 22 and this hair loss is really bothering me. I had such nice, heavy, thick hairs 5 years. I had great looks. Anyways, now I am looking for my options. I have been on minoxidil for last 2 years. Maybe that is why I am just NW 2 and the condition is not very bad. For last 8 months I am using Laser Thera

Before and After 2684 Grafts FUE by Emorane Lupanzula carried out at The Glasgow Clinic

My hair loss! I began losing my hair at the front in my early twenties and eventually accepted that it was inevitable and that there was nothing that could be done about it apart from clever (and expensive) haircuts which did a pretty good job of hiding the fact that I was losing my hair and that the bit at the front was getting narrower and narrower! Despite a good haircut to hide it I still felt self-conscious every time I leaned forward, which as a professional DJ I do a lot! There’s also

My experience finding a HT surgeon

I wanted to share my HT experience with any others interested, since this forum was useful to me when I first seriously investigated the possibility of a transplant. I had 2500 grafts transplanted in a single procedure on August 9, 2012 by Dr. Mark DiStefano at his CT location. I have a norwood 4 hairline. Time will tell if the rule of thumb touted, (norwood scale x 1000 = grafts needed) was a good scale or not. I suspect I was like many others when they first looked into a HT. I did web s

1 Month Post-op

No news at this point. Not really expecting anything. I felt as if thre was some shock loss. Now i can't really tell from the pics. However, I have noticed some additional hairs in the sink. It could absolutely be my imagination as I'm really looking for it at this point but there really are no major asthetic changes as of yet.   Something to note - I think everyone anticipates shock loss to be radical (the name does imply major loss). However, it really isn't as drasitc as it seems. It's so

Propecia Finastride

I have been taking this drug without any negative effect. Its hard to say if I have seen any results due to the fact that i was on rogaine for a year before, but i figureed it wouldnt hurt.   Anyways my question is, with all this negative reports on Propecia and people talking about the potential of this drug being banned, should I discontinue the use? I do plan on having kids one day and I am curious as to what this efffect it may have on me. Again it has had ZERO side effects but my main c

Hair Transplant Overseas( Tunisia) Dr. Tahar Djemal

Has anyone had any experience with a hair transplant in Tunisia? I had work done by Dr. Tahar Djemal for 2000 Grafts, and its only been 4 months, but he only worked on the hairline. I still need more work done. I am thinking about getting the rest of my work done in Mexico. Any doctors or places for reccomendations for people who have had similar experiences?   PS: i dont want to hear about being cheap or pricing, or any of that. I am here for people who have had similar experiences as me a

Medication : Finpecia 1mg, 1 Tablet everyday

HT 2, 8.5 months

I've added a selection of different photos under different lights, in slideshow format. The density is better than following the Transmed hair transplant, but still quite thin overall I feel. After a spurt of growth around March/April, there's hasn't been much change in the last couple of months. The scar has not changed at all, and is still very wide and bare. I am meeting Dr Lindsey and Spex in a couple of weeks for a review.

Not receding but very very high hairline.

I am 19 years old and throughout my life have been teased for having a very high natural hairline. I am looking into options of wether or not I can get it lowered. It would be such a relief not to have to go through day to day basis with this annoyance, and looking at other people with normal hairlines in a jealous rage. I know things could be much worse, like actually loosing hair or having some disability, but I am just wondering if there is anything I can do about this? My family has no histo

Not QUITE yet fully Month 4

This picture was taken on September 15th before I hopped out of my car to take care of some errands. In this shot, you can definitively see the improvement from the day of the surgery up until now.   Now when I look in the mirror, the area almost looks like myself back in the day when my head was shaved down, only up front. The area is shaded in nicely and if you look at me from the front the illusion of density is starting to form.   For not being at the full mark of month 4 just yet.

Month three - August 22nd

These photos are a little tricky. One of them you can't really tell much difference from the past month. The other however, you can see that there has definitely been some positive growth. At this point I was able to look in the mirror and definitely see some definitive improvement. Slow, but steady improvement. Which is a good thing.

Month Two Progress - July 9th and 25th

Now, I'm not sure if this is just implanted hairs that have not shed and thus fallen out, or what. I'm going to err on the side of caution and say that these were implanted hairs from the donor area that basically did not shed. But I personally felt that starting month two, especially at the end of the month, I was already seeing improvement.   These pictures were the best I could get with the lighting, and you can see that the area on my head is still quite pink. The numbness lasted for qu

July 5th Scar Updates - Month two

Work has had me insanely busy since the Surgery. Today is the first real day I've had a chance to actually sit down and relax enough to update this. Which is, long, long overdue. After taking multiple pictures every day I decided it was simply best to take a few pictures each month and then select the best one representing the Progress thus far.   Stuart fired me off an email asking to see an update on the scars and if I could send photos. I had enough time to send them off to him and
